Recruiters were very helpful and friendly. Zoe in particular helped with interview prep which was greatly appreciated!
My recruiter Vincent gave me all the tools to be successful for my interview process. Took time to meet with me about questions I had and just talk as a person not just as a customer. I appreciate the effort and the connections that I gained through Pareto
Luke Froster was amazing, always there to help, always responded fast and was always available for a chat on LinkedIn. I was successful on my assessment day against 10 other applicants on the day due to his and Zoe Beechinor’s help for the whole of my preparation that I needed for the day.
Lucy Canney was excellent to deal with and understood my career aspirations
Tobias and Lucy both gave good interview prep as well
Not 5* as a separate recruiter on the assessment day falsely assumed I was looking for 4 times the advertised base salary and didn't think to question/confirm if this was true.
Been dealing with a lot of recruiters for the progression of my career and want to give deserved recognition to Luke Forster.
Calm confident and great communication on what the Pareto process entails.
My experience with Pareto was genuinely one of the most disappointing recruitment processes I’ve encountered. The assessment day felt poorly designed and deeply inconsistent. Rather than objectively assessing skills, potential, or suitability for the role, the process appeared to hinge heavily on personal rapport and subjective preferences. In my assessment group, it was hard to ignore how favour was shown toward candidates the assessor personally clicked with (for example, bonding over supporting the same football team), while others demonstrating equal or stronger competencies were overlooked.
This made the whole exercise feel performative rather than professional. If you’re not immediately “liked,” it seems your actual abilities count for very little which undermines the entire premise of an assessment centre. The pay on offer also does not reflect the intensity, expectations, or pressure of the roles being marketed. When combined with a recruitment process that lacks transparency or consistency, it raises serious questions about how talent is evaluated and valued.
For a company positioning itself as a gateway to high-performance sales careers, I expected a fair, evidence-based process. What I experienced instead felt arbitrary, biased, and discouraging.
I would strongly caution graduates to manage their expectations and not assume this is a meritocratic process. There are far better recruiters out there who assess people on what they can actually do, not who they happen to get along with.
From the very first interaction everyone at Pareto was very professional and helpful. I am very grateful for the opportunities that have been put my way and some of the very helpful prep, communication and feedback from the team.
Huge thanks to Nicole Skelland for her amazing work for the past few weeks, a real asset to the organisation I must say, extremely professional and always on the ball.
Big thanks to Zoe Beechinor too for her help and providing me with great opportunities, another great asset to the team, very professional and responsive also.
Thanks also to Aimee Hughes and Matt Mills for their support throughout the process.
Finally thanks to Luke Forster who was the first to contact me at Pareto, very professional and made a great introduction to the company.
I had a great experience with Pareto from start to finish. The recruitment process was smooth, professional, and very well organised, and I was offered a role within a week of my assessment day, which really impressed me. My recruiter, Nicole Skelland, was fantastic throughout the entire process, always supportive, responsive, and kept me well informed at every stage. She also made the whole experience feel straightforward and stress-free. I would highly recommend Pareto to anyone looking for a professional and efficient recruitment company.
I wouldn't trust this lot to secure a job for the most skilled person in the industry.... Pareto covers all areas from law, food partners and deliveroo to business operations. They appeal to lower ranking university students who skimmed a 2:2 as reflected in their assessment days...
From their complete lack of professionalism, to the condescending and quite frankly uncomfortable way you're spoken down to and smirked at when answering interview questions and how they favour certain groups over others... This iz one of the many reasons for their Plummeting Reputation. Not only this but their air balloon group activity and how many themselves are uni students taking a year out for work themselves, I cannot in the right conscience suggest them to ANYONE. AVOID AVOID AVOID for peace of mind and go somewhere else worthwhile for professional a First job....
During my job search, I came across a job advert for an ‘Entry Level Grad Scheme’, which I applied my skills and knowledge to. I was then contacted, and on the call, I was asked about my experience and told that this was a SALES grad scheme. The person on the phone acted as though this should have been known, when it was never mentioned on the application.
However, I attended a phone interview and was invited to an assessment centre. The staff were so eager, attentive, and helpful during this process. I ended up succeeding at the assessment centre and had a plethora of opportunities presented to me. Instead of having one account manager helping me, I had around four different people from Pareto approach me with opportunities. They all seemed unaware of each other and what had been assigned to whom. The first opportunities I had been offered, I was very eager about; however, the account manager just stopped replying to me for nearly a week.
When I began to book interviews, the preparation calls consisted of ‘Do you have any questions?’ ‘Do you feel prepared?’ with no real substance or preparation. Some account managers were more helpful than others in this process, but they usually remained the same.
Following the interviews I attended, I would hear nothing from the account managers regarding my status. I would have to contact different account managers, which was confusing as there were multiple and sometimes I couldn’t remember who had given me the opportunity. Despite being told by the companies I had seen that I would ‘hear in the next few days’, I waited nearly two weeks for some jobs and heard nothing. I contacted one of the account managers, who seemed genuinely surprised to hear from me, and then told me I was unsuccessful, and had known this fact for over a week.
The account managers are more concerned with the numbers and getting people into jobs without really asking if it’s what they want. When I preferred an opportunity that another account manager had given me, one account manager began unprofessionally bad-mouthing it, as he would not receive the commission if I didn’t take his opportunity.
I do not recommend this recruitment agency, or, forgive me, these ‘talent partners’. Of the successful applicants I kept in touch with following the assessment centre, I believe that none of them have been placed, which is extremely unfortunate for the statistics we were presented with non-stop.
I can't speak highly enough of Pareto's role in my career switch into tech sales. I had interviews lined up within 24hrs of my remote assessment day, and have now accepted a position in fintech/ cybersecurity. Particular thanks to Luke, Lauren and Meg on the Preto team, and I wouldn't hesitate recommending the wider Pareto operation to anyone considering a career pivot.
Great experience, Kathrine Alexander was extremely helpful and helped me prep for everything. Would recommend for those looking to enter sales
Got a call from someone at Pareto about an entry level graduate scheme I applied for. As soon as I mentioned I’m a freelancer he said they want “people in business” and ended the call right was as I was mid finishing my sentence.Didn’t match the job description when they say a degree in every discipline and felt unprofessional.
Nicole Skelland is an amazing recruiter. I had many recruiters put me forward for just 1 role and then give up. Nicole put me forward for multiple roles all similar to one another and even when one went bad she kept persisting. Eventually it led to me being offered a role and it’s all thanks to Nicole’s persistence and communication. I could not recommend anyone more highly for finding anyone the right job!
I am really pleased with the opportunity this company has given to me.
I have been contacted by Lauren Stein for a job role in SaaS and without her support I wouldn’t have been able to pass the interviews stage. She been very friendly and supportive to guide me through the steps and the questions I had to prepare for, plus suggestion on the research and answer I had to take. I got a job in less than a week. Very very grateful. She is a genuine young woman full of passion and determination for her job.

Had a wonderful experience with Pareto. Ben (Graduate Manager) contacted me the day after my application and 2 days later, I was at an assessment day. Ben gave me a lot of helpful pointers and ways I could stand out, and I felt he was extremely friendly and helpful throughout my experience.
Very impressed!

I had an amazing experience with Pareto throughout the application process. Before the assessment day I had calls with Katherine and Arty to help me with my prep but also to tell me all about the day. They were both so helpful and made me feel much more confident going into the assessment day.
