Worst parking experience ever

Worst parking experience ever. I thought we would have to call he police to get out of the garage. #1. Not everyone has a cell phone #2. The app was very complicated and kept rejecting our credit cards — that we knew were perfectly good #3. By reinterring credit cards it gave us a feeling of being scammed. #4. The person at the gate was extemely patient and helpful but was having difficulty with the app #5. I feel like I was in prison #6. I will never park in that garage again. #6. Way too expensive!

Very user unfriendly system.

I pulled up to the booth when I entered the garage and inserted my credit card into the machine. It did nothing. There were no directions on what to do. I couldn't back out because there were cars in back of me. I noticed a QR code on the machine so in my frustration I took a picture of it and then suddenly the gate went up. We drove in and parked. Later on I noticed that I received a text asking for my credit card info. I provided the info, but wondered what do I actually have to do to get out of the garage. I asked the guy in the office, but he said that he was a security guard and not trained on the system. He did give me some tips, and when I left I took another picture of the QR code and the gate went up. Better directions need to be provided. I will avoid this garage in the future.

Total Scam…

During our recent Back to Back Hurricane Events here in Florida, the City Advertised that the Parking Garages would be free of Charge to assist in securing our vehicles. After the Storm devastated the area, I went back to retrieve my car and at the time of check out was slapped with a 200.00 $ Charge to exit the Garage. Although my car survived the Storm and I appreciated the City's offer, I did not not appreciate BEING SCAMMED FOR $200.00. As is common during our Storm Events, everyone is out to make a buck afterwards and will screw whomever to do so. As the saying goes,"Live in Learn" from your past experiences. I won't be using your garage in the future and hope others benefit from this post in learning how you all conduct business and profited from the Storm.

Sundial Garage-When Their System Fails, They Will Charge You For The Delay

When attempting to exit the Sundial garage, the card reader system broke, meaning no cars could pay to exit resulting in mass delay for all those parking in the garage that evening. There was only as single employee dispatched to service multiple lanes of cars attempting to leave and there was no sign of "management" support or involvement. The employee's service was excellent.

The decision by management to charge all cars leaving was bad, and as a result I will no longer be parking in the Sundial Garage. We waited more than thirty minutes to leave, and the multitude of cars behind us likely waited longer. That we were still charged for parking at all after such a system failure was poor, but that we were also charged for the additional time we had to wait on a slow phone based system is intolerable. The decision to charge customers when the system shows that the management company behind Sundial Garage, and all other garages they own, is pathetic, shameful, and cheap. Awful service from an awful company that holds parking in the city hostage with their poor, greedy practices.

Profiteering during a time of crisis is a bad look

Parking.com allowed people to park for "free" during Hurricane Milton but the gesture was misleading. Their facade of doing a kind thing for people evacuating during the hurricane was not appreciated. They allowed people to park for "free" as long as they picked up their vehicle by Friday at 5pm. When the county announced that no one would be allowed to return to Pinellas until Friday morning, they did not change the time. And despite the devastating damage the area received and the extreme circumstances people were under they did not change the deadline. I paid $40 to store my vehicle as I was unable to retrieve it until Saturday at 2pm. That means they charged me $40 for being 21 hours late. Great way to earn business for yourself when you would have otherwise earned nothing due to the storm, bad way to earn repeat customers. I attend Sundial often and will happily go out of my way to avoid using this garage again.

The machine entering the parking lot…

The machine entering the parking lot would not take my credit card. I stopped at the office before we returned to the car and tried to pay my ticket, but they told me to just go out the gate and do it then. Nothing was working and even the gentleman that came to help us had a terrible time getting it to0 process. Not a positive experience.

Parking for St. Pete’s Beach

There was confusion after I paid for parking as to what we should do. As a senior citizen I was not able to see any from the payment I made. I drove to the exit anyway and was ready to provide my payment info to the clerk at the gate. Low & behold once I got there the gate went right up. That was great however it was very confusing to me. The rate was good, the parking was a bit confusing as you have to drive around in a complete circle to find parking a parking spot.

Very easy to park

Very easy to park, in great location, friendly help. I had a problem paying because it was after hurricane warning had gone by. Got online and "no problem"!! Parking garage was clean and well kept... not like some you park at "that are scary". Have parked in their garages many times... always easy and safe!!!
