I intended to purchase a 2-hour…

I intended to purchase a 2-hour parking, so I think I increased the unit by 2. But I ended up purchasing a 2-day parking (which costed me $50+). I think the UX is a bit confusing, and parking confirmation email is not clear enough for me to find it out.

In addition, is there a way to modify a purchase shortly after the transaction?

Something changed

Something changed. I used to be able to buy 24 hours and extend as needed. Now I could only buy 12 hours, not extend, and for the same price as 24 hours.

Pay Attention to Prices & Time That is Posted

Was very easy to find & pay for parking using the QR code on the sign at the pay station. They do charge $1 for processing fees if you pay this way though. I highly recommend you pay attention to the posted prices on the signs at your parking lot. It stated $30 for all day, but when you go to pay, it asks how many hours you plan to park there. We picked 4 hours because we weren’t sure, but around the 3.5 hour mark, I received a text saying my parking was about to expire. Worried, I clicked the link to see if I just needed to adjust the time since I had already paid for the entire day. When I went to add my time, it tried to charge me another $30! So I ignored the text, left the car where it was, & all was well. Very sneaky that they tried to charge me twice for all day parking.

Since "1 hour" parking was the only…

Since "1 hour" parking was the only on-screen option, I was concerned that running over to 2.5 hours would present a problem. I didn't see any way to extend my parking time. Why wasn't there an online option to request more hours? I did not hear from you about paying for additional time. I had no trouble, however, departing from the lot.

The Epitome of a Parking Scam

To pay for public parking but still have to worry about people stealing/breaking in to your car is just wild to me. Don't even get me started on how trash the road is and how badly paved it is. There are rocks everywhere and a huge dip that scratched the bottom of my car. If you charge for parking, make it worth it, do better. I wouldn't have given this poor review if it wasn't for the fact that they keep bugging my email with notifications and begging for a review, so here you are.

Great access to Exploratorium

Once I found the lot, it was fairly easy to find parking and pay for my parking.

The navigation of the lot was a bit difficult inside as many rows were a “dead-end” and other people seemed to have a difficult time getting their car in/out… and could use a bit of repaving/grading as there were large water-filled potholes.

I appreciated the discount offered to the Exploratorium guests! (See the Exploratorium website for the code)

It would have been nice to know how long I could park there before the rate would increase (ie, does it increase at midnight? Or after 24 hours?).
