WHEN NOBLE AND WADE LEFT HE COMPANY…

WHEN NOBLE AND WADE LEFT THE COMPANY DIED!.

What Noble and Wade did was create one of the most amazing mountainbike manufacturers in the world who won world championships.

They were innovative, fresh and open to new ideas, they brought in the cup winning 222 and then the 223/224 they designed the Clockwork and Alu-Elite and helped change the demand and direction of the industry to millions of people around the world...

Sadly one by one they got to the stage and age where they wanted a more laid back life and left Orange and thats where it all went south.

Roll on a few years and a 'ball' took over and somehow gutted the website so older bikes had no space anymore and systematically reducing customer service to the absolute minimal for instance I emailed them regarding an older bike some parts I needed and almost a month later "No reply", then there is one of the reviews on this actual page of a Youtuber who's Orange frame snapped in FOUR places on a medium sized jump in america, he contacted Orange and had diabolical customer service in fact they shut the door in the face of the rider so he created a Youtube video and its had almost TWO million views which would have cost Orange untold amounts of lost revenue (See YouTube type in - 1 Year Later - Frame Implosion).

Orange are only intrested now in flogging new bikes which are CLEARLY overpriced when you consider what Foes and Santa Cruz or Intense offer for the same price frame?

The chap running the show has worked there for many years but he seems to have turned the company's direction away from offering fantastic customer support like they once had when Noble and Wade ran the business, I honestly cant see from all the masses of negative feedback Orange surviving another couple of years, they just scraped by bankruptcy recently but when you see their 2024 Patriot originally priced at almost TEN GRAND you have to laugh, my guess is Orange has racks of them sat there...this is evidence how far 'derailed' the train has come off the tracks at Orange! The other thing worth pointing out is the "Shot in the dark" designs or should I say "Design flaws" look at the Patriot 2024 notice the shock mount on the swinging arm its right down, now i'm no scientist but thats going to take a LOT more stress lower down than back at the top, again more evidence that sadly the company it once were is a shadow of its former self...

NEVER AGAIN

Absolutely ridiculous🤦🏾‍♂️ To preface this with I have been riding orange frames for three years before the incident. I literally had an implosion coming off of a jump in a race. My frame broke and four pieces And broke my hand I’ve never seen a frame snap so easy… I contact the customer service team. They tell me they’ll send me out a frame. They were upset that I made a video about it. I told them well let’s work together to try to fix this problem to make sure it doesn’t happen again for future people they ignored me they went into bankruptcy. They came out of bankruptcy, I was expecting Fran. They ignore me and tell me that I’m not getting a frame and here we are I will never ride an orange frame again. Their customer service team and their whole company is about greed and selfishness. You can tell they were trying to claw their way out of bankruptcy, so they’re trying to penny pinch and ruin relationships that they’ve had with customers for years over a couple dollars and now they will lose even more money because it’s happening more often my video has garnered over 2 million views and it’s just sad A company that I’ve spent Time supporting and caring about could care less about me and other customers I will never ride in orange frame again

Orange bikes break!!

Orange bikes break!!! They have many conditions to make use of their warranty. Because of these many conditions, I interpret that they themselves do not stand behind the quality of their frames like other brands do. Fortunately, I have found a solution that may be helpful to others.
About a year ago, I bought a 2018 Alpine 6. The bike was used and in a good condition. It is a good bike for enduro and bike parks. It is not very sensitive and requires a very active riding style.
After using it a few months, I noticed a crack where the brake and shift cables go through. It is not a place where the bike takes a lot of impacts. In my opinion, this is 100% a design mistake, because they drilled holes in the frame to pass the cables through, which weakened the frame just to make it look better.
After contacting Orange, the only solution they offered me was a discount on their frames, which ended up being about the same as their outlet prices. Due to the high cost of buying a new frame, I decided to fix the problem by welding the affected areas.
I used the bike for a couple of months after welding, but unfortunately, the weld points opened up again. I decided to cover the holes where the cables pass through with an aluminum plate, which reinforced the whole area. It was a very good solution that has not failed until today.
Unfortunately, after a bike park ride, the back swingarm developed the same problem. The cable hole cracked. I solved it the same way as before, by covering the hole with an aluminum plate.
I've been using the bike for a few months now, I haven't held anything back. I've jumped big gaps and jumps, even a couple of big cases and I can say so far it has worked and I hope it continues to do so.
In conclusion, as a tip for anyone facing the same problem with Orange frames and their warranty, you can try this solution: reinforce the frame by covering the holes that, due to a bad design, ended up weakening the frame.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service, 2018 Stage 5 frame with very small hairline crack in the rear driveside dropout, sent to orange to review, they have replaced the swingarm and resprayed the whole frame with new decals and fresh bearings free of charge!
Frame arrived back this morning, its good as new, what absolutely amazing customer services.

Other bike companies should take note, this is how customer services should be! will continue being an Orange customer in the future, well done Orange and especially to Tom @ Orange!

Excellent British bicycle brand

Excellent British bicycle brand with good range of mountain bikes, full suspension bikes, electric e-bikes, kids bikes and road/gravel bikes. Factory are very hands on with aftersales and they have many dealers throughout UK. Factory will even re-paint older Orange frames in a range of available factory colours for a reasonable fee. Bicycles can be custom made frame only or choose from fully built models. Highly recommended.
