Delivery weeks late and the laser doesn't work

I ordered a 130w laser cutter from Omtech on the 6th of Jan for 7-11 days uk delivery. Following many emails with Omtech customer services I received the unit on the 15th Feb. The best delivery arrangments I received were it will be coming either Thursday or Friday of this week I felt this was very poor for a purchase costing over 4.5k and needing to be unloaded with a forklift.
I was hoping that the situation would improve once I had received my laser cutter but unfortunately, this was not the case the first time I operated the laser there was a loud electrical arcing noise and an electrical burning smell. upon inspection, the high-voltage wire between the power supply and the laser tube was not terminated and was arcing onto the metal case of the laser cutter. I am feeling lucky that I didn't receive a shock from this major fault. I have emailed Omtech and hopefully awaiting a suitable remedy.
Omtech customer services seem very slow and you normally have to wait for the next day to receive a reply so dealing with them can be slow and laborious.

I looked at a lot of lasers sure am satisfied with my mf 1224 ,use it in my leather shop had a few issues but teck support was great could not ask for anything good co. To do business with would recommend them .

Shipping was faster than expected

Shipping was faster than expected. Had the inline fan show up not working, worked with tech support and after all the trying different things they had a replacement sent. Over all things are good.

Bad responce…

Started Charge for a forklift offload (never happened) pallet truck, they did reimburse me, working for two days then made noise on the x-axis and started to judder bad got in tech with tech support told me what to do (no avail) sent an email they answered the following day aske for photos and video which was sent, different tech replied asked me what was wrong and told me what to do (no avail) now it's the forth time each time you do something you have to wait a day for a reply even if you reply when you get the email, this has been going on for a week ONLY USED THE LASER FOR 30 min in all.

There's a lot to learn

There's a lot to learn. You can still do colors even though it's not Mopa. It's quick enough for what I need to do. Take the time to practice and learn. Good starter fiber at decent price.

The information on your site and…

The information on your site and information given by your sales rep were great. The placement of order was very simple. I was concerned about the free Lightburn having to be manually purchased but by clicking the Order Now/Buy Now button automatically applied the discounted price and Lightburn into the purchase order. This was one of the easiest purchases I made yet.

I want a meet they didn’answer and after 2 weeks i recive a message , with a day with a video meet and they didn’t call me i would buy a big laser machine C02 but with this service i prefer go another brand

Purchased the AF2028-80watt Laser

Purchased the AF2028-80watt Laser, my first real laser machine, delivery was a lot earlier than I expected, some screwheads were broken on the box, no easy lifting off so unpacking was the only challenge. Unit looks nice (not junk) I did have to tweak the laser alignment, I've been running the machine through a few tests, it came with Light Burn (promo), added a OMTech Chiller and very pleased so far, no regrets.

Ordered the OMTech 80w 20x28 laser, shipping was extremely fast. Had laser up and running within a week , needed a dedicated breaker line from an electrician but so far everything has been smooth and laser works great

I purchased the OMTech K40+

I purchased the OMTech K40+. An excellent machine. Came ready for LightBurn, Air Assist, digital display, the works. I purchased it on Black Friday so the deal was excellent. Not to mention customer support, excellent, fast, very helpful. 5 Stars for me.

Purchased from the Black Friday sale

Purchased from the Black Friday sale. I’m coming to OMTech as a non OMTech (experienced) diode tinker/hobbyist, that has turned some ideas into some products. OMTech kept coming up in the research and the more I looked into them the more positive testimonials I found. I am now the happy owner of an AF60WCO2. The machine is absolutely fabulous!! Cutting is my main focus. It arrived pretty quick, was well packaged and is very sturdy. Nothing was missing, broken or needed any post shipping attention. Minimal assembly and setup was needed. The first run was the materials test from the website (LightBurn). No adjustments were needed, the machine was completely dialed in. I am definitely a reference-able customer :). Haven’t needed support, so cannot comment on that - but the machine is great, the chiller works well and I’m a happy camper with OMTech Lasers!
