THEY IGNORE DISABILITES AND MEDICAL CONDITIONS!
I am certified legally blind and I have a blue badge. I also have Type 1 diabetes, which is a life-long autoimmune disease. My husband is my eyes and also drives me wherever I need to go. On 10/03/2025, we parked at a Starbucks to get a drink, but popped into a shop next to the Starbucks first. While in the other store, I began to have low blood glucose levels. If you don't know, this can lead to several issues, including blacking out and death. I had things in the car that would raise my blood sugar, but I advised my husband to start heading home in-case I needed to go to the hospital. I wanted to be able to go the hospital that I'm familiar with as the blindness makes me nervous when I'm in unfamiliar places. We ended up not going to Starbucks and, luckily my blood sugar came back up to a safe level in the car. We then got a parking ticket from these people. I appealed and explained what happened, attaching my blue badge and certificate of severe visual impairment. They didn't acknowledge or accommodate my disability e.g. by calling me so I could speak to someone. They then sent me a copy and paste letter, with zero information about the appeal, where the only personal details was my name, car reg. and vehicle number. They are shocking at customer care and they won't offer any accessibility options. They also won't read your appeal and will charge you the fee no matter what. Money grabbing and zero care or consideration for anyone.
