Can npt reach this company ordered and even though processinf says 1-3 days it doesnt update as shipped

2 weeks and I have not received any updates on my order. I’ve tried reaching out in many ways and get no answer, replies and no way to contact them by phone. It only took 30 seconds to take my payment. Feels like a scam so far!

Fast shipping, good product and it was super easy to set up

Initially satisfied with the product - it’s a clever concept and functions effectively.

However, after 14 months of use, it is beginning to deteriorate. The white fabric that secures the goal to the rebound net is disintegrating and will soon be unusable. So, a £200 product has lasted just over a year. Despite being only weeks outside the guarantee period, Open Goaal initially offered me just 25% off the price of a new net. Only 10% better than simply subscribing to their mailing list. Quite disappointing customer service. Insulting really.

They don’t inform you that you need to budget £60 annually for a new net and its installation. And what about the environmental impact of sending all these nets to landfill?

Overall, not very pleased. I wish the white fabric was more durable. I don’t want to pay more money for a replacement net just weeks after the warranty period for the same thing to happen to that.

Told i could exchnage a net that was the wrong sixe that was just delivered. After having to send pictures of the net, then was told to send back to them at a few addressses they would send me the new net when the shipping of mine was in place. Net returned to OpenGoal, no new net sent to me. Now told there is a $10.00 fee as my new net is the larger size. OK FINE. I was sent a full page of instructions on how to order net and some spare parts that i also wanted. AFTER trying 10-20 times realized the whole process does not work. (not to mention the process is so 1960's dated) I sent email to same rep to mention this and my complete dissatisfaction. I recvd a brief (auto) email Oh sorry you feel ^%$^%#%^ let us know what we can do by email as we cannot call you (i asked for a customer service person to call me as the written instructions, CLEARLY do not work). I, the customer, finally suggested (so far) tey credit me for the other net ASAP and i would just order another net as this whole process is crazy, frustrating and clearly not anything near consumer friendly. Hoping the spare parts could be ordered as well in separate order, but won't hold my breathe. Still waiting... NO NET... NOT GOOD... NO credit. NOT GOOD. Involved in lots of Soccer and will share this horrible experience with colleagues. Email response from Open Goal is quick, however, not unique, not helpful and Very AI.

Really complicated to put up, red pegs that hold the net are not suitable for ground which have roots or hidden bricks in the ground and so the net moves with each kick. I contacted customer service asking for stronger pegs maybe metal ones like you use on the side to be told no we dont do them. I can see this lasting long shame as I spent over £230 inc delivery for it.

Assembly instructions are poorly written. I don’t expect it to last more than one summer due to the flimsiness and shoddy manufacturing. If you live someplace with winter it won’t make it back up. Once assembled you can’t cut your lawn around the nets and you cannot easily move it, so you better live in a meadow. Poor overseas manufacturing, janky parts and lack of sturdiness, and lack of clear assembly instructions? There are better products to be bought. You’ll get what you pay for otherwise.

Given the very mixed reviews of this product, I thought it would be useful to share my experiences with it after having owned the Standard Open Goal for one month.

Ordering and Delivery
There was a problem with discount codes working (the website emails a code, but the codes do not work for UK customers). This was fixed, but not without several slow messages to support. After it was resolved, delivery was quick.

Assembly
The instructions are good, but you must follow them to the letter. It says to allow an 1.5hrs - that is correct. It does take a while, but if you follow everything correctly, then the structure is super strong and sturdy. You will need two people.

Play / Use
It is excellent. I have three teenage boys who kick the ball very hard. So far, the net is performing very well and exactly as the video shows.

Overall
Excellent quality, strong structure, and recommended. The customer experience/ordering process lost the review one star, as it took several days for support to fix the website codes.

Ordered the standard goal and a set of targets at over £200. Courier turned up whist I was out, signed for the package himself and left it on the doorstep. When I got home, the targets had been posted through the letterbox but goal was not there.
A replacement was supposed to be sent out, and a second set of targets did arrive a few days later, but still no sign of the goal. I was asked to be patient, but the courier they use have no means to call them up to find out what is going on.
A week on from this and I still haven't got a goal!

I placed my order on Sept 27th and there has been no update on it since them. Its been over 2 weeks now. I got 1 response from CS that they will investigate and get back and it has been over 4 days on that as well. Absolutely the worse way to run a legitimate business

Really straight forward to build. 9 year old Son loves it. No more running round to the back field to collect his balls.

Not sure why the reviews say hard to build, instructions explain in well. Can see why some people might find it confusing as all languages are together. Maybe change manual so each language has its own chapter.

Looks good , very hard to get up. Then after year it’s falls apart as it’s not stable, you must have to have rock hard grass
The more your kids use it the worse it gets. Big waste of money. Don’t buy.

Do not be fooled by this company’s cynical, hard advertising! Once you search for goal posts, you’ll be bombarded with marketing on all of your social media by this outfit.
The product is flawed: it is an abysmal attempt to reinvent the wheel using smoke and mirrors.
The instructions are woeful.
The construction is time consuming, tiresome and only possible if you happen to have the right type of ground. Be prepared to conduct a geological survey before buying because you will not get your money back if you can’t get your garden to accommodate the cheap bits of metal that are supposed to offer a permanent base to the net.
Seriously….forget this. Go old school. Get normal goals, lose your ball, buy another ball, it’ll be cheaper in the long run.
Attempts to reach a satisfactory solution to the problem presented by the failure of this product were met with what I consider to be a confrontational, verging on personal, but certainly oppositional stance. Needless to say, the consumer is the loser here!
