Recently hired the Trouvaille Actif for a few nights in March to tour a small part of Yorkshire. Richard, Sonia and Jessica were very patient explaining everything to us 'novices' before we left. The van drove like a dream and was converted to a very high spec, and although snug came with everything and was very cosy with the heater on. We soon got into the swing of things and worked out how to set up / put away the bed and roof etc. Lovely family run company to deal with!

They're a proper family company who care about customers & service.
Hired the Trouville actif (short wheelbase Transit) with pop up top for a few days to try it out before we commit to buying. Came with all the essentials and we were talked through everything when we picked it up.
Richard was happy to take a call while we were away to explain something we'd forgotten.
4 stars as no one's perfect & there's always something that can be done that tiny bit better; I never believe 5 star reviews anyway :-)

Above and beyond
I rarely write reviews but this company are FULLY deserving of comment. Each and every part of the hire process from ordering to dropping the van off at the end of the hire period was flawless.
The whole team are super helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable about their campers. Further, the quality of the van was exceptional. If you are considering hire of one of their campers or looking to buy, I could not recommend a company and their camper vans more highly.

We hired a Campervan from Orange Campers test out the size and design, with a view to a future purchase. We visited our daughter in Manchester and toured the Peak District, staying on some great campsites. We could not fault the service received and the quality of the conversion. We just need to figure out whether we can afford it.

We hired a Trouvaille Classique pop-top campervan from Orange Campers over the 2022 Easter weekend and were really impressed with the service we received and the thoughtfulness of the design Trouvaille campervan. Orange is a family-run firm that builds most of its campervans to order, but also hires out its demonstrators from its factory in Rotherham – an ideal location from which to explore the Peak District - as we did along with our teenage daughter and the family dog.

Our Easter trip was very positive both in terms of our first time campervanning (we had always been tent campers previously) and with the Orange experience. In advance we were given recommendations on camp sites to book – essential for a holiday weekend. On collection the Trouvaille was wonderfully prepared with everything we could need already provided – we just needed to fill the ample wardrobe with our clothes and the cupboards with food (and maybe the odd drink). Jessica from Orange Campers provided a complete tour of ‘van’s facilities and functions and then off we went into the hills. The Trouvaille is only 5m in length so was ideal to manoeuvre around the country lanes and to park up at the heads of the dales for great walks. However, the real surprise is the space inside the ‘van – its Ducato base vehicle provided much more height and width than an equivalent VW.

We would thoroughly recommend hiring a campervan from Orange. We were so impressed we bought our own Trouvaille!

My wife and I hired a Trouvaille camper van from Orange with a view to seeing if we could downsize from a 7 mtr A class to a 5mtr camper.
The well thought out design and large RIB bed made our three day stay in York a very enjoyable experience, convincing us we should go for it.
Richard,Sonya and Jessica were welcoming, friendly and full of good advice. The vehicle drove well, it was presented in immaculate condition and the welcome bottle of red wine was very tasty (once on camp in York).
Thoroughly recommend a visit and hire from this great family run business.👍

Currently I have a smaller camper van so decided to hire the new Actif to see if it would give me more space for longer trips.
Anyone who has driven a Ford should find it familiar and it was easy to drive.
The Actif also had an optional reversing camera so no problems with parking.
Weather was fairly gloomy/wet but the interior of the Actif was light and cosy with the LPG heater and the pop-top roof coped with the wind and at times heavy rain.
The 90 litre fridge is almost twice the capacity of my current van fridge and this would allow me to store more food for longer trips.
The two position table allowed me to use it as an extended worktop, when preparing food, which I struggle with on my current van.
The blackout blinds worked well and I prefer these to the normal curtains fitted to most vans.

We had a very memorable break in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The Trouvaille, whilst spacious enough for a comfortable trip, was not too wide for some of the very narrow roads taken along the way! The campervan is well designed and was very well equipped with all that we needed and more.

We couldn’t have chosen a worst weekend, but the best campervan hire company. The weather before Easter was everything from snow and frost, heavy rain and strong winds to chilly sunshine, but in the Trouvaille camper we were as snug as a bug. The onboard heater kept us warm, even with the pop-top up. Sonya and Richard had provided every item we might possibly need to cook up a feast when locked away from the snow and there was plenty of floor space for our two dogs…much more that the equivalent VW. We were so impressed with the camper, attention to detail and Sonya and Richards service that we have ordered a Trouvaille of our own!

Ultimate comfort and convenience,well put together and obviously a lot of consideration put in for the end user
This had made me think if we should invest and buy a similar van from orange

We recently hired the pop top Trouvaille campervan for a swimming trip to the Lakes. The experience was fantastic from start to finish. Richard and Sonya were so helpful and accommodating during booking and took the time to make sure we knew exactly how to get the best out of the van's features. The van itself was so warm, cosy and comfortable to stay in and very straightforward to drive. We were so impressed, we are now buying one!!!!!!

So easy to deal with nothing was too much trouble - we hired the Hightop and it was fabulous-so much room and the bed was amazing .. oh so comfy wouldve definitely hired again but wont need to as we were so impressed with it we placed an order …!

What a fabulous business Richard and Sonya seem to have built. We recently hired the high-top campervan for 4 nights for a trip to Norfolk. We had first met Richard at the Harrogate campervan fair and were so impressed with the van. However, on spending quality time in it, our expectations were hugely exceeded. The van had so much space, and we were overwhelmed with the way the space had been used. The detail and finish was outstanding. You could tell that Richard and Sonya have lived the campervan life, as the range and thoughfulness of the features was so inspiring.
Richard and Sonya are both so helpful and are always willing to chat at length about their work. Richard even spent time showing us around the workshop, explaining the various procedures taking place.
I cannot recommend Orange Campers highly enough!
