After the first hour tuition with ‘Chemistry Steve’ my daughter fell back in love with chemistry. She said he was like having 5 hours of learning in school compacted into one fun, focused hour. He let her take the lead on areas that she was struggling with.More than a year with Steve was a great investment in our daughters future. Steve has been wonderful! My daughter began lessons with him part way through Y12 as she was struggling with some aspects of the A level chemistry course. She has improved from a grade C to a strong A in her Y13 mocks with the confidence to walk into her three A level exams this summer. Steve is very professional and organised and is a great teacher, going at the pace she required and covering the topics she found more difficult. We would both highly recommend him.

Honestly thought I was a lost cause as I was averaging at a D two months before my exams. A couple of lessons with Steve and my confidence in the subject increased drastically. I can’t say I had the same experience with my previous chemistry tutor. Steve’s explanations on topics was incredible amongst was his patience with me. I would definitely recommend him as he allowed me to achieve what none of my teachers though I could achieve.

When I had my first lesson with Steven in March 2021, I was working at a grade 4 in GCSE Chemistry. Feeling as though my future was set in stone, I was down and unmotivated in Chemistry. However one lesson with Steven and I felt inspired to work harder and give it my best shot. His delivery, his passion, his resourcefulness and knowledge is just incredible. I had him once a week for an hour and a half up until my exam and came out of GCSE Chemistry with a grade 8. I would absolutely recommend Steven to anyone. He can work wonders for any student.

I had chemistry lessons once a week with Steven in year 12 and 13. Steven helped me prepare for my October AS level Chemistry and Chemistry A level. Before tutoring, I was getting ‘B’s and ‘C’s in chemistry and after, I ended up achieving A in AS level chemistry and an A* in A level.
Through Steven’s lessons, I learnt to love chemistry and ended up really enjoying it. Steven would explain ideas clearly and would walk me through an example question then he would give me a similar question to do by myself. I found this method to be much more useful than making notes as it allowed me to properly listen and understand what we were talking about. Steven is very knowledgeable in chemistry and so I could ask any question that was not necessarily part of the A level but would help me understand something that was required. Steven would also sometimes add facts or stories relevant to what we were discussing and this would not only make the lesson more interesting but also would help me remember the topic or idea more easily. I would often leave our lesson excited to share something new I learnt with my parents.
I would highly recommend Steven and I am very grateful for all his help!

Steve was fantastic! He massively helped me to become more confident in my abilities over the course of my chemistry A level. He was kind, patient and very organised. Each lesson he explained things thoroughly with the use of a wide range of resources which were tailored to my needs. I could not recommend him enough!

He is patient, he is clear, he is helpful. After each lesson you receive all of the resources you went through with him and extra questions to test your understanding on the topic.
Having a tutor like Steve was the best investment in our child's education. Mine went from a B to an A* in 8 months. Without Steve it would have never happened.
