Data Monitoring Services offered by a Mysterious/Suspcious Technology Company

This company seems to provide a number of services to companies related to medical & financial data monitoring related to security breaches. I received a letter from an insurance company, associated with a former employer, insurance notifying me of a security breach.

The insurance company contracted with Pango under the company name CyEx Medical Shield, which appears to be an affiliate operation Pango and Intersections LCC. Only through following a number of different links was I able to get more information. Seems a bit shifty to me because I was not able to find information about CyEx Medical Shield specifically.

Information on the Med Shield reads " I authorize Intersections LLC, also referred to as Pango, to obtain my credit report and/or credit score(s), on a recurring basis to provide my credit report (and/or credit score) to me for review while I have an account with Intersections." Does not seem to be a very transparent.

When you search for Intersections LCC, Dunn & Bradstreet identifies them as doing business as Aura and providing " Intersections provides credit management and identity theft protection to subscribers in North America." The intersection website link provided goes to a website that identifies itself as "not-for-profit organization that has been creating opportunities for change among children and families since 2002".

The insurance company is providing monitoring services for a period of two years. While I trust the insurance company, Pango is a mystery and not one I've ever dealt with when notified of security breaches by other companies. Furthermore, Pango appears to have changed it name to The Point Group
