Nuheara lives up to its word...

We were looking forward to trying the IQbuds2 Max but unfortunately the design was not appropriate for my husband's ears. We asked Nuheara for a return/refund and they understood our problem and refunded the complete charge (less the FedEx brokerage, a small amount) with no hassles whatsoever, and in a very timely manner. They provided excellent customer support for our problem. Thank-you, and good luck, Nuheara.

Nuheara support badly lacking

My IQbuds arrived faulty and would not turn on. Despite immediately raising a ticket seeking help debugging or replacing the faulty buds I've heard next to nothing back from the company in over a month!
I would have had no issue if problems were promptly addressed by the support team, but this is ridiculous...

Terrific customer service

I was very excited, but also suffering from a triumph of hope over experience, when my Nuheara buds arrived promptly after I ordered them online. I had convinced myself that, after losing my expensive hearing aids for the last time, these buds would be the ideal replacement.
Alas, my hearing loss is such that they are simply unable to amplify sound to the level I can actually hear it. But the design, marketing and customer service of this Australian Company is superb. My refund arrived promptly, and I hope Nuheara continues to develop and refine their buds which are a challenge to the short life and huge expense of classic hearing aids.

Amazing product and I love my IQ buds max 2 from Nuheara.

I bought Nuheara IQbuds in 2019 but was disappointed and returned them for a hassle free refund.
I saw the upgraded IQ max 2 and bought them in 2021.
They are fantastic with the electronic products I use and the sound quality is amazing. They do not help my hearing as much as I had hoped but recently I have used them more to assist my hearing with some noticeable improvements (according to my wife!)
I also have the IQstream TV which has enhanced my hearing of the “quiet conversation” which most films seem to have. No probem with the connection or setup to my Sony Android TV. I also use them with my Sony Experia Phone.
As an aside, I also use them at live concerts where the phone app controls can be used to reduce the intense sound levels and protect my hearing.
I don’t relate to the poor reviews on here.

Simple Horrible

Got my IQbuds 2 MAX and could not get them to pair. period! Tried every forum post, chat with other users. Nothing. Just try to call customer support... try to even find a number for them! These were an option because regular hearing aids are 4-5-6k and I don't have that.
My solution: Send them back, get money back & go back to saying "excuse me, I didn't catch that"

Poor quality didn’t last 15 months

I purchased my IQBuds2 15 months ago and they are faulty and not working. For the expensive price tag I would expect them to last longer than this. They were my lifeline so I treated them very well! I contacted the customer care and they just said they are out or warrantee! I’m now going to use the Apple pro as my ear buds have lasted for over 5 years and work perfectly.

Very bizarre - it's like reading about a different company.

Over the last 4 years, I've purchased 3 sets of Nuheara buds (firstly one set of IQbuds BOOST for my mum and then more recently 2 pairs of the IQbuds2 MAX for both her and dad).

Both are over 85 and have mild hearing issues - especially with lower frequencies and in particular have difficulties when watching TV.

I've also purchased 2 x IQ Stream units to connect them both to the one TV (simultaneously), so they can then adjust their volumes individually.

Their older model TV was an initial BIG hurdle as I just couldn't get the TWO separate IQ Streams to work as they should - and I'm quite technically minded. Personally I had fabulous support from Nuheara, firstly by email and then on a couple of scheduled phone calls to help with trouble-shooting the more complicated set up. The support (and then the engineering) team came up with a couple of possible solutions, and one of them is still successfully being used today.

We even had an issue with the original BOOST model, with one of the buds having battery issues.... a few months AFTER their warranty expired. I reached out to the company and asked if they can do something. To my surprise, Nuheara Support replaced them with another set.

Obviously everyone has a different experience. But personally my parents and their trusty tech support person (me!) have only had positive experiences with the Nuheara team in Perth - and I can't speak more highly of the difference the products have made to the ongoing quality of their lives since 2019.

Unreliable Products Let You Down

I really would like to give this company a better review but their products whilst life changing, are unreliable and I'm sick of having to keep getting in touch and having replacements sent. I'm on pair 4 now, the first set I had went wrong 2 months after the guarantee ran out, started whistling uncontrollably, even in the case. I also dropped one and it smashed, which was frustrating as there is really no way to secure them in your ears. At anytime one can fall out and lucky for me most of the time that was onto carpet or chairs. But it was kind of an inevitable thing that it would fall out onto concrete.

So I bit the bullet and bought the Max, kind of against my better judgement because how the previous ones had failed. The Max are definitely better but my first ones failed within months. Same story, uncontrollable whistling. Then the other one developed this odd popping sound, so unusable. Had them replaced after a fraught back and forth with the company which took far too long when it was abundantly clear they were not working as intended. So I was without something I'd come to rely on for several weeks. Delivery itself can take over a week once replacements are finalised.

So within months yet again the replacement pair died, same whistling problem, which developed into this crazy screaming noise. 10 days of back and forth with the company, trying to explain it's the same old-same old but had to go through a painful and pointless trouble shooting too and fro. I've been using the things for years, I know when they are working and when they are not.

