This law firm just hired Lynn Phyllis from NM. Phyllis is covering up and hiding a attempt of manslaughter charge. On 01-07-2021 at the Bernalillo county juvinile justice center here in ABQ,NM my husband David. J Cordova was working as a corrections officer in intake. He would be taken out of his position (for the jail was working short-handed again. He would go and assist in a riot and have 1 inmate succured on the ground when another inmate that was being held by a disgruntled worker. This disgruntled worker let this inmate go this inmate ran and kicked my husband in the head knocking him unconscious . NOBODY RENDERED AID! I was told this by 2 police officers. There were 2 RN's standing there that did NOTHING. My husband was taken to the hospital and left there ALONE. No calls made to his family . Lynn is personally holding back the videoS of this horrible incident. We the Cordova's are willing to go all the way to the supreme court and will be pulling licenses. This is a huge case. I GUARANTEE YOU SHE IS LYING TO ALL OF YOU. Now, Are you good people or are you going to look the other way?

On May 18, 2023 I reached out to Northstar Legal Group for help consolidating my loans. My enrolled debt amounted to 31,536.14. I agreed to pay Northstar legal group 571.00 a month for their services. I was instructed to avoid answering all calls from debt collectors while a team of legal personnel would be negotiating on my behalf a settlement with them. Time progresses and I continued to pay 571.00 monthly. On 12/9/2023 a loan was taken out by Northstar Legal Group through Versara Lending for a total of 18,200.00 under my name. My payments of 571.00 a month are now being directed to Versara Lending. To this very day there has been no progress in a settlement for a loan of 22,000.00 through Lending club, a loan I enrolled with Northstar Lending Group. I am receiving multiple calls on a daily basis from debt collectors. Calls are even coming to my work- a hospital operating room control desk reserved solely for surgical matters and concerns. My credit score is completely shot. Everytime I try and reach out to Northstar Legal Group I am put on hold for over 45 minutes and am never connected to anybody. The one time someone answered the phone she pretended not to hear me. I never get replies through their Northstar portal app and never get replies via email aside from please "call us". Today August 17th 2024 I drove an hour to their office on Washington ave Minneapolis. Their website said they were open until 5pm. I could not even find an entrance to their office. I am so concerned financially. Do I continue paying 571.00 a month indefinitely? Please, please help me. Thank you so much!

I submitted summons papers and no one at Northstar took action. 21 days elapsed without representation. this is a sham. Negligence, scam, however you want to look at it. Not even a better business client. do your homework. The most reprehensible choice I have made was signing with these people. Lawyer never responds whom is supposed to represent me.

Lawsuit filed by Attorney General's office against this firm for FRAUD. Please do not work with them! Google reviews and see for yourself!

After reading bbb reviews i believw this is a huge scam. The consultant that i spoke eith to get signed ups phone numbers no longer work. The lawyer i was assigned has a voicemail dayimg she can talk w north star clients over the phone and you must email her.

They started out great , very responsive and courteous...then recently it's all gone downhill. I sold my home and used some of the money to pay off the accounts that were outstanding. However , this firm has been dragging their heels about doing anything and have almost 6 grand of mine sitting in my account for 2 months . I contacted some of the companies and was able to clear 3 accounts myself within minutes and one phone call . I've asked for those accounts to be removed from the program and yet they haven't updated anything . Then to top it off the past two weeks they refuse to reply or answer my calls . If you call their offices it says they're closed . Stay away from this company they just want to drag you along and collect more money from you . Lesson learned, now to get my money back that they owe me .

I was able to get my credit back and pay off my debt over the course of several years after meeting with the company representative.

I made a phone call and the woman was very kind and helpful. Being in this situation is embarrassing enough without other people judging you and I feel like she supported me.

Well they are very nice but it does seem they take a bit to make settlements but it can be the creditors not wanting to settle easily

I am having bad expeience.I started the program with Northstar Legal Group in January 2023. Till Septemeber 2023 not even a dollar was paid to debt companies. First payment was done in October 2023.
Till now I have paid $37,544.06 to NorthStar Legal Group.
They have taken $25,523.06(68%) in fees and paid $12,021(32%) to debt companies. Why so much fees? I want most of the $25,523.06(68%) refunded to me because I have been mentally abused and I have been overcharged.
I started in January 2023 with monthly draft amount of $2688.08 then in a month I added few more debts to the program and my monthly draft was increased to $3,474.90
Till Septemebr 2023 since there was nothing done to pay debt companies my credit card companies interest and two summon fees went up to $15,000 approximate. My debt went up instead of going down. Northstar made 1 more debt active and increased my monthly enrollemnt by extra $791.67. I realized I don't have that much money to afford there scam program. I started removing debts which are not in active payment plan and told them to lower monthly draft amount and also for a refund of extra monthly draft money I have paid for 11 months, I was told NO. These financial transactions are handled by company named Global and my account number is 6036335096991636.
This company is a scam. They are trying to make money on debt people. I am mentally tortured and feeling depressed working with this company Northstar Legal Group. I cannot beleive this company can go this low. This company will bleed you dry. I already received settlement offers at home addres and I forward to Northstar and they use it. It is best to work directly with credit card companies and personal loan companies for settlement offers. Northstar Legal Group will say not to talk to credit card companies and personal loan companies for settlement offers because they want to charge high settlement fees from us which is approximately 68% of the debt amount.
On Friday 24th November I have cancelled the program.

It was easy and not very stressful. The people that helped me were extremely nice and did not judge my situation
