Lovely experience with this team

Lovely experience with this team. Very quick service. Had consultation and the infusion all in under a week, such a breath of fresh air after years of suffering. Remains to be seen if it's had any effect as only had it today, however wanted to leave a review as Nurse Ilona and Dr Udeshika were lovely and really put me at ease. Took the time to explain everything they were doing/what was going to happen, and very attentive for any side effects. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, in fact I already have!

If you're not being listened to then go to The Oxford Iron Clinic

After over three years of struggling with iron deficiency and anaemia, I had reached the point where I felt completely exhausted, frustrated and honestly quite distrustful of healthcare professionals. I kept being prescribed oral iron tablets despite my symptoms continuing and my iron levels not improving. Id also previously had a gastric sleeve and this was constantly used as a reason for my iron deficiency.

I decided to contact the Oxford Iron Clinic privately, and from my very first interaction I felt listened to. I was offered a consultation the same day and had my iron infusion booked just two days later.

I was incredibly nervous beforehand, but I really didn't need to be. Everyone was kind, reassuring and took the time to answer my questions. Daniella was my nurse and I saw both Dr Pavord and her fellow. The infusion itself was straightforward, completely painless and I had no side effects at all.

I'm now three weeks post-infusion and the difference is remarkable. My fatigue has improved so much, I have more energy, and I finally feel like myself again. After years of feeling unwell, it's such a relief to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Ive since had an ultrasound and been found to have multiple polyps, a cyst, fibroid and potentially endometriosis, so I foresee surgery and more iron infusion in the future. In my experience if something feels off keep pushing.

I only wish I'd found the clinic sooner. Thank you to everyone at the Oxford Iron Clinic for making what felt like an overwhelming situation so easy and stress-free. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone struggling with iron deficiency, especially if oral iron hasn't worked for them.

So glad I went to the Oxford iron…

So glad I went to the Oxford iron clinic. I initially had ferritin levels of 19; after 9 months on strong iron tablets this had risen to 29 (due to bleeding) so only borderline low - but I was still having symptoms- which I thought might be linked to iron - anxiety and headaches mainly, which were having a big impact on my life and work (and I had been having for 2 years plus). I went to the Oxford iron clinic in slight desperation- my GP said my iron levels weren’t low enough for an infusion and to stay on the tablets. GPs seem to put these things down to mental health issues (of which I have no history). The iron clinic doctor really gave me time, listened to me and did a thorough initial consultation online. The infusion was simple and stress free. From initial contact to infusion was less than 2 weeks. Within 2 weeks of the infusion I was feeling a lot better- I’m now 6 weeks later and feeling better than I have in years. I no longer have daily headaches, my anxiety and particularly stress tolerance is so much better. My quality of life has improved hugely. I would recommend without reservation.

Very positive experience!

I had a really positive experience with Oxford Iron Clinic. Udeshika and Ilona were all fantastic—very attentive, caring, and reassuring throughout my iron infusion. I never felt rushed, and they took the time to explain everything clearly both before and after the treatment, which made the whole process feel very easy and stress-free.

James at Oxford Iron Clinic was also incredibly helpful from the start, always replying very quickly and making everything smooth and straightforward to arrange.

Overall, the service was professional, kind, and efficient, and I would highly recommend Oxford Iron Clinic to anyone considering treatment there.

I can't wait to see how the iron infusion changes my life! I will definitely go again if I need to!

Outstanding support and fast turnaround

I had an excellent experience with Oxford Iron Clinic and cannot recommend them highly enough.

From my very first call with Jamie, the level of support and efficiency was outstanding. Once he understood the time-sensitive nature of my situation and the pressure relating to my aviation career, he arranged everything incredibly quickly. I was able to have my iron infusion completed within just two days of my initial enquiry, which was truly impressive.

I then met with the consultant director, who was highly professional and took the time to fully understand my case. The medical report provided was clear, detailed, and tailored to meet the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) requirements, which significantly helped to speed up my medical certification process.

Every member of the team I encountered was caring, attentive, and professional throughout. I felt genuinely supported at every stage.

I have full respect and appreciation for the team, and I would highly recommend Oxford Iron Clinic to anyone, particularly those needing prompt and reliable care in time-sensitive situations.

Outstanding care

After years of struggling with low ferritin and anaemia, and getting very little support from the NHS, I finally decided to seek private care. I am so pleased that I did. The care that I received from the entire team was exemplary. I would not hesitate to recommend them. I felt listened to, cared for and supported throughout. Worth every penny.

