Highly Recommend
I have loved my time with the New York Institute of Photography! I learned how to use my camera, as well as different techniques to improve my photos. My photography has improved tremendously since taking the professional photography course.
I’ve really enjoyed studying at NYIP…
I’ve really enjoyed studying at NYIP and my skills with photography has really improved. For the moment I’m just taking photographs to friends and practicing different areas of photography because I don’t really know yet what kind of photography I want to do. Really recommend this course online, good material, helpful videos, nice and professional instructors, I’ve received good motivation from them! Just thankful for this course!
Before, during and after at NYIP
Before I enrolled at NYIP, I have already some backgrounds with other genres of photography. The one that was most discussed in Professional Photography Course was portraiture, wedding and lighting. Other genres were discussed in a pretty basic ways such as macro, nature and landscape photography. For those students who don't have any background, I would say it's more challenging. As this is a general course, the percentage of the discussion should be fairly equal to benefit all students most especially those beginners in photography. I finished my course within 5 months. I studied/did my projects in the morning and concentrate with my job in the afternoon till midnight. NYIP online course was perfect for a busy individual like me. During breaks at work, I was still doing my reading. I prefer printing my lessons and puts notes on it. Anyhow, after graduation, that's the real challenge. To which genre should I go? Well, you will find it as you go along with your passion. Happy shooting!
Great contents

Will be great to have seminars/ sessions across various states (location can be selected based on no. of students in a given region). This will give students to ask for questions or clarification face to face.
Will be great if NYIP can release an App for iOS and Android versions. It becomes easier to follow material on-the-go.
Thank you

Great Professional
Great Professional. Very good course. I’m very happy with this online experience.
This program is overpriced and…
This program is overpriced and outdated. I am disappointed I spent this kind of money on this program. Also, you lose access to the materials after a certain amount of time which I find problematic at such a high price.
From the first lesson I received from…
From the first lesson I received from NYIP I WAS VERY IMPRESSED. The clarity of what the the course would expect from me and the simplicity of each lesson was great. I went from someone that new very little a DSLR to someone who can, now feels very comfortable with my new Canon 5 mark IV.

I like the course overall
New York Institute of Photography course
I like the course overall. It has given me some good tips on how to improve myself as a professional Photographer.
I like the Tutor I had.
There has been one time, when I was in disagreement with the content in the material. I pointed it out, but I was told: No, the data is correct. I went to a photoshop that I have a good connection with and they stated: No, this is not correct. It was a disappointment that my viewpoint was not taken into consideration.
I have also asked for help as English is a foreign language for me, but I was referred to Google, which normally makes texts even more confusing.
My course time ended and after a while I paid another course fee. I was promised a new "NYIP ID card", but I did not get any yet.
I do not find where I ended off. Maybe with some more computer programming it would be easier to see what I did and where I should continue.
Right now I am lost and don't know where to restart.
