WARNING - OXBRIDGE GONE BUST

Edit- having tried to contact them for a week now, it seems they may have called in the administrators yet are still selling courses they no doubt won’t supply. AVOID.

Awful company. Do not use. They started off bad and have just gotten worse. Never respond to emails, never answer the phone. If you ever do get through they tell you someone will call back and they don’t. My daughter has submitted work well over 2 weeks ago and received nothing back, yet they email saying we’re close to the year and if we go over we have to pay more. Each module takes at least 2 weeks to mark and in that time they lock down the course. That’s 24 weeks unable to access the notes. Unacceptable and totally unprofessional company. The course notes have loads of mistakes.

I would never recommend Oxbridge to…

I would never recommend Oxbridge to anyone. My daughter’s experience on their course has been awful from start to finish. Her work wouldn’t save properly, so she had to redo sections over and over again, which caused her a huge amount of distress. On top of that, teachers were extremely slow to mark assignments, so she couldn’t track her progress. This is unacceptable for any student, but especially damaging for a disabled student who needs consistent support.
We were also mis-sold the course — over the phone I was told she would have two years to complete it, which was the only reason I agreed to pay in full, using money I had saved for her education. Later, I found out this wasn’t true. I feel completely tricked and ripped off.
Despite raising these issues, nothing was resolved. Their terms and conditions even state that refunds are available if there are system failures, but they refused to take responsibility. The quality, the misleading information, and the lack of care have left us feeling exploited and let down.
I strongly advise others to avoid Oxbridge. Save your money and your child’s wellbeing — look elsewhere for a provider that values honesty and proper support.

Failed to deliver

Initially it was great, then they stopped marking my assignments. I am not getting any response to my emails to my tutor and student support. I cannot talk to anyone on their phone line, you wait for 15mins then get sent to voicemail, yet no one calls you back. The chat bot also ends up with no one calling you back. Take your money, then fail to follow through

Waste of money, disappointed

Oxbridge
Its not for young people who need guidance.
Over rated and under delivery.
They are only interested in collecting their money. That's it.
First they sent the wrong exam board.
Communication is zero.

I can't remember one time they actually checked how the child was getting on.
Total waste of money.
This online school did not help at all. Waste of money. I will not recommend at anytime.

Everything started off ok, but….

Everything started off ok, but half way through the course emails are not being replied to and I’m unable to access my course content. I’ve now received an email from Open Awards saying that Oxbridge is being investigated and that I need to take legal action to get my money and work back. Very concerning!!

Very Disappointed

Enrolment took 7 days not 48 hours as stated. No one responds to messages via chat or from voicemail messages left, no one answers the phone. For over a week after paying we couldn’t get any response. Poor basic support by tutor. Basically left my daughter dropped in the deep end and struggling to get to grips with it all. Had the cheek to suggest she study GCSE instead. (She got an 8 in GCSE). Poor initial contact, no introduction and support to start it all off. Seriously considering using the cool off period. Very disappointed with entire experience

I am really disappointed

I am really disappointed, they haven't marked my last assignment since July. I received an email saying that they are experiencing a staffing issue. I waited a few weeks after, thinking that they would sort it out, but still no reply. They do not answer their phone either. This is about time and money. I did the course Early Childhood Education, thinking that I would get a pay rise after completing the qualification. This affects my mental health and family life too. I hope that they will do something to drag me out of this mess.

Poor feedback

30 days without response from anyone at Oxbridge. Messages, emails and phone calls go unanswered. No feedback on any social media platforms. Very disappointed that this has happened and would like a refund. There is no explanation for why there has been no response from anyone tutor or agent for 4 weeks.

Took my money and ignored me for weeks.

