Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 80 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the customer service, describing it as unhelpful, non-existent, and difficult to reach a live person, often encountering bots or overseas associates who did not resolve issues. People frequently reported problems with their orders, including missing items, wrong products sent, and significant delays in fulfillment and shipping, sometimes waiting months for their purchases. The delivery service was also a major point of contention, with many experiencing slow shipping, lack of tracking updates, and even stolen packages due to poor handling. The minority of people were dissatisfied with the product quality, noting issues such as flimsy toppers that easily blew off or peeled, weak magnets, and frames that did not fit properly or had visible defects. However, some customers also mentioned that the prescription lenses were accurate and that they appreciated the versatility and design of the frames and toppers, despite the other issues.

Pair Eyewear

would like to post a complaint about Pair Eyewear . I bought a pair of eye glasses at America's Best. America's best teamed up with Pair Eyewear. Pair Eyewear has glasses where you can change the look of your glasses with "Toppers". You can not order most toppers through America's Best. You have to order Toppers through Pair Eyewear, online. I ordered 2 Toppers. Total cost 50 bucks. My order was sent 6 weeks ago. Never got them. They sent out a replacement order. I still have not received either order. They use DHL as their third party vendor. DHL is incompetent. I call Pair Eyewear's customer service. They have people who can just speak enough English to understand them. Each order is have called about, I was told to wait 10 days. I wait 10 days. I call back. They say wait another 7 days. Then they will send out a second replacement order. I have been going through this for over 6 weeks. Still have not received either order. My daughter wanted to buy a pair of glasses and Toppers directly through Pair Eyewear, but she is very apprehensive given the bs and money I am dealing with. My advice. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY or their products. Their corporate office is New York, and their distribution is from California. It's not coming from China. I have had letters sent to me from Florida that arrive in 2 days.

These glasses are hot garbage

These glasses are hot garbage. The "toppers" they sell you for $30 are not only cheap looking, but the reflection from the inside of the toppers, once you walk outside, cancels out 40% of your vision. Terrible design, poor execution, worse customer service.

The website had all sorts of annoying…

The website had all sorts of annoying hurdles just to get to viewing the frames. No information about types of lenses or prescriptions available (not all frames can support my eye prescription). At some point I got a quote for £80 plus, which was more expensive than my local optician's cheaper range of single vision glasses and my optician would've given me a full eye exam and looked at my retina, checked pressure and advised on cataracts. I can't feel safe ordering online until I understand what is being offered. It feels automated. It probably is.

Avoid Avoid Avoid

Bought the "warranty" that says 1 year from date of delivery. They tried to say that it was from purchase. They won't send proof of when it was delivered.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Their ‘customer service’ is severely…

Their ‘customer service’ is severely lacking. I exchanged my first order and was given store credit. There was an issue with my second order where the magnets weren’t right and the top frames fit incorrectly. The customer service ‘rep’ (which I hesitate to use because I’m fairly certain it was AI) was completely useless, asking me the same questions repeatedly and recommending I ‘just bend the top frame to fit’. After going around in circles I requested a refund. They immediately gave me my options (without acknowledging my frustration). I returned the product and was only refunded the additional $5 I had to pay above store credit amount. It took another five days to make contact with another bot only to discover they had put the remaining $160 on a gift card (for more Pair eyewear), THAT THEY NEVER SENT ME. It would appear their policy is to stay quiet about any remaining funds until the customer jumps through hoops to get it back. I demanded a full refund, which they immediately granted. So I guess there’s that. But remain vigilant if you choose to buy from them. There’s no phone number to call, and the term ‘customer service’ is wildly exaggerated.

Paireyewear is a SCAM!!

It is one start because 0 isn't an option. I ordered these glasses on December 13, 2024. It is now January 28, 2025, and they haven't even started working on my prescription. I have screenshots of my order confirmation page and emails from them saying they got my order. I have also been charged $110.68 but I still have no glasses. I have reached out to them and have not heard back from anyone. I have tried their Chat robot and with my email and order confirmation number, the chat bot cannot find anything.
This company is a scam, I have read multiple reviews of people not getting glasses and having their money taken from them. I am reporting them to my bank and hopefully getting this company shut down for good.

The best glasses I've ever owned

The best glasses I've ever owned. They are also the most expensive pair I've ever owned, but with 3 toppers I have 4 pairs really. My prescription is moderately strong, but with the thinner lenses they are great. I chose to have a blue light filter added, it's the first time I've tried using a blue light filter and it's made a big difference to how my eyes feel after working all day on my computer.

