Wrong item sent, no adequate return/refund option
When buying a mouse pad here, keep in mind that you’ll actually be getting the same pad from AliExpress — just at double the price. The product will literally arrive at your home directly from China, the seller doesn’t even handle it personally. In reality, this is just a proxy — you’re paying extra for a nice-looking website. I wouldn’t recommend overpaying; it’s simply not worth it. But the overpayment isn’t even the most interesting part. My story is a bit more curious than just paying double for a regular Chinese mouse pad. I ordered a 1200×600 mm pad advertised as 4 mm thick for $62. The day it arrived, I immediately noticed it wasn’t 4 mm thick — it was only about 2.5 mm. I emailed the store right away with photos and measurements. They replied that I was using the wrong measurement method — apparently, I needed to use a caliper, said Greg from customer support. So I found a caliper, measured the pad properly, and sent another photo. Then I was told that my caliper wasn’t the “right kind.” Eventually, I managed to convince Greg that the pad was indeed thinner, and he offered me a refund of around $3 — the price difference according to their website. That solution didn’t seem fair to me, so I suggested a $15–20 refund. In response, they offered $5, so I asked to return the item for a full refund instead. They provided a return address — in China. After checking the shipping cost (a bit more than half the price of the pad from Poland), I asked Greg who would pay for the return and whether it even made sense to send it back to China. Greg replied that return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility — and must be sent only to China. We had quite a long exchange with arguments from both sides, but here are the key facts: pandapads admitted their mistake — I received the wrong item. pandapads valued their mistake at $5. pandapads believe that even when the error is on their side, the buyer must pay for the return shipping. pandapads are legally registered in Hungary, but in practice you’re buying directly from AliExpress at their marked-up price. So far, I haven’t received any refund, and I find pandapads’ return policy manipulative — you either accept their minimal offer, or you pay an unreasonable amount for return shipping, which makes the whole process pointless.
