The Ownwell team is amazing!! I have used Ownwell services for our property couple years already. They were able to successfully get a SIGNIFICANT reduction in property taxes for us. They are very professional, prompt in responses . I referred to my friends, they all have very good feedback. This was all done online. I highly recommend them for the property taxes evaluation and appeal process.

I switched to Ownwell for property tax protest several years ago. I saved 6.36% the first year and 4.75% the next on one of my rentals and similarly on the other. Total savings so far around $2000. Easy to use online platform. And last I checked they are less expensive than the other tax protest companies.

They have been very helpful. We’ve been able to save about $2000 over the last two years.

I signed up and realized I can do more than what they can do, so I cancelled within 24 hrs via email and phone call. I got the email about the cancellation. Surprisingly , when I went to appeal my taxes, Ownwell had already claimed on my account that they are my agent, and now I had to go through the removal process with my tax district which is a long process. I don't recommend this company as this behavior seems to be super imposed and aggressive. It's like they want to OWN you WELL if you make the mistake to sign up.

Dont sign their "contract" and dont use these guys! They will deny you gave proper notification to cancel even if you sent them an email "two months in advance". They'll claim you didnt send it a specific email address for cancelations.

Stop them by throwing any kind of mail that’s says you have to pay for this type of work taken care of don’t be fooled by there quick to respond scams it’s not an emergency and you can protest your own taxes for your homestead don’t be Fool about people like this

Check the see if you are signup for homestead if not get signed up yourself
It’s thing you can do yourself without paying someone to do and then take a percentage of the research if any still after paying upfront fees scammers needs to get a real job

They do not know how to protest Multifamily property taxes! Worst experience ever! They convinced me to switch my apartment portfolio to them and on the initial appeals they got zero reductions which hurt my chances later. Working with Ownwell cost me $500K in extra taxes across my portfolio and it was the worse decision ever. They may be good for single family, but definitely not commercial or multifamily. They don't have the relationships needed with the county or the knowledge. You've been warned.

I tried appealing my property taxes in san francisco during 2023 when my bill was clearly over market as the market was in the toilet. i'm a realtor & have a handle on the market but felt too busy to spearhead it myself. they spent nearly 3 years doing the appeal, lost it completely/recovered nothing & refused to appeal. even though i know for a fact that the city commonly issues refunds in this situation.
