They cancelled my flight and didn't even tell me until the day after my scheduled flight!!! luckily I checked and emailed them!

They hen had the audacity to say i wasn't entitled to a refund...Joke!! THEY CANCELLED THE FLIGHT.

after numerous emails, calls to a pointless customer service line, apparently there's refund department doesnt have a phone line!! shock! They eventually agreed they owed me my money...So again we go around and around, it takes time etc, all the other bullshit excuses.

I have been waiting since October and still nothing back!!! Its Criminal and fraudulent to withhold my money that I'm owed.

Avoid this airline, i will definitely not even vist Oman again because of this.
Seeking legal help to get my money.

Dishonest and incompetent staff

We had to book a last minute flight on Oman Air following an original flight canceled on another airlines due to bad weather.

We booked the flight on Oman Air website but the status kept being pending even the payment was approved. We had then to book the same flight through another platform (kiwi.com).

We requested a refund for the duplicate booking (EQIIWB) which was created solely because the Oman Air website failed to confirm the first transaction in a timely manner.

System Latency: The first booking remained in "Pending" status on their official website for over an hour without a confirmation email. In a high-pressure travel emergency, this led us to believe the transaction had failed, forcing the purchase of the second ticket.

Single Passenger / Same Day: It is physically impossible for the passenger, to utilize two separate itineraries at the same time. Most international carriers, including Oman Air, have policies to refund duplicate bookings regardless of the fare class (Super Saver) when a passenger is double-booked in error.

Airport Verification: Upon check-in in Bahrain, Oman Air ground staff explicitly identified the double booking in their system. This confirms that the airline was aware that two seats were being held for one passenger.

Yet, Omar Air refuses to refund
Worst customer service, they take days to reply with generic answers.

Do not use Omar Air!

We have flown Business Class London to Muscat a number of times including last week. Never had a bad experience and will always choose them when possible. They were using the Plaza Loung at Heathrow but now you have a choice of Gulf or Qatar, this is a very welcome improvement. Check in staff extremely helpful and the cabin crew are great. Very efficient drinks and food service and the food is excellent. The lounge at Muscat is huge and a nice place to be.

This was by far the 72+ hour delay, lost baggage for 8 days, and no response from Oman Air worst airline…

This was by far the worst airline experience I have ever had.

Our journey from Germany to India (Hannover–Munich–Muscat–Kochi), booked directly via Oman Air for 6 December, turned into a series of serious failures.

The Munich–Muscat flight was delayed and then cancelled due to Oman Air, forcing us to stay overnight in Munich. While a hotel was provided, no transport was arranged, so we had to pay taxi costs ourselves. We were rebooked only the next day.

After arriving in Muscat, there were no onward flights available for two full days. We finally reached Kochi on 9 December at 02:15 AM, more than 72 hours later than originally scheduled.

When we arrived, our checked baggage did not. A baggage report was filed immediately, but despite sending multiple emails, we received no response at all from Oman Air. Our luggage was delivered only after 8 days, during which we had to buy essential items ourselves.

Because the journey originated in Germany, it falls under EU Regulation EC 261/2004. We submitted a formal complaint with all documents and receipts on 27 December. To this day, we have received no reply, no acknowledgement, and no resolution.

Unfortunately, our return journey in January was also with Oman Air and involved further delays, ticketing issues after a schedule change, and completely unhelpful customer service despite calling multiple times overnight.

This was not one isolated incident but repeated operational failures combined with a total lack of communication and accountability.

I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before booking with Oman Air, especially if something goes wrong.

Shocking customer service

I paid for a specific seat during online check-in, but my boarding pass showed a different one. When I tried to fix this, Oman Air took my money but never updated the seat.

Customer service was a mess. I was told seats can’t be changed after check-in and to request a refund, then passed between multiple agents all trying to shift responsibility. One told me to contact the booking agent (despite paying Oman Air directly), another said I couldn’t get a refund because the flight had already happened — even though the seat I paid for was never provided.

To top it off, the complaint form on their website didn’t even work. Poor systems, no ownership, and zero accountability. I won’t be flying with Oman Air again.

Refund Process Lacked Escalation and Fair Review

I am deeply disappointed with how my refund request has been handled.
After reaching out multiple times and clearly explaining my humanitarian situation, I continue to receive the same repeated responses, without any real effort to understand my circumstances or escalate my case to higher management. This makes me feel unheard and dismissed.
Being offered only 35% refund is extremely unfair and disheartening, especially considering that I requested the refund well in advance and shared genuine personal reasons. I was hoping for empathy and consideration, but instead, my situation appears to have been treated as a routine case with no flexibility or compassion.
What is most disappointing is not just the refund amount, but the lack of sincere engagement, understanding, and escalation. I truly expected better support and human consideration from a reputable airline.
This experience has left me feeling frustrated, disappointed, and let down.

Shocking delivery of business class levels. Poor!

I had business class flight from Cairo , overnight transit in Muscat on 16/12/25. I sent a feedback message to Oman air on their complaint form . The food was awful and I had no choices available. In addition, no amenity bag was given although this was a flight of more than 4.5 hours, the onboard staff said they had no amenity bags left!
Up till now 2/02/26 I have had no reply from Oman air. This is quite sad as I flew business class with them about five years ago and they were excellent. Today they are the opposite, shockingly poor service and lack of essentials required for business class flyers.

Business Class “Dine Anytime” — Meal Forgotten, No Response from Oman Air

We flew Business Class on Oman Air WY101 (MCT–LHR) on January 30, and the in-flight dining service was a complete failure.

