The editing process was atrocious! There were so many mistakes that I spent 5 hours re-writing the edits! Basic issues such as: Inconsistent correction of the word judgement/judgment to the American spelling.
American spelling & grammar check clearly by AI for a British culture book, with huge inconsistencies.
Sentences corrected to make no sense.
Tense inconsistency within sentences & paragraphs.
Incorrect spelling of bullet proof for the context.
Correction of idioms which now make no sense.
Correction of ‘Hounds of the Baskervilles’. Removing ‘the’. This is a well-known classic by Arthur Conan Doyle.
Changing of 18th century words because presumably the person/AI does not recognise them.
Wrong author name used – not my pen name.
Definite articles added, changing the semantics.
singular possession & plural possession apostrophes muddled & incorrect.
Simplification of sentences that were written for style and effect and are grammatically correct.
I was sent a contract initially with the wrong title - one which was not mine. I had to chase them for the edited manuscript after 2 months and then they sent an obviously rushed, incorrect, unchecked manuscript within a week!

I've been waiting around 2 years for Olympia to EVEN publish my book; which they say they still want to publish..... I've decided the best way to deal with them is to starve them of revenue by blocking all ads you see with them online for 'We're accepting submissions.'
These ads are posted by Google so if you click on 'Stop seeing this ad' and follow this up with giving your reasons why, eventually Google will stop hosting them.
They are despicable in every way and need putting out of business which, if I could afford to do so, I'd make sure would happen.
They're a subsidiary of Hashwell Publishing if my memory serves ne right. A little bit of sleuthing by you will uncover their vipers nest in London, England.
The support staff at OIympia including Saffron, Leila and Shwetlana have been very helpful and active in the production and publicity of my book A little Book about something Big - Character.

My experience with Olympia Publishers has been nothing short of exceptional.
From the very beginning, the entire process has been absolutely painless, which, as an author, is something I truly value. Publishing can often feel overwhelming, but this team has created an environment that is supportive, transparent, and incredibly efficient.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to James Houghton, Commissioning Editor, for believing in my work and agreeing to publish my book. That initial vote of confidence meant everything.
A special thank you to Amy Cross for her patience and guidance throughout the editorial stages and cover design. Her attention to detail and steady support made a significant difference in bringing my vision to life.
I also want to acknowledge Robert in accounts, who worked with me tirelessly and with understanding. His professionalism and willingness to accommodate made a challenging area feel manageable.
The icing on the cake has been working with Leila and Shwetlana in publicity. They have answered every question with transparency and professionalism, making this final stage just as smooth and reassuring as the rest of the journey.
From beginning to final product, this team has made me feel both comfortable and seen. Their response time is unmatched, their communication is clear, and they keep you informed every step of the way with full transparency.
They have truly made this journey enjoyable, and I am already looking forward to doing it again.
I can confidently say I will be returning to Olympia Publishers with every publication I write.
Highly recommended.

See my earlier reviews, all of which said 'avoid'.
They were quick to take my money and make promised and once they got my money they have been completely useless about everything else. They did nothing effective to promote the book, they don't respond to complaints, and every time a royalty has fallen due they do nothing until it is severely overdue and it is chased. Then there are a series of delaying tactics. They have also made a series of errors in the royalty returns - always in their favour. They never keep their promises and are unreliable on everything.
I still can't decide if they are just the most inefficient, useless publisher in the world, or a deliberate scam.
I can only assume the positive reviews on here are fakes.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience working with my publishing company from start to finish. The entire process felt smooth, professional, and genuinely supportive in a way that made bringing my book to life even more exciting.
A special shoutout to Saffron, who was incredible to work with. She was consistently helpful, responsive, and timely with every step of the process. Any questions I had were answered quickly, and she made what could have been an overwhelming experience feel completely manageable.
I also want to recognize my illustrator, who did an amazing job. The artwork exceeded my expectations and truly brought the story to life in a way that elevated the entire project. You can tell there was real care and talent behind the work.
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The team was professional, creative, and supportive throughout, and I’d absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to publish their work.

The editing process took far too long. On a few occasions, you tried to change horses in midstream that frustrated me. Anyway, the cooperation was harmonious.

They will make all sorts of promises, they will take your money, and they WILL publish your book. But they will not professionally edit it, and they will do the absolute minimum to promote and market it. In actual fact YOU will do all the work, and they will give you nothing. My advice to you is this: SELF PUBLISH. Use your money to secure professional editing from any of the many legitimate editors you can find online, people with genuine testimonials. As for cover creation, ebook and paperback publushing, you can pay for help with these things too. Better still, learn to do your own. I did. I took my books away from olympia, gave them new covers and self-published. I'm in control now, and I'm very happy.
Below, Olympia respond. They say proofreading is something that happens throughout. It doesn't. It happens ONCE. At the start. After that you are on your own. Their claims regarding editing and marketing are nothing but spin. Self-publish. The big brand publishing industry is skewed for the very few. Even if you pay for professional services for cover art, editing etc, you will still save money compared to these and similar pay to publish outfits, and you'll receive the royalties due month to month. The self-publishing industry is friendly and booming. For every title published by a traditional, there are around 6 published by their authors. You can do it too. Good luck ❤️

Working with Olympia publishers for my book Faith over Cancer has been a brilliant experience! Every question I had was answered within a good time frame. I loved the creativity of the cover design! I am happy with the edit changes made. I am happy with the distribution of my book over numerous online book retailers. They have made publishing my book an enjoyable and easy experience. I highly recommend them and I look forward to submitting my next novel for publication in the future! 😃✨🩷

The whole process has been quick and professional. It’s been brilliant to see my book printed and available is so many online retailers, far more than I was expecting. There has already been a few restocks done and it was only released in December.
The quality of the printed book is great.
I have found the team to be professional and responsive.
I have only given 4 stars as it would be great if the team could be contacted by phone/ teams to be able to have more in depth discussions about marketing opportunities and restocking etc.

Olympia have been great to work with - thorough, amenable and very helpful. I chose them over others from whom I had offers because they seemed to be good on the publicity side and so far, they have not disappointed.

I have published 3 books through them and I'll admit my experience has gotten better over the years. My Production Coordinator for my first book was very slow to answer my emails, that if she even answered them at all. However, the response time for the Production Coordinators for my other two books is definitely an improvement.

Great publishing firm to work with. They provided me with detailed updates as processes related to my work were occurring, keeping me up to date and informed. The staff I interacted with were professional and helpful, as well as being open and transparent with timelines and the work to be done. Would gladly work with them again in the future.

Everyone I dealt with was professional and the book was published in the timeframe that was indicated. It was long but I'm happy that it will be printed very soon.

Dear reader:
I pause during a busy morning to share the positive impact that Olympia Publishers has had upon my life. After I completed my first novel without a contract, Olympia Publishers took the time to evaluate my writing and offered to me an opportunity to be published. Olympia provided editorial suggestions, expertly finalized the production of the manuscript, brainstormed cover art and cover narrative, and partnered with me to develop and follow through on an effective marketing plan. I will always hold Olympia Publishers, and the stalwart individuals who made up my support team, close to my heart.

Overall I have had a very good experience with olympia publishers,
The whole process has taken quite a while but that's mainly my issue because I chose to do all my own illustrations as well which took a lot of time to do, but Olympia have been very helpful and supportive throughout the whole process. I am now at the very end of my journey with my publishing date of January 8th, but so far it's been nothing but a positive experience.
