Don't order if you're in the UK

I ordered to the UK over a month ago, and twice they couldn't provide the correct details to get through customs. In the end, they told me the package had been lost... and issued a refund. Who knows. I'll never order from them again. The only reason there are 2 stars and not 1 is that their customer service was pretty quick to respond.

Sneaky hidden charges

Sneaky hidden charges. you think you are getting a good deal, you pay postage and then UPS hits me with a £78 fee for import fees. This now brings the total cost of the item to more than the manufacturer. I saw the bad reviews and thought id be okay, I was wrong. Don't use these guys, they are sneaky and sly.

Goods not delivered

I have as yet still not received this coat - despite having placed the order one month ago. The company took payment for the coat immediately.
I have contacted Outdoor Supply 4 times to find out what is going on with the order. They were either waiting for the coat to reach their warehouse, or waiting for the delivery people to come and collect the coat from their warehouse !!!
I was informed on 17th of March that the coat had been shipped.
However - I have not received it (to date).

The service provided by this company is extremely disappointing. It is ridiculous that the item has not been delivered - I placed this order and payment was taken one month ago !
I do not feel confident that the item is going to be delivered.

BEWARE IMPORT TAX

I had no idea I would have to pay £66 to DPL for an import tax. My invoice didn't mention this - I didn't notice anything on the webpage when buying. They should warn UK customers.
I feel hugely ripped off. Bloody Brexit - what a big fat lie that was.

Misleading co.uk domain


I ordered from Outdoorsupply.co.uk thinking it was a UK-based retailer (the .co.uk domain and UK-sounding address in the invoice fooled me). The total was around £265 for walking boots and socks.
To my surprise, UPS contacted me demanding £84 in import fees because the goods are shipped from the Netherlands (Etrias in Boxtel). The order confirmation and checkout gave no clear warning about post-Brexit import charges for UK customers, despite the company being fully EU-based.
When I questioned this with customer service (via the @etrias.co.uk email), I received no response at all – communication feels non-existent.
The products themselves look good, but the lack of transparency on extra costs (adding over 30% here) is very disappointing. If you’re in the UK, be aware this isn’t a domestic purchase – check shipping origin carefully or consider true UK retailers to avoid these surprise fees.
Avoid unless you’re prepared for potential import VAT and brokerage charges on top of the listed price.

Import charges to the UK

Outdoorsupply had the boots I wanted in stock, where everyone had sold out in the UK.
Quick acknowledgement of my order.
Well packaged - arrived in perfect condition.
On the less positive side, I had no communication about how the order was progressing.
On the very negative side, whilst the Dubarry boots were £30 cheaper to purchase than in the UK, there was a massive £97 bill to pay for UPS to deliver. I had understood (from links and research) that just UK tax at 20% would be applied /charged, so was concerned that it was so much more expensive. This was on top of a delivery charge from Holland.
UPS wouldn’t deliver the boots until the invoice had been settled, so there wasn’t a choice if I wanted to continue to purchase them. I could possibly have refused to pay & they would be returned to sender. It’s not what I wanted to happen, and there may have been a charge to pay for the order being placed & the boots sent, irrespective of whether I had received or kept them.
There is also the issue of charges had I wanted to return them. I knew exactly what I was buying & that they would fit me. I wouldn’t recommend buying them to try at home - with the delivery fee import charge & potential return costs it would prove an expensive option.
Overall I’m very happy with my Dubarry boots & I would recommend Outdoor Supply. Just be aware of the charge for import & delivery, and the drawbacks of buying from Europe.

Total Scam!

They take your money, keep it for weeks and then say they cant fulfil your order, with no explanation. Really clever, I guess they invest it or use it as collateral.

Good but room for improvement

Purchased three items from website, 2 days later receive an email saying two of them not actually in stock. Dealt with very politely and refunded quickly, so can't fault the customer service at all, but rather frustrating. The one item that was in stock took 2 weeks to arrive (9 days to dispatch, 4 to deliver) and was not very well packed (single wrap of tape round cardboard box).

Great product well priced

The product was competitively priced and well described.
Delivery was very quick.
The fact that taxes needed to be paid was clearly stated, the fact that a brokerage fee would be levied by UPS could have been included with the warning about UK taxes

Useless delivery by UPS

Happy with the ordering process and quality of bags ordered. Point lost due to use of UPS who seem to rival Evri for delivery uselessness. Email said delivery on Tuesday, then Wednesday before settling on Friday. As we were going away for the weekend I wanted to change this to Monday but app won’t let you. Told neighbour that a delivery was due so could he take it in. Delivery made but not to neighbour, instead parcel left outside behind a fence. Luckily my neighbour spotted it the next morning and took it in and it was only slightly damp but contents ok.

Very impressed with the service I…

Very impressed with the service I received. From order to delivery within a week and that was delivering to the UK. Simple and straightforward payment for UK Import Taxes to ensure a smooth delivery and I honestly cannot fault anything.
Products received are perfect and I was delighted that I saved considerably even with the tax and import duty.
Will definitely be ordering again, many thanks for the great service!