After takeoff, when meal orders were taken, we clearly requested to have our meals served later before landing and placed a full order for both passengers. The cabin attendant acknowledged this and took notes.

However, by one hour before landing, no meal had been served. When we asked, we were told that our meals had not been prepared at all. We were then offered only items that could be served immediately, which ended up being appetizers only. No main course, no dessert, and no time to properly enjoy the food.

This completely ruined the onboard dining experience. We chose Oman Air partly because it promotes the “Dine Anytime” concept, so this level of failure in Business Class is unacceptable.

We also sent this feedback directly to Oman Air by email. As expected, we received no response at all.

This experience seriously damaged our impression of Oman Air. We regret choosing this flight and will not fly with Oman Air again, nor recommend it to others.

Worst food and drinks service

Lucky we didn't have issues with lost bags or cancellation but the food is the worst I have had and all the soft drinks are from bottles not cans.

I had to ask for water then only you get it.

Learn from your neighbors like Emirates or Quater air.

I'm never flying with them and would not recommend them to anyone.

One of the worst customer service…

One of the worst customer service experiences I have had with an airline.

One of my flights was cancelled by the airline, and my itinerary was changed unilaterally, leaving me with a **15-minute connection**, which is clearly impossible in any realistic airport situation.

Despite having my contact details, **the airline never called me**. I contacted customer service **twice by email**, and each time I was redirected to their telephone hotline. This hotline disconnects calls after several minutes of waiting and is **charged at around €3 per minute**, without any assistance being provided.

I am now forced to pay simply to try to fix a problem entirely created by the airline. Requests for written communication and reasonable rebooking options have so far been ignored.

This situation is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of customer care and responsibility. I strongly advise travelers to be cautious if their plans depend on reliable support in case of disruption.

Worst customer service experience I’ve…

Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had - extremely disappointing

I am extremely disappointed with Oman Air’s customer service. I have been trying to resolve a simple issue since October, and to this day it remains unresolved.

In October, I contacted Oman Air to change my last name due to marriage. I was explicitly informed by the Oman Air team in writing that changing the last name would not be an issue, provided I submit the required documents. I did exactly that.

After submitting all the information requested (as stated in Oman Air’s own email), I was then told to contact the call center. When I did, I was suddenly informed that changing the name is not possible, and that I must cancel the ticket and purchase a new one. However, I was clearly told during this call that no cancellation fees would apply due to the nature of the situation (legal name change, same passenger).

Of course, when the cancellation was processed, I was charged a cancellation fee, because Oman Air classified it as a “voluntary cancellation”.
No - this was not voluntary. I was first clearly told that a name change was possible. When it later turned out it was not, I was told that I had to cancel. There was no choice involved.

To make matters worse, I cannot travel anyway, as my last name has legally changed on all official documents. What exactly was I supposed to do? Fly with invalid documents?

Am I really the only person who has ever gotten married and needed to change their name on a booking? I would expect an airline like Oman Air to have such a basic and common situation properly handled.

On top of all this, communication is unbelievably poor. If you want any response from the team, you need to wait weeks - and I am not exaggerating. It takes at least 2–3 weeks to get any reply, even when sending multiple follow-up emails. There is only one email address to contact for cancellations, and once they stop responding, you are completely stuck.

As proof: my last response from Oman Air was on January 11. I replied immediately and followed up with five additional emails. To this day - no response at all.

This experience has been frustrating, exhausting, and completely unacceptable. I expected much better from an international airline. Sadly, this has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

Don't take the risk!

I will never fly Oman air again. I've now had major issues with two flights. Despite booking a flexi ticket I was still not allowed to move my flight when I had visa issues. I arrived at the airport for my new flight (which I paid for again!) they had overbooked and I had to wait 21hrs at the airport for the next flight. When you call customer service the attitude and unwillingness to help is appalling.
They send you copious emails trying to get you to upgrade or buy seats next to you even when the flight is full. They take your money and you can't cancel or get your refund. Customer service don't answer emails, and the call center staff are rude and offer no help at all. Luggage allowance is only 20k and queue is bad at every Oman check in desk. Pay extra and fly with a better airline is my strong advice!

Good Morning,

Good Morning,
i have emailed Oman air
Oman airports
Oman Police
but no reply's.
i flew from Dubai to Muscat on the 17th of December on WY 610 then onwards to Bangkok on WY 817.
When i was in Oman lounge yes i am a silver member was gold.
that one of my luggage needs inspecting, i went down to behind the scenes to see my luggage. It was a package that i had cleared with Oman air in Dubai to take to Bangkok. it was a Ninja slushy machine. they said i cannot travel with this it needs to go via air freight as it had a compressor.
i had a solution as my friend lives and works in Muscat 10 min drive from the airport.
the airport representative spoke to him and arranged for him to pick it up the next morning from lost and found on floor 0.
he arrived the next morning was kept waiting for 3 & a half hours only to be told its not here any more. So clearly stolen.
i wrote to all of the airline emails to complain and no one has replied so shows Oman air and Oman authorities are rubbish the do not care.
this has left me very annoyed i travel with Oman air 5 to six times per year.
so i do not trust Oman or the airline and have no issues with never traveling there again or using another carrier from now on.
if they had replied and said they were looking into it, but keeping quiet and hoping the issue will go away is very frustrating.
So fellow travelers be warned this may happen to you fly with a different carrier.
