Weeks after I bought a bike from Outlet Cykler I got into an accident during which the bike fame got broken. When I called to the factory looking for its replacement, I learned that the frame is so outdated that they have not been making those for years. Which means, my new 4500 kr worth bike is rubish. I believe, I should not have paid this much for a bike which parts cannot be replaced. I informed the bike shop about the accident hoping that they would suggest a solution or give me a discount on another purchase. But I have never heard back from them again.

The frame isn't outdated. You have purchased a new bike from the 2nd latest production batch, with the only difference between the latest version, and the version you bought, being the colors. The frame itself is the exact same. The latest (2017) version is still for sale on the manufacturers re-seller site (as a whole bike, not just the frame).

To elaborate on the e-mail you sent us about 10 minutes prior to this review, it is wrong to claim the frame as being 20 years old. You may have had a misunderstanding between the 3rd. party mechanic (not us) and the manufacturer.
To confirm the age of the bike yourself, you may look at the manufacturer identifier (SKU number) of the bike, the 4th and 5th digit indicates a 2016 version (it says 1 and 6), and the serial number (also noted on your invoice) shows the manufacturing year from it's last digit. In this case, being an L, the bike frame is in fact manufactured in 2016. The misunderstanding could be, that the manufacturer may have heard it as being an old bike you made an inquiry for. The L on the frame serial was also used 21 years ago in addition to year 2016.

Back to the point. As with an automobile, if you break a part, you can replace it, but if you damage the frame of the vehicle, you aren't able to swap it for a new one in a cost efficient manner (beyond repair&out of warranty). As a service, we then asked the manufacturer for an offer on a replacement frame, hoping they kept a spare one in stock. Our request to them is about 17 days old and sadly, we haven't heard from them yet.
As you wrote this review about 10 minutes after you asked for an update, i am not sure if you still want an offer on a replacement frame (but we will of course send it to you when we hear from the manufacturer).

Fast and convenient shipping, got the bike fully assembled and ready to go. Even the lock was attached to the frame.
Unfortunately we purchased the wrong bike for my son's age and Outlet Cykler staff was very helpful to address this issue. At a later stage we agreed that was better to return the goods and cancel the purchase with a full refund.
To us this is a Fair web trade and return policy which means we will do business again in the future with Outlet Cykler. 5 Stars.
