Spoke to Charlotte today in cus service…

Spoke to Charlotte today in cus service and oustanding help. I have received consistent excellent customer service from OE being able to send email which gets responded to. I can call and get to speak with someone in less than 1 hour (which is what I experience with my current provider). So helpful thank you.

Love this Company

The customer service is wonderful. The rates are great! I was seaching for an electric company that checked all the boxes. Enviromental stewardship, friendly service, and most important, great rates that don't penalize me for using less than 1000 Kw.

Hopeful that patience now will pay off in the future for US customers

I've liked being with this company for 1yr so far. That said, there are many stumbling blocks when dealing with website and app. I believe these will be worked out in time, but it IS frustrating in the meantime. Customer service over the phone (in the US) is stellar! Very very friendly and helpful. The email, I'm less sure about. Don't know if I was dealing with the UK by mistake, but I had to keep poking for a response, got passed around to different reps, and after weeks never got a resolution. A 5-minute phone call cleared it all up. The disconnect between UK and US is a bit strange--definitely leads to confusion as evidenced in many reviews on various platforms. The complaints about limited app and website functionality (in US) are accurate. I am patiently waiting for these to get more robust because I like the business model and really want this company to flourish here

I emailed a question to the address given since it was after office hours. I received a quick and helpful answer from Brian. I then asked another question, which was also answered quickly. I'm looking forward to working with this company.

Great customer service with Brian!

Brian was extremely responsive to an issue with ERCOT and solving the problem with signing up for service with Octopus. Unlike other energy supply companies I have dealt with, there was almost no wait to talk to him or I could leave a message and got a quick call back. I also was very impressed that I could talk to him each time I had further information, instead of having to explain from the start with a new person with each follow up call. Best customer service I have dealt with in a long time!

New customer, just signed up today with Octopus Energy. Marie Van Den Broecke was my rep and she could not have been any more helpful, professional, and very pleasant. I look forward to this experience.

Octopus Energy App…

Octopus has just released a new version of their app. My impression is that they have not bothered to do any testing. It is so full bugs that it is impossible to use .

They have to cheek to praise their customers for finding the bugs that Octopus should have found in its own testing. They are now on the third release of this version app and it is still a pile of horse manure. Major functionality is missing such as Meter Readings

Exemplary customer service.

Having recently had reason to contact their Customer Service team, and hearing how they were taking on failed energy companies etc., I thought I'd been in for a long wait and slow response. I've had exactly the opposite experience. After a few days, Emily replied and has efficiently acted upon my query and continues to do so. She engaged Alina to help with my tariff switch which has all gone through smoothly and with no hiccups. Having sent an email to Greg, Claire picked this up and I would say all of these employees have provided an excellent service. At a time when energy companies are under a lot of pressure, I never expected such good service and would have no hesitation in recommending Octopus to others. This review is genuine, in case anyone thinks I've been rewarded for saying this.

Amazing service from Simon Team H2

I have been a customer of Octopus Energy for a year receiving excellent service. Yesterday I received an email about my fixed tariff coming to an end and offering a new tariff only £20 more a month. Considering what is going on at the moment with the energy crisis this was a great offer. As working at Heathrow at the time decided to renew today as on day off. Unfortunately the offer had changed on my app. I phoned Octopus Energy and got through straight away to Simon from Team H2 who honoured that tariff with only an increase of £20 a month!!! I am so impressed and shows that customer loyalty does go along way.

Excellent service and support

Excellent service and support, nothing to much trouble.
Answer phones quickly and efficiently and customer support are product trained. App is excellent as is their communication to customers

Misleading and useless. AVOID!

The worst energy company I’ve ever known. I’ve been with them a few years know and I’ve had nothing but problems. They’re constantly adding new charges, some times adding hundreds or even thousands to my bill overnight. Every time I speak to someone they reassure me everything has now been dealt with but only few weeks later I’m faced with more problems which take days or weeks to resolve, rinse and repeat. They seem to have no idea what they are doing and I absolutely hate having to deal with them. Avoid at all costs!
