We provided Oakshire Environmental with a clear brief to explore issues relating to the impact of a potential quarry on Holme Pit SSSI south of Nottingham.
They produced a very clear document confirming the brief and then a very clear and detailed report to a very tight timecale. It provided a very professional and focussed response on all the issues.

This company is an absolute joke and here is why and this is all fully documented if anyone cares to see.
I contracted them to carry out a stage 2 contaminated land survey as it was a planning condition.
Joe Turner duly turned up on site where I had an excavator as arranged. He instructed the driver to excavate holes as indicated on their survey drawing. He then used a hand auger to extract samples from the trial pits, so far so good.
We then received the report which was forwarded to the planners. The report was rejected as inadequate and Oakshire had to return to do another report which they invoiced me for again to be paid up front, so again I paid their second invoice and I duly turned up on site yet again with an excavator which I drove myself.
You can imagine my surprise when all we did was to excavate the same trial pits as on the previous survey and this time deeper decent trial pits.
It was blatantly obvious that the initial survey was carried out incorrectly because this time the planners accepted and passed the condition.
I have contacted them by email requesting my second invoice payment etc to be repaid to me which would be the right and fair thing to do considering their inadequate initial report which was certainly no fault of mine as I totally relied on their professional expertise to do this right first time around.
I have received no answer or response to my repayment request whatsoever!!
I therefore now plan to instruct my solicitors to take legal action and have a meeting planned next week to do just that.
Oakshire Environmental has truly disappointed me in every single way.
My advice to anyone considering using their services is to completely avoid these clowns.
As stated initially full documentation and planners response to their first report is completely available.

The Testing Lab PLC

We had a special one where we needed prior advice. Passed the facts on and told them them what we were testing for. A couple of telephone conversations and a pack of test bottles and jars turned up via post with full instructions. Easy to undertake and a prepaid label to send the samples back. Excellent report and service. Well recommended.