I enrolled with Oxbridge a year ago and selected the Functional Skills Level 2 Math, SNA, and English package.
During my time with them, I had little to no issues beyond my tutor. However, exam marking takes up to a week or two for a reply, which isn't great considering the time-sensitive nature of access to the course. Still, after passing, I started the Math portion of the course, and this is where the issue started.
I found that I never received a reply from my tutor, except on a couple of occasions. Additionally, getting my mock exam marked took up to 4 weeks, and sometimes the feedback contained ambiguity that wasn't helpful for progression.
I sat my exam and failed, so I revisited areas where I struggled and booked another exam.
This is where my complaint of the business and organisation really cemented a level of unprofessionalism that's unacceptable.
After paying for my exam, I was informed that I would receive an email with access within 3 days, as I was already registered. After a week, I still hadn't received the email, so I contacted Oxbridge. They informed me that there was an issue with booking the exam and would reschedule it, getting back to me within 2 days. I heard nothing. After that week, I have spent over 3 weeks every day calling, emailing, and trying Love Chat to speak to someone and all messages are ignored, all calls are left in queue until I'm asked to leave a message which I have, all chat requests online time out, all submitted forms are replied with "please call us to enroll autmopmated messages"
The way I have been ignored for nearly a month after paying for my exam is disgusting and completely unfounded. This has been such an issue that I've filed a complaint with their award body, ombudsman and my bank to not only get back my exam fee but the payments for the course. I have kept receipts, a recording of all interactions and records of attempted calls and messages.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

**BEWARE OF SCAM**

**BEWARE OF SCAM**
do not pay into this; please do further research.

unfortunately after very nearly paying close to 2 grand towards oxbridge home learning, i have found out that this company has gone into administration and is bust. they are attempting to rebrand under the name ‘Barston College’, if you check the corresponding website address it also leads to here. check trust pilot reviews by recent, allegedly they have not paid employees or even sent out details to logins or anything- and it makes sense why. it is absolutely beyond me how they can still take enrolments despite their situation, and it’s shocking how easy it is to fall into their scam given their previously good reputation.

additionally i’d like to add when i was enrolling via email my father was repeatedly not CC’d into the conversation despite requests to, and the invoice was done in my preferred name rather than my legal name (which i appreciate i asked for all contact to be done with it, however the statement would be incorrect, and i did provide both). some of their website is incomplete and you’ll actually find for some of their courses their descriptions are just copy paste templates of others- this lack of care should be indicative of a clear issue happening within the company.

please do not give your money to this company. this conduct is appalling and absolutely predatory towards students.

Not great

It had been fine until recently but an assignment uploaded on 31 July 2025 has still not been marked (it's now 17 September).
No response from tutor after email sent.
Can't get through on the phone. Webchat not being answered. Email not being answered.
No idea what it is going on at Oxbridge so I'd be careful spending any money with them.

Great sales team selling courses - when company already in administration!!

What a disappointment!! We thought we had found a wonderful online school for A Levels. Great sales team selling courses over the telephone telling you everything you wanted to hear! It sounded too good to be true! And sadly it was!! The company was already in administration yet they were still selling courses to unsuspecting punters!! They took my money yet we never received logins. I had to BEG for a receipt by requesting it numerous times with their online support staff!! Then the online staff and telephone went unanswered.... FRAUD! DECEIT! SCAM! Beware!

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. I bought the GCSE History course for my daughter and I had a problem so contacted her tutor over a week ago but no response to my urgent request to speak to him. I have tried calling for the past week, on hold for 15 minutes each time then voicemail. Then I have left messages requesting an urgent call back. The online chat throws you off. I fear I have lost all of my money. It's disgraceful

Well I guess all the reviews here…

Well I guess all the reviews here explain why my last two assignments haven’t been marked and my tutor has stopped responding! Absolutely gutted. I’ve literally sent my last assignments in for my level 3 drug and alcohol counselling. I did a level 2 counselling skills with them last year too which was well supported throughout so I am pretty shocked here. I am totally lost now. I’m 43 years old and this was supposed to be my carrer opening course. Unbelievable.
