I accidentally broke my reading glasses from OnlineOptionsUK.com so ordered another pair exactly the same. Took just over a week to arrive. Glasses & lenses fine, great quality. Dropped one star as I ordered another pair of reading glasses from another company & they arrived 3 days earlier.
Good glasses - better communication needed
The glasses were good and well priced. The overall experience was a little concerning though. The website would be more encouraging if it explained that payment would be taken via a payment link (as this came as a bit of a shock). Also, no timescale for delivery was obvious. They took about 3 weeks which was fine except that I was initially expecting them sooner
Excellent in all respects.
I’ve had two pairs of glasses reglazed, including a standard varifocal pair. On both occasions I have been most impressed with the results; the price, the quality and the speed of delivery.
Refund only paid after PayPal resolution claim
Ordered some Raybans. After several emails chasing delivery Online Opticians eventually said the frames were broken during adding the lenses. The last frames in the colour I had chosen. I decided against another colour and asked for cancellation of order and a refund. I might have given the benefit of the doubt about the reason for not being able to supply the glasses.
My main grief is that despite several emails chasing a refund (you only get an answer machine if you call) the only way I got my money back was through PayPal resolution centre. Several messages saying the 'accounts' would look into it over many weeks but it wasn't refunded.
I would never use this company again. Customer service poor, but not returning refund money is plain wrong. Look at other 1 star reviews before you decide. There are plenty of others who have had the same

I ordered lenses with scratch resistant coating and anti-glare coating at extra cost but received plain lenses.
They have ignored my emails so far.
Improved communication required…
There are some awful reviews on google that I didn’t discover until after paying! This prompted me to confirm a delivery date by email. No response was alarming. However the order must have been progressing as I telephoned them and soon received an email advising a delivery date.

No Order Received, It is being a month now!
Ordered simple reading glasses about a month ago and still have not received them. Ordered them to cancel the order but still no confirmation. This is the WORST online optician business. Not sure why even people bother ordering with them. AVOID at all costs.
I made the purchase online
I made the purchase online, I had found the glasses I wanted in a store I got the code for them and searched on here and they came up more than half the price, it was very simple to complete the prescription part and all the add ons were great. I added one options which had 4 different coatings this meant I had to wait around 2 weeks for my glasses. I called customer services and left a message within the same day I had an email of acknowledgement, a few days later I had an email to say the where out for delivery. Now delivered and they are great.
Chase after chase
Placed an order well over 2 weeks ago. I have had to chase not only an order confirmation after paying, but multiple times for an update on when the company feels like dispatching my glasses. On two occasions they have told me they will be dispatched the following or current day, only for me having to chase them again because they had not provided any update.
I would avoid this company in the future.

Online Opticians reglazed my glasses. The service was quick and professional. On Line lenses selection is clear and comprehensive. After selective the type of lenses matching my new prescription I was advised and confirmed by email that the lenses are correct for my selection. Friendly service ordering was so easy. Very quick work had my glasses returned within a few days.

Do not trust them with your frames to reglaze!
I sent some frames to be reglazed. This process was not exactly quick in itself. Then they sent me back the wrong glasses. It was hard to see how this had happened given that they ask for an extensive description when you send them in.
I immediately emailed to tell them, on 17th Feb and pretty soon got an email response which made me hopeful it would all be resolved. How ever as time has gone on communication has got slower to non-existant. No reply at all since 3rd March.
They have sent me an envelope to return the wrong frames but I have not done so as they have not given me a satisfactory response about where mine are.
I have suggested they admit they are lost and provided an option for them to give me some free frames of my choice, but still no response. I have now asked for my money back and compensation for the lost frames.
There is no response by phone and no complaints process.
It seems like when things go wrong with this company they go very wrong and customer service is pretty much non-existant, with reviews on Trustpilot getting a quicker response!
Avoid at all costs, huge waste of time
Thought I would give this company a go, as they had cheap frames. I assumed that the bad reviews were from a minority of customers. Placed order a few weeks ago, with no confirmation or acknowledgement of the order. I was also unable to pay directly on the website, and had to use PayPal - it stated that a payment link would be sent to the email which was also sent two days later.
Additionally, customer service is non-existent. I called and emailed for updates, which did not get through to anyone. Overall, do not buy from here, it's not worth your time as they act like the order doesn't even exist
They replied on here saying the order was cancelled, even though no refund was sent (I had to request manually from PayPal) and they didn’t even reply to my original email asking for cancellation. Pathetic

Ignored attempts to ammend prescription
My optition set the reading glass side of my prescription at 2.5 which initially I sent with the prescriotion details for my order. However I quickly realised this was too strong for me and sent an email the next day asking them to change that to 1.5 for both lenses. A few days later the prepaid envelope arrived with a form to fill on which I clearly wrote in large bold writing to change the order to 1.5
Despite these two attempts at ammending the order they still sent thee 2.5 lenses rendering the glasses useless.
No communication from them at all!

Excellent service & the best online opticians I have found. Very reliable & I was even able to make changes to my order when I forgot to ask for tinted lenses. Also with other services it is down to you to arrange postage. This is all covered & the updates to the order progress are very helpful.

Poor Experience
Aka Thomas Eyewear.
Early in the process I cancelled my order. This was acknowledged by the company. A polite email request for my refund was ignored and, as others have noted, the telephone number is not answered. Like others I was forced to initiate a PayPal dispute to get my money back.
