Two Okura pans were delivered in two separated boxes in about two weeks. After opening the box, a friend commented that they looked like cheap stainless steel pans. The pans were described as titanium, but a knife test left a clear scratch on the surface, suggesting the coating is not titanium or a hard vapour-deposited layer.
During cooking, eggs stuck to the pan even with careful preheating and oiling, making cooking difficult. Steak also stuck strongly every time it was flipped, indicating poor non-stick performance and behaviour consistent with stainless steel rather than a true non-stick or titanium-coated surface.

It doesn’t deserve a one star It is absolutely crap as soon as it goes on the heat it turns brown . I am devastated I got sucked into this company they should hang there heads for lying and promoting the product as it does nothing like they say. It burns and a absolute nightmare to clean. Do not waste you money on this crap.

Very disappointed. I expected a quality Titanium non stick pan. Cheap and everything sticks. Complete waste of money. I've been scammed.

Does the word “thrilling “apply to cookware? It does now, with us! This cookware is all it is hyped up to be. Aside from being simply beautiful to look at, it provides a cooking experience that is unlike any other cookware I have used. And I have used some of the best for many years. It’s a work of art, visually and manually. Truly impressive.

I feel such an idiot. The pans are not Japanese; they're made in China. I very much doubt they have any titanium in them whatsoever. And the worst part is that they are absolutely not non-stick! A huge scam. We even had to assemble them, as they arrived in bits. A £500 mistake. Frankly, I'd rather ingest teflon.

This isn't Japanese product. Japanese dont make mediocre products like this. Product ship from China and asked returned to China if damaged. Screw fallen from pot same day received. Company asked returning cost pay by customers. Stay Away!!

Very customer unfriendly company. I sent 4 emails to customer support no response. The telephone numbers found by Google search do not work. It smells like scam. Probably at the end of the day "a" very low quality product maybe will be shipped maybe not. Typical Chinese scam. Stay away from this company.

No pieces come in boxes, just one big courier box, housing everything, though wrapped up ok. Worst part, I have to assemble all the lids, all the handles to the wok and pans myself.
The most terrifying:
The set I've ordered. Received
1. 26 cm pan. 30 cm pan
2. 30 cm wok. 26 cm wok
3. 20 cm high pan. 28 cm high pan
4. 26 cm two handled sauteed pan
Received same.
Item 1 &3 above is too heavy for me to use with a single handle, and this is not acceptable.
A 26 cm wok is useless. Too small to stir fry any meaningful dish.
The parcel did arrive on time, about ten days. All the lids fit, though not snuggly.
I wonder how Okura is going to rectify their dispatch mistakes, and provide customer satisfaction.

Okura flat bottom pan is not completely flat but tilted/pivoted at one angle. Not ideal for induction though they claim to be compatible. Heat conduction will not be even as such. I can swivel the pan 360 degrees on the induction top.
Have written to them about a week ago requesting return/refund but no response from them at all.
Very disappointed !

Even one star is generous, completely deceptive marketing and they know customers won’t pay the return shipping to China! I was completely shocked at how long it took to receive my order. Not only that it came in pieces… the pan I ordered had no handle attached to it, and I had to screw it on with bolts. To my surprise my items were made in china and smelled of cheap toxic chemicals. Stay far away from this company. Completely shady business practices.

I only receive half of my order. I can't get any kind of response after contacting them. I consider this a fraudulent company.

This is my 2nd review. I followed their "break in" process of curing the pan and fried some eggs on the pan and they slid off and they told me once the pan was cured, I wouldn't need to do it anymore. Next day, the eggs stuck.
I emailed them for an address to return the pans for a refund. It took them some time to get back to me and then tried to scam me by saying since the return address is out of the US the packaging and return of the pans would be costly and if I would settle for 10% refund and keep the pans. I told them send me the address. I want a full refund. Still waiting for the return.
In closing, they advertise a lot but respond slowly. This pan doesn't work. I don't want it

This is fake I’m sorry to say and not titanium and nor had made and not Japanese do not purchase from Okura if you want a genuine hand made titanium pan

I was so disappointment with my titanium pan I purchased. It does not have a flat bottom making the heat unable to distribute evening. When I reported this fault, there response instructed me to gentle hammer the bottom to make it flat myself. Not impressed at all with this product.

DO NOT BUY THESE PANS. This is a scam company sending out cheap product with a restrictive return policy.

Love the pans! We just started cooking on them and are still trying to get used to using less oil and lower heat. Have noticed they are quite easy to clean too, which is a major bonus! It did take a while for our order to arrive, but as soon as it did we threw out our old pans immediately.

This company is abusing the name of the respected hotel brand from Japan. They are not affiliated in any way.

Okura Cookware is a well marketed scam. It's drop shipping from China and the quality is awful. Do not buy.

Reply from Okuracookware
I do not believe this is a titanium pan. I followed all instructions before use. Pancake stuck to the pan first time and it was very hard to clean it off. This is just a cheap pan sold as an expensive pan. Very dissappointed.

Reply from Okuracookware
Claims the pans are 100% titanium, but they finally admitted that they are a composite with an aluminium core and steel base. Very misleading advertising - these composite pans can be purchased for about £45 less than the sale price on their website. So far they have offered me 20%, 30% and 45% partial refund if I keep the pan, but even with the 45% that would be overpaying for what is not a pure titanium pan.
