I had done my return with h n r block originally, but something went wrong on their end, so I lodged my return myself, using one click.
I got back more than I expected, very happy. Will be doing the same next financial year, with one click.

Absolutely shocking
Beware. Absolutely shocking violation of privacy acts. Their technical integration with the ATO gives them the right to be listed as your tax agent the moment you enter your tax file number; with this integration they are able to see all information held by the government including sensitive identity information; this gives them exclusive rights to act as your tax agent so should you go elsewhere, the ATO will reject the new accountant. This is something they can do without your consent and it is difficult to undo. I was merely checking out their website and entered my tax file number as part of the setup process - there was no other way to do it and I never thought that merely sharing my TFN would enable them to go into the ATO and be listed as my tax agent and then be privy to all of my private information. I never paid oneclicklife nor hired them! After they didn't respond to my first email queries I found another agent.... who then was rejected by the ATO as my agent because Oneclicklife had (again, without my consent) listed themselves as my tax agent with the ATO, which meant no other agent could loge until I sorted it out. Again, I had neither paid nor hired Oneclicklife! I had merely entered my tax file number! INVASION OF PRIVACY. I am shocked that their technical integrations with the ATO could do that without my consent.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.
Unfortunately, to be able to check out tax information we need to verify our clients' identity through our Multi-Factor Verification process. This includes but is not limited to the verification of ID before One Click Life can provide clients' tax information. Although the other accountant may not have the technical integration with the ATO via SBR2, they (like all accountants) should have access to Online Services for Agents, where they can log in and add clients manually.
Due to the limitation of the ATO systems there can only be one Agent assigned. There is no 'view only' relationship that would allow the transfer of tax information for you to check out, without establishing the Agent relationship. If you would like to check out the system again you are able to skip the steps where you provided your ID, TFN and bank details to open an account, though you won't have the tax information available.
There was also a box directly under the TFN field that was ticked when you entered your TFN that very clearly states: "I authorise One Click Life to act on my behalf with the ATO until otherwise advised and I accept the Terms & Conditions"
I hope this provides further clarity and encourage you to come back and check out the system again, just please don't tick the box that consents us to act as your agent and skip the section where you provide your TFN, ID etc. I will also have marketing look into whether there are any other steps we can take so others don't inadvertently provide there ID, TFN etc. in the future.
As we have already communicated to you via email, the ATO takes up to 72 hours to remove us as your agent. We have also communicated to you that it hasn't been 72 hours yet, and will be actioned by tomorrow.

Last minute I decided to do my tax return and searched online. Found Oneclicklife.
Instructions were easy to follow. For once I didn’t have to ask my wife for assistance 😂 and she was surprised I didn’t lol.
Only took 10 days, could have been earlier if I confirmed earlier.
