The Don't Bother Us Insurance Company
I called to get a quote. They advised to use the website to obtain a quote. I completed the form on the website and submitted it. An agent called back in less than one minute. He told me they don't write policies in my zip code. I assume it is because we had 2 bad hail storms in 2023 and 1 in 2024. No questions. No discussion.

Openly increased $2,000 in two years…
Openly increased $2,000 in two years with zero payouts in claims. They said my house value increased that much. They made that assumption with no adjustor coming out, and no one in my neighborhood has sold their home/s in the last two years to even compare my current value to today's market. I've been with Openly for two years; they have increased 1,000 more dollars per year. At this rate, I can't even afford insurance in another year or two. I'd never recommend this company to anyone.

My experience has been so terrible my house flooded may 26 of 2025. Curtis the insurance agent have been giving me the run around because they don’t want to replace my floors in my house. So my home has been damaged for months having my kids and grandkids in an unsafe environment I have been begging them to fix my home. Now I’m repairing my house myself out of my pocket. I will never ever refer this company to anyone. Thanks

Open quote time frame too short now
Closing took place on a Friday (I happened to be out of the office), Producer saved everything for me to submit and issue on the following Monday. The closing date had changed from May something to June something. I went in to issue the policy and could not change the effective date to 6/27/2025. I couldn't even make it eff 6/30/2025, the date I was trying to submit. I had to choose 7/1/2025 as the effective date to get the policy submitted. When I called to see why, I was told that Openly dropped it's time for keeping quotes open from 90 days to 45 days. This doesn't seem to be enough time for possible closing date changes that sometimes happen. If you had changed it to 60 days there would have been no issue. You may want to rethink your 45 days... doesn't seem to be long enough.
