Terrible support

Never able to connect the app to the Thorton Performance Chip. Support is via email only and is delayed, likely due to being located out of the country. I don't recommend either product.

Fantastic app

Fantastic app! After experiencing issues with my vehicle for some time I have decided to buy myself a OBD reader and I found the OBD auto doctor app on the App Store.
As I needed access to the full feature of the app I decided to pay the monthly subscription and I’m so glade I did as the diagnostic really helped me to pinpoint down the problem and find a solution.
My vehicle was showing the P0235 error related to the turbo circuit, however this was happening without the engine on, as soon I turned the key in the ignition the error popped up and wouldn’t clear, after checking the sensors resistance and voltage I found out that the 3 wires going to the map sensor were broken. On the OBD auto doctor app I could see that the boost pressure was showing a constant value and the value wasn’t changing when I was pressing the throttle which helped a lot to pinpoint the cause of the problem. All in all a very good app if you know what you’re looking at which can definitely help to find the cause of the issues. Based on my experience I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this app to others.

The software is a scam!

In 27th November of 2021 i bought a license to use the software, first of all the 2021 version didn't even work, i had to do a lot of solo troubleshooting to get it working. After that i forgot about it because my father bought a scan tool for me. Today my ABS light came on so i waned to check what's wrong, i left my Scan tool in my garage so i installed the OBD AutoDoctor tool just to be greeted with some subscription plans. I looked for the option to put in my license key but I never found it. I payed for a lifetime license and they never fulfilled the agreement. The last mail i found about it was from them offering a code for 25% off for my first month of subscription. BUT I JUST WANT MY LIFETIME LICENSE BACK!

I wrote and e mail to the company for more info on this topic i will keep this review updated.

DON’T PAY

Offer a paid for version promising extra features on the website however this isn’t true. You get the exact same features on the free version, the company can’t provide any information of what vehicles the so called paid for version works on.

This company is a con and scam, don’t waste your money.

Paid for non working app

I read that I should be able to use this app for free. I installed it and was then prompted to pay $4.99. I paid it thinking it was required. The app would not connect to my unit. Even after I paid. I then wrote to Google to request a refund. They said it had to come from the vendor. The vend or said it had to come from Google. And, furthermore, said I didn't need to pay for it to work. I explained it didn't work before not after I paid. Niether Google but OBD Auto Doctor will refund my money. Beware of them asking for payment expecting it to work.

OBD auto doctor software

I purchased OBDAutoDoctor's software, and I wasn't super happy with it; it's really good software, works on mac, windows, linux. However it's interface wasn't as customizeable as I wanted... So I asked for a refund. They quickly refunded all the money! I was pretty happy with customer service, their rep was awesome to work with!
I would recommend them if you don't really mind how the interface looks!
