C24 Kiln dried wood delivered soaking wet.
I ordered a load of C24 150 x 50 as I needed high grade, kiln dried wood to enable me to construct with precision.
Most of the wood that I got delivered was absolutely saturated as it had just come out of the pressure treatment.
Even the delivery driver noted the wood was very wet as it was very heavy.
Was is the point of me ordering high grade kiln dried wood if you send out soaking wet wood?
This makes it difficult to work with and is then prone to shrinking and twisting as it dries out.
When I ordered the wood I even requested the wood to be dry.
I would of sent it all back but this would of meant delays that would put the project behind schedule.
I will not be using NWTT again and would advise anyone who wants dry wood to do the same.

Thank you for your message. We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the condition of the timber on delivery.
To clarify, the timber is kiln dried before treatment, but the pressure treatment process does reintroduce moisture into the wood. This means it can arrive wetter and heavier than expected, particularly if it has been treated recently. We appreciate that this can make the timber less convenient to work with immediately and may affect stability while it dries.
We understand your frustration, especially as you had specifically requested dry timber for precision work. While the timber supplied was C24 graded as ordered, we do appreciate that the moisture content on delivery did not meet your expectations.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this caused to your project and for the disappointment with our service.

poor customer service, with poor quality items.
ordered Levingtons manure 8th feb, told delivery 13th Feb. After many calls chasing delivery, finally got delivered 4th march - just 4 bags Levington and 4 very much cheaper bags of poor quality manure which I refused. They stated they only had 4 bags, despite it still being 'in stock' on the website and I told them I would have collected 4 bags rather than pay £9 delivery for 4 bags. Told I would get a refund and they would look at delivery charge. had to chase a refund for over 3 weeks with numerous calls and emails, each promising to call me back but didnt. Only when I stated I would take legal action did they actually provide refund but did not refund delivery charges, or for the inconveniece of having to chase with numerous calls and hassle over a 7 week period. Refund was not sent on date specified date so again had to chase this, and the final call call Jimmy sarcastaically said 'I told you I'd phone you back didnt I', then promptly slammed phone down. Terrible customer service and no explanation why it took over 3 weeks for refund. Have used NWTT for several years but wont buy again and I won't recommend.

To clarify, we did supply the full quantity of your order. This included 4 bags of Levington manure and 4 bags of an alternative manure product, which we believe to be of comparable quality. This was offered so we could try to fulfil your order as quickly as possible during a period of supplier stock difficulties.
We made every effort to complete your order within the expected timeframe, however we appreciate that this did not meet your expectations. From our previous conversations, our understanding was that you were happy to wait for additional Levington stock to arrive, which contributed to the delay.
We are especially sorry that the refund process took longer than it should have and that you felt you had to repeatedly chase this. We understand how frustrating that must have been, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.
As a family-owned business, we take all complaints very seriously, and it’s genuinely disappointing to hear that you feel unable to shop with us again. We truly value your past support and are very sorry that this experience has led to this outcome.
Your feedback has been noted and will be reviewed internally so we can improve our service going forward.

Delivery schedule and timing was exactly as asked for and the delivery guys were helpful. Good price. Only gripe was that one of the timber posts was in pretty poor condition - as I didn't use it for 2-3 weeks after delivery I didn't complain but would recommend check everything at the time of delivery.

Once again, I have to sing the praises of this marvellous company. I purchase timber once or twice a year, delivered, and the website is so easy to use, ordering materials trouble free, payment swift, delivery date selection is simple and a delight to use. From ordering to a changed delivery date the help and friendliness of the staff is superb. The fence panels are superior to the ones I am replacing in solidity and structure, I would definitely recommend NWTT.
