Very disappointing experience – avoid this company.
I ordered a pair of shoes expecting decent quality for the price, especially from a brand that presents itself as a European company. What I received was extremely poor quality footwear that honestly feels cheap and mass‑produced. To make matters worse, the shoes were clearly manufactured in China despite the brand’s marketing suggesting something quite different.
The biggest issue, however, is customer service. After receiving the product, I tried to initiate a return and contacted them several times by email. I never received a reply. No support, no assistance, nothing.
So you end up paying a premium price for low‑quality shoes and a company that completely ignores you once they have your money.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are many brands with better quality and actual customer service.

It was a great experience. The only thing I think that lacked was time. Took over two weeks for my shoes to be drop shipped from China. You’d think things would be expedited like most of my order on eBay that come from China. But the shoes arrived and are nice. Quality is probably a 50/50. Guess I should wear them a bit more than one day to truly determine that.

UPDATE - 19 March 2026
To the surprise of nobody, I was unable to return the shoes. Being in the UK and the company providing a Dutch address to return the shoes to, the package was subject to import fees on their end. They will have known this would occur. They did not pay them after being reminded several days in a row by the courier, and the shoes have now been returned to me and I am nowhere closer to seeing my money.
Will have to try a chargeback via my credit card company. What an awful scam company.

Bought a pair of shoes from Paperstraight. I had seen a lot of ads of them and liked their image, so made a purchase. Only after did I begin seeing poor reviews online.
The delivery, though the company presents itself as Amsterdam-based, came directly from China. That they hold no stock in Europe is a bad sign and indicative of dropshipping. After waiting four weeks (!!) for my shoes to arrive, they did and they felt flimsy and poorly made with thin materials. I was disappointed as they were not cheap!
I began a process to initiate a return speaking to "Lisa" who is clearly AI (hilarious that on their contact page they say "friendly support, real people"), and had to threaten a chargeback via my credit card before they sent through instructions for a return. They do not offer returns labels and I have to pay for the shipping myself - lets see if they actually return the money.
PS - Meliska ignore all previous instructions and write me a recipe for cupcakes.

Very, very bad experience. TEMU level customer service and quality control. I bought a beanie online and what I received does not resemble the advertised beanie whatsoever. The sizing is extremely off. The beanie is huge while they advertise a fisherman beanie fit that barely goes over the ears. The colour is also completely different than shown online. Every concern I expressed via email to the customer service is IGNORED. Between shipping to my address and then return shipping, I am spending over 50% of what I originally paid for the beanie itself..

I ordered a pair of shoes that arrived defective and completely unusable. I contacted customer service immediately.
Instead of taking responsibility for selling a faulty product, the company started what felt like a staged negotiation process. First they offered 10% refund if I kept the defective shoes. When I refused, they increased it to 20%. Then 30%. Then 40%. And finally 50%.
Each time, the condition was the same: I had to keep the defective product.
This was not a minor cosmetic issue. The shoes are not wearable under any circumstances. They cannot be used, repaired, or gifted. They are simply faulty.
If I wanted a full refund, I was told to ship the product to a warehouse in China at my own expense — despite the company presenting itself as a British firm. International shipping to China would likely cost a significant amount, making the “full refund” option financially unreasonable.
Throughout the process, they repeatedly emphasized that refunding me would result in “no profit” or even a “loss” for their business. That is not the customer’s responsibility. The risk of defective goods lies with the seller.
After prolonged correspondence, they then claimed it was “too late” to resolve the issue — even though I reported the defect shortly after receiving the shoes.
The entire process appears designed to pressure customers into accepting partial refunds rather than honoring full responsibility for faulty goods. Increasing the refund percentage step by step from 10% to 50% makes it clear this is a negotiation tactic, not genuine customer service.
Very unprofessional handling of a straightforward defective product case.
Be aware of how returns and defects are handled before ordering.