Horrible customer service

Glasses were shipped and received promptly, but I discovered they are not for those with strong prescriptions. Even with ordering the premium high index lenses, the lenses were still way too thick and the glasses way too heavy. I initiated a return of the frames and the topper, returned them to the UPS store and received email confirmation. I then received a second email that my refund had been adjusted to include only the topper as the frames were not returned (which they were). I sent an email to customer service on 12/31/24 and received an automated response that my email had been received and would be replied to in 24-48 hours. I assumed it would be a bit longer due to the holidays, so I waited. I then received another automated email on 1/6/24 stating that they were running behind on replies. As of today 1/13/24 I have received no response to my email nor have I received a refund, not even for the topper that they advised was being refunded. The product is good if you have a weaker prescription, but if you need customer service, it’s non-existent.

Avoid in the UK

Had been excited to order from Pair when I saw the variety and pricing however if you are purchasing in the UK, Pair cannot 'legally' process your order without a written signature from your optometrist on the prescription, this is not my experience with other online glasses companies. I am not going to pay for another prescription. Now Pair have got over £130 of my money and not responding to the 3 separate requests I have made for a refund.

I am extremely unsatisfied with pair…

I am extremely unsatisfied with pair eyewear.
They advertised that their glasses are affordable. The frames are not terribly expensive, but the lenses are astronomical, my glasses ended up costing me close to $500, not including what I paid for the toppers.

I've had these glasses for less than a year and they broke today. Pair eyewear does not offer repairs. I have taken them to a local optometrist and because of the way that the earpiece has separated from the glasses, they are not repairable.

The toppers are a cool idea and the whole reason why I wanted to get these glasses to be able to change up by luck easily. Unfortunately the toppers do not stay in fixed to the glasses. They were constantly falling off to the point where I almost never use them because they were more of a hassle than they were worth.

I do not recommend getting these glasses. They are not quality. The toppers do not function as they appear to in the commercials and the quality of the glasses in general is poor.

Need Stronger Magnets

The concept is great, but the product needs a bit of improvement. The magnets that hold the toppers are not very strong. The slightest jar or bump and they fall off. Stronger magnets and a magnet in the middle also, and I might try them again. I sent them back.

Don’t expect to ever see your order or ever speak to anyone at the company!

I’d give them zero if I could!
Placed an order nearly 2 months ago and still not arrived. Customer service is non existent. Automated phone that says no one is available and hangs up. Emails that never get replied to. Money taken but on my account on their website the order never went past processing.
Reached out on Facebook again absolutely no response.
I think the entire outfit is an absolute scam!
Luckily my bank looked into it and refunded my money. DO NOT BUY FROM PAIR EYE WEAR.

Very very slow shipping

Very very slow shipping. I can kind of understand slow shipping of the prescription glasses as they have to make them. However it's been 3 weeks now and I still don't have the toppers . I don't understand why it should take that long to receive the toppers. I got my temu order faster than these toppers which I haven't got yet and I put a temu order in on the same day as my toppers from pair eyeware . Temu shipped from China and Pair eyeware ships from California. And forget about paying extra for faster shipping. That's a joke. I'm just going to make a silicone mold and create my own toppers.

Can't Make Lenses, Holding Money Hostage

I received an email that they cannot make lenses in my prescription and now they are essentially holding nearly $300 hostage, trying to sell me $60 nonprescription glasses I have specified twice I am not interested in. I have stated to an individual named Jay twice to refund my card.

This is fraud. And people need to know.

I love pair eyewear

I love pair eyewear! The glasses are the best quality I have ever seen, budget friendly, good options for base frames & you can get various of options for the toppers to change your look without breaking the bank! Coming from someone who has to have glasses because im blind as a bat & have to wear them all the time; I'm very self-contious and have never liked myself in glasses but pair changed my whole outlook & my confidence! This is just from the base frames alone that gives me my confidence, I receive my 1st topper today! I never thought I'd love glasses until I found out about pair eyewear! Thank you pair eyewear!

Brilliant product!

Brilliant product; I love my glasses!!! I have had no issues with this company since placing my first order back in September for a pair of glasses and three toppers. Everything was shipped in a reasonable timeframe, well packaged, and delivered to me in the UK. An item I ordered had not been received, so I contacted customer services and the missing item was sent out to me. Since my first order I have placed a further two orders of additional toppers. I have received so many comments on my glasses that I do not regret buying them at all, and they are a great conversation starter!!!
