Information provided by various external sources

Parallel Skiing is a registered Sports Club in Germany and itself a member of the Bayersiche Landes Sport Verband BLSV. We are made up mostly of expats living and working in Munich mostly from Asia and Eastern Europe. Our language of communication is English. We promote recreational winter sports among our expats and we concentrate mostly on alpine skiing but have occasional sledging, ice skating and cross-country skiing. We specialize in teaching those of our members, who have never skied, to ski using the direct parallel short ski method. We have our own ski equipment that we provide to our members and we organize lodging and car-sharing for our ski trips. We also offer a Kinderskikurs München at which we speak English and German.

Best Ski School

Using the Kurzschimethode (short ski method) Parallel skiing teach you to ski parallel from day one (no learning to snowplough and then unlearning again). You start on skis just slightly longer than your feet on fairly flat terrain and quickly build up confidence to progress to the slopes on skis that get longer with each day of tuition. Usually within 6 days you'll be on full length skis and able to ski most of the mountain. This method opens up the possibility of skiing to a much wider audience, and is done in a fun and interactive way. I tried to learn with the traditional method but couldn't come to terms with skiing at all, but having learned with Parallel skiing I gained a whole lifetime of skiing that would never have been unlocked without them! If you're in the Munich area there is no better place to learn to ski!
