Predatory practices

Predatory practices. They entice you to sign up for a free trial by offering a discount on parking if you sign up for their monthly whatever . I only need to park for a weekend, so no need to keep the trial. It was super easy to sign up! But when it was time to Unsubscribe? You can't. Not from the app. Not from the website. Not from chatting with an AI agent. They said they'd transfer me to a human. After 20 minutes the request timed out.... twice. So i call them. I waited on hold for 40 minutes to finally speak to a human.

Paid for parking in Houston and got a ticket. I went to the website and disputed and ticket was not removed. Zero customer service and parking systems that do not work and they continue to harass you.

A few Pros; too many Cons

For 4 decades, I have gone to the beach and paid parking via street meters. Today, it was changed to ParkMobile. I do not have a smartphone, so I could not park near the beach. No other logical option is available. The Pro to this is: I found, with a little research, free parking all around the neighborhood, so now I pay nothing. The Con is that I must walk an extra block to get to the beach, The answer to most questions of this nature is - MONEY. The areas that use ParkMobile no longer have to use people to collect from meters, nor monitor or maintain meters. This saves the city a lot of money. Yet, in going in this direction, the requirements to use ParkMobile completely disqualify any of the public who is not technologically savvy. But these people no longer matter in the eyes of the cities who convert to ParkMobile or similar services. The revenue saved by eliminating meters far outweighs the revenue generated by those who cannot and will not use ParkMobile. That's why they do it. It's all about making more MONEY, not about providing CUSTOMER SERVICE.

This company used deceptive practices

This company used deceptive practices, tiered pricing is not mentioned when you extend your parking meter. I do not mind paying money if I am informed what the charge will be and I can chose to park there or move somewhere else. No where was it mentioned about tiered pricing for a spot, on the sign or using the app. Will never use this company again. Awful experience reaching out to to customer support as well.

Consistently horrible

If I could give ParkMobile a negative rating, I would. I utterly despise finding a parking garage that uses ParkMobile (listen up Fort Lauderdale civil "servants"). The app appears to update weekly, so the first thing I find out is I can't do anything until I update the app. Then I'm perpetually signed out of the app. Getting signed back in is a time consuming, cumbersome process. Using the app is hit and miss and its not uncommon requiring several tries to finally get a confirmation that I've paid for parking (and worrying how many times I've been charged for the same transaction). I figure it takes me 15 to 20 minutes to complete a ParkMobile transaction vs about 2 minutes for PayByPhone. This is an utterly incompetent company that obviously provides it sales people with liberal means of incentivizing obtaining business. Usually from municipal facilities as the private sector knows better. I've now uninstalled the app. A way of forcing me to simply look elsewhere for parking.

I reserved and paid $16.50 for a prime parking space across from the Briwn theatre Louisville. When I arrived the lot was oversold and I was directed to the dirty $3 lot the next street over. I had to walk in the dark to the show. I could not find anyone to get a refund or email. Do not use this scam company.

I paid for parking at the State Farm…

I paid for parking at the State Farm Arena Ruby Lot. When I showed up to the lot I was told by the attendant that, "the lot was for performers only" and that I couldn't park there and that I needed to go to another lot. We ended up having to pay for parking somewhere else. We paid in cash and did not have a receipt. Because we didn't have a receipt from the alternate parking, when I asked for a refund, the refund was denied.

Customer service = useless.

Tried to use the app in Toledo. Selected google pay. Resulted in error "0". Switched to plugging my credit card directly. When I did that it resulted in "gateway error". Never started a parking session and gave up. Returned home to find 13 charges from the app. Customer service first said they were probably pre auths. They weren't, fully posted. Pushed further and said they don't see the charges in my account. I said obviously, no parking session ever started, but doesn't change the fact they charged me 13 times. Still persisted that they don't "see" them. Gave up and disputed with Amex.