Excellent service and care

Having low iron symptoms and feeling dreadful I struggled to get much help from my Gp so decided to contact Oxford Iron clinic for advice. I had a online video consultation with Dr Weerabaddana which was very thorough and she not only gave good advice but carefully listened to all of my symptoms and concerns. I then proceeded to book my infusion, James took care of this for me and answered my numerous questions with expert knowledge as well as patience as I was very nervous. On the day Dr Weerabaddana and Daniela the nurse greeted me warmly and put me at ease. They looked after me so well and the treatment went very smoothly. I have felt the benefits already with no side effects so am over the moon as I have upcoming surgery and now feel stronger to cope with it.
I would not hesitate to recommend The Oxford Clinic.

Iron infusion

I went to see my GP in January after suffering from utter exhaustion, hair loss, breathlessness, tinnitus, heart palpitations and other symptoms. I had a blood test which showed my serum iron to be under range and ferritin only 5.

After being fobbed off by my GP who said my results were ‘borderline’, I was fortunate enough to have private healthcare through work and arranged a referral to the Oxford Iron Clinic.

I spoke to Dr Pavord who diagnosed severe iron deficiency and recommended an iron infusion which took place the following week.

The team were so helpful, I felt listened to for the first time and now, two weeks post infusion, I feel like a different person. For the first time in over 10 years, I’ve got the energy to do something other than work and collapse on the sofa in an exhausted heap.

Thank you so much to the whole team, you really have transformed my life.

I highly recommend Oxford Iron Clinic.

I just want to share what a positive experience I had with the Oxford Iron Clinic and Dr Sue Pavord. After being totally brushed off and invalidated by my GP when my serum ferritin levels came back at 10 and I was living with daily, debilitating symptoms, I spoke to Dr Pavord directly on the phone and she was so kind, compassionate, and down to earth. She offered me a consultation through her clinic 3 hours later that same day, where we went through my medical history, current symptoms, blood results etc. She then recommended an urgent iron infusion in her clinic in Oxford for 7 days later. Within 15 minutes of the consultation, Sue had sent me a clinical letter detailing our discussion, her diagnosis, and recommended treatment. Her clinic manager, James, also made contact with me that very first day and could not have been more helpful. I received my iron infusion on the 30th Jan, and the staff in the clinic were equally as wonderful and kind. It was a stress free, easy experience and I felt so looked after. I did feel a little rubbish for a few days after, symptoms similar to a heavy cold where you feel quite achy and low energy. But 10 days on, I feel brand new. I can now walk a few steps without feeling breathless, dizzy, or like my heart is beating out of my chest. I am no longer floored by crippling fatigue regardless of how much sleep I get. My mind is clearer and daily headaches have gone. My reason for iron deficiency is due to malabsorption, and so I know this will probably be an ongoing and lifelong issue for me. But when I need further support or treatment, I will be going straight back to the Oxford Iron clinic.

Sue is one of the most experienced in her field and after extensive research, I’m here now having my iron infusion. Sue spent 22 mins on the phone with me prior to the infusion basically informing me what nobody else has ever told me in terms of how and when to take my PPI medication and wow, the best money ever spent. James, upon submitting my request, gave me a courtesy call. Danielle at the clinic was just amazing and 38 years in the industry, knew her stuff.

Overall, an experience I would certainly do again if needed. Thanks all.

Superbly efficient and kind

The information in the lead up to my consultation and treatment was clear and thorough. I was seen quickly following my first enquiry and able to clarify any points I needed on the way. The staff were superficial and friendly and provided detailed information about my treatment both during and for after care.

The staff were wonderful and very knowledgable. They made me feel safe with the procedure and that my comfort was in the forefront of their minds at all times. It was a very positive experience and I would highly recommend going privately for an IV Iron Infusion

Excellent experience

I've had many iron infusions before at other clinics and this was we hands down the best experience, Dr Udeshika and Daniela were so warm and caring, we chatted so much I forgot my anxiety and the treatment passed by quickly. They were extremely professional and executed the treatment smoothly, quickly and completely painlessly.

After feeling dismissed by other doctors who did not recommend infusion, Dr Pavord was very responsive, I appreciated her bedside manner, I felt listened to and cared for, and I appreciated how the clinic was able to very quickly move me through consultation to treatment without having to wait. I felt that she treated me as a whole person, rather than simply responding to numbers on a blood test. Thanks very much!