So here we are, just about out of guarantee, if they go wrong again I'm stuffed and hundreds of pounds out of pocket. Other issues are that on the max the rubber tips can come off easily and get left, often stuck in your ear. I've spent 20 minutes trying to fish one out. To use them as hearing aids, which we know they are not, but we know that they are, the battery situation is pretty poor. You may stretch 7 hours if you're lucky, then of course a period of not benefitting from them whilst they charge for a few hours. A battery back up or even a boost charge would at least mean you dont get caught short when they crap out. You get a battery low warning, and if you're lucky, enough time to just locate your charging box before they die. Finally, I bought the IQ stream box, which is a great idea and the lack of delay is good, but 70% of the time it doesn't connect. No rhyme or reason. Keeps saying move closer to the box but the thing is next to me on the chair and worked fine yesterday. So I have a pair of wired headphones plugged in when they refuse to connect, which kind of defeats the purpose of another few hundred splashed out on Nuheara products. Another great idea that doesnt work reliably enough.

So, the blurb is kind of sketchy, they do do great things over and above regular aids and the noise cancelling, sound quality and some app options are good. However, if the products don't last, there is no reason to buy again and get rinsed, it's a false economy. I have hearing aids 12 years old still going strong, these current ones are 6 months tops. Even my cheap pound shop buds for travelling are still knocking on 5 years later. Customer service is fine, problems have been resolved but they won't be interested next month when that runs out should these current ones die.

No Understanding of Customer Care or Quality...

I have had my IQ Buds2 Max for 1.5 years and the microphone has died. I contacted customer support and they said the warranty is only 1 year. These are expensive buds and to have them die after 1.5 years and not have the company repair or replace is crap. I have several other buds and they have all lasted more than 1.5 years. Crappy company, crappy design

Money back guarantee is a joke

Money back guarantee is a joke, waiting a month so far for a refund. DHL tracking shows it was delivered to them a month ago but the refund is still no where to be seen.

Product itself is not worth the hype or money, performed no better than others at half the cost, so refined after 20 minutes of use.

They use third party logistics companies rather than their own so you are at the mercy of them and Nuheara tell you they are waiting for confirmation of the goods arriving from the warehouse team, no matter what DHL tracking says. I would avoid and buy another brand on Amazon where you know the terms and will have little issue returning, these people are a joke, will soon have to put in a dispute with credit card or go legal, unacceptable return process, I would hate to experience warranty repairs etc.

Is this another company that lure people using scam tactics?

Worst company ever. Their test is unreliable, probably only to lure people into buying their stuff. Interesting that I just came back the same day from a whole battery of my hearing tests, where my hearing is in pretty good shape. Audiogram within 0-5 decibels, Speech recognition almost perfect. Yet somehow in the same day in scope of a few hours my hearing
diametrically becomes worse and(conveniently for them) will benefit from their product. Don't waste your time with the company that is using such shading tactics.

It would appear you are not an IQbuds2 MAX customer and that you completed our free online hear-in-noise check. That check is no substitute for an audiogram or for the NAL-NL2 prescription procedure from The National Acoustic Laboratories (NAL) used for fitting wide dynamic range hearing aids and that is built into our IQbuds2 MAX.

refuned at last

I have now had money back but it was a nightmare trying to get straight answer.

I was unable to keep the ear buds in for long as they hurt my ears also there was to much feedback on them.
I started the returns procedure only to find out there is no retun address to post them back. It now feels like i am about to ge fleeced out of £299.00. So i would advice people not to part with your money till they provide a better returns policy.
I have now been kept waitng no refund and not answering emails total sham.

Hi there Jon boy - we have a no questions asked, 30-day money-back guarantee. To initiate the returns process go to: https://www.nuheara.com/returns/. If you email our team at care@nuheara.com they'd be more than happy to help you with the return and refund process. Once that happens we refund you, generally within 7 days. This process is required to prevent return fraud and is standard practice across the industry.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I received my IQBuds2Max 11/2020, (after a long delay because of COVID19 which was understandable) The first pair I received had a software issue (left bud did not work). Customer service took care of me and sent me another pair no problem. My new buds worked fine with my iPhone11pro. Fast forward, I decided to upgrade my iPhone to the iPhone13pro this year (12/01/2021) tried to connect my IQBuds2Max without any success, now mind you, my IQBuds2Max still work as listening device, but will not connect to my new iphone13 pro or the App, so I reached out to customer care through email to see what's going on. Customer care sends me an email of troubleshooting ideas on what to do, The final idea he suggested was totally letting the IQBuds2Max discharge over night, deleting the App, and restarting my iPhone13 pro. I did all of that to now find out, all of that rendered my left IQBud useless! It does not work at all now (fully charged). I reached out again to be told the warranty expired, and there's nothing that they can do, even after their troubleshooting disabled one of my IQBuds, which worked before the troubleshooting! Its disheartening that I paid a lot of money for this device that I only had for 1 year and 1 month to only find out customer care refused to take care of me over a software issue, and even more, having been told to try something they suggested, crippled one of my IQBuds!!
THIS IS VERY POOR CUSTOMER CARE.

Happy IQbuds MAX user for 1.5 years+

I have used IQbuds MAX for about a year and a half now. I don't have much measurable hearing loss, but these buds are my "go to" for Zoom & other video calls when working. Unlike many other Bluetooth earbuds, they can pair directly with my PC.

I also use them a lot when I run to listen to music. In any environments, the ability to toggle on and off the active noise cancellation is fantastic.

Lastly, any earbuds boasting "hear through" functionality or "transparency mode" are behind the curve compared to Nuheara. Their earbuds have featured the "blended hearing" functionality as long as anyone (way longer than Apple) and they do it way better... just not many people know about the company yet.