Buyer Beware

Buyer Beware: Services not rendered as advertised. My parking validation codes from the restaurant did not work. I called ParkMobile during the allotted 2-hour session for the validation codes and they refuse to help.

Paid to park and still got a ticket!

Paid to park for 3 hours in Pensacola fl and 2 hours later I get back to my truck with a parking ticket on the windshield. It's a terrible app and a waste of time contesting it. The mayor's idea was to raise parking rates so less people would go downtown, well it worked I won't be going again.

A Cautionary Tale of Misleading Practices and Poor User Experience with Parkmobile

My experience with this parking application was profoundly unsatisfactory. The application's interface is not only unintuitive but also misleading, which significantly impacted my attempt to reserve parking in New Haven from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Contrary to my selection, the application initiated the parking period immediately, extending only until 4 PM, rather than the intended time. Efforts to rectify the timing within the application were futile.

Upon contacting their customer service center, I was informed by a representative, located in Mexico, that the error was attributed to my misuse of the application. Further attempts to amend the reservation led to an additional, rather than an extended, parking period, culminating in charges for parking until 2 AM, with separate transactions totaling $24 ($8 initially, followed by an additional $16).

This necessitated a dispute of the charges through American Express. The practices observed with this company's application not only compromise user experience but suggest a broader issue with how the application processes user selections, lacks flexibility in modifications, and ultimately, the company's accountability in addressing these systemic issues. I strongly advise caution and recommend reconsidering the use of this company's services.

ParkMobile Customer Email Sold or Compromised

ParkMobile is apparently selling customer email address or had its data base compromised. I have received a (disgusting/obscene) scam/phishing email at an address used only by my ParkMobile account. There is no way to conveniently report this compromise on the ParkMobile website. I'll take it up with my city, I guess, if I have the time. (I'll cancel my account, at least.)

Don’t bother! Scam!

Total waste of money. The app takes your money but doesn’t guarantee a parking spot when you reach destination. Paid $45 to reserve spot for Billy Joel concert at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, IN & couldn’t get to the parking lot where we paid to park! Had to pay additional $50 to another private lot so we could see concert. Park mobile has not responded to my complaint & request for a refund. Complete scam to take people’s money.

SKIP THIS APP. Glitch causes costs.

This app is not working properly and therefore resulting in costs to the user. When seeking help from customer service they straight up deny this and are leaving people with costs. Many other reviews confirm this and i am confirming it aswell.

Avoid, if you can

I was forced to use this company as my local council had a contract to handle parking permits. Hammersmith and Fulham Council recently ended their contract with ParkMobile, my account had credit on it so I emailed ParkMobile to get this refunded. They stated they have no contract with any councils to which I replied a picture of the permit with their logo on and top up confirmation emails from @parkmobile.com. They they said, contact the council who had already directed me to them! Frustrating. + I also don't now how much credit I had as I cant log on or see my account.

Triple charged me for a one day parking…

Triple charged me for a one day parking and the explanation I received from the rude Customer Service Rep. was that I am triple charged because I didn’t allow my parking time to expire before I extended my parking? In other words I’m being punished in the tune of $36.00 for a $12.25 parking fee for being proactive & not wanting to get a parking ticket.

Difficult to use, deceptive pricing, spammy

I parked my car in a regular parking lot but when I went to pay the only option was to download the Park Mobile app. It was really hard to register and even more difficult to pay - it took me about 15 minutes to complete the process, not exactly convenient and I would have never parked in that parking lot if I knew it would take that long.

To add insult to injury, once I finally managed to register and add a payment method, the price displayed at the parking lot entrance was $8 but the app actually charged me $13.

And of course, the app immediately started spamming me with "offers".

Park mobile may be covenant but it won't be once you receive a parking citation on you car windshield even if you've paid via app. I was a frequent user of this app but after receiving two parking citations even after I paid I've decided to call it quits on this service. I don't know if there is some type of technical glitch or a hold of information from the app to the meter maids but it needs to be fixed. It;s safer and easier to use coins and plastic.
