Avoid Ordering from Optimalprint

Avoid Ordering from Optimalprint: My Experience

I paid extra for express shipping on my order on March 7 because Optimalprint guaranteed delivery within 3–4 days (March 10–11). I specifically needed the order for a birthday on March 13, and the promised delivery date was the sole reason I made the purchase.

On March 10, after paying $27 for express shipping on a $20 order, Optimalprint informed me that my “express” delivery would now arrive between March 13 and 20. That is not express shipping — it’s a 10 day delay and a complete failure to deliver the service I paid for. The product was for a birthday event on the 13th.

Please note that delivery times shown at checkout are unreliable, and paying extra does not guarantee timely delivery. Optimalprint failed to provide the service I paid for, so I requested a full refund. Unfortunately, their customer service is limited to a chat bot that ends the conversation as soon as I ask for a refund.

If you need your order by a specific date, do not trust their delivery promises—avoid ordering from Optimalprint altogether.

I had a great experience with…

I had a great experience with Optimalprint. The ordering process was very easy and user-friendly, and there were plenty of design options to choose from. The quality of the final product was excellent, and everything arrived exactly as expected. The print quality and paper were really nice, and the delivery was also timely.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with my purchase and the smooth shopping experience. I would definitely recommend Optimalprint to anyone looking for high-quality personalized prints and gifts.

Blames everything a computer glitch and runs.

After a poor review Optimalprint contacted me and then the double talk began. After several emails back and forth the company told me everything was a computer glitch and that I was out of luck. After several years of being a customer, it apparently doesn't matter to them.

Outstanding photo reproduction on Tshirts

The 3 orders of the same photo arrived within days. We chose 4 different colours of Premium T-shirts and it was interesting to see how the same image differs depending on the colour. The photo image was very detailed - truly outstanding. 1 of the 13 Tshirts had the right side of the image partially cut off, but not enough to make a difference.

I placed 3 separate orders to take advantage of various discounts. My only negative feedback is regarding freight, which is charged per item. I wound up subscribing to the annual shipping charge, but unfortunately one order processed before I paid for annual shipping.

Thank you to all the staff involved in producing this excellent product!

The printing is impeccable

The printing is impeccable, however, I did think I was ordering cards not postcards. This was a bit disappointing ! And the delivery time was wonderful!

Absolutely impressed

Absolutely impressed! The brushed metal print looks stunning — sharp image clarity with a beautiful, modern metallic effect. The craftsmanship is top-tier, and the turnaround time was quicker than expected. Everything was securely packaged and arrived without a scratch. Will definitely order again!

Bad customer service

I've ordered from them for years. I have had good experiences but their switch over to AI customer service killed this for me. I made an order that never arrived, took me almost 4 months to get a refund, getting disconnected and taking 10-15 minutes each time to talk to a human...which I still questions as they are such called AI answers. The AI even said my order was delivered when it wasn't which was acknowledged later by human customer service.

Fit and finish might need improvement, but turnaround time was great.

The turn around time was great. I ordered an aluminum print and I’m not quite sure how to rate it. It was interesting. The ordering process wasn’t the clearest. When uploading the image there was a dotted line slightly inset from the edge of the image. I was unable to find out what it was for when looking through the resources. The closest I got was for printing cards. It stated something to the effect that they were trim lines, but if the print was borderless they didn’t seem to apply. Since mine was an aluminum print and not a card it didn’t seem like it applied to me. Still, I adjusted my image just in case. I’m glad I did because my image was trimmed and important components barely stayed on the image.
I don’t know what an aluminum print is supposed to be like, but it was a little weird. I think it printed fine, but the finish made it difficult to see the image. The sheen was such that I couldn’t find an angle to hold it so I could see the image without a distracting glare, kinda like it was covered with glitter..
I’m assuming there was a cutting process involved cause especially from the back it looked like they used a dull knife. It was rough and some of the backing was ripped. The front seemed fine except if you looked closely the edges were slightly rough. The print texture was interesting. Maybe that’s the way it’s printed, but it didn’t feel the way I expected.
