I tried the service many times; technically, the product is good and mainly reliable, but the customer support almost doesn't exist.
I have to send multiple messages to get an answer, and most of the time I have no answer at all.
It doesn't inspire trust.
The UX is not really good and confusing.
And nothing is there to help you build with AI:
- Hard to copy logs
- No MCP
- Old docs
Absolutely fantastic service. Highly recommend and highly competitive pricing.
Northflank advertises a free Developer Sandbox, but it still requires a credit card . Even if you don’t get charged, you can’t use the free plan without adding payment details. This makes it less beginner-friendly compared to other free hosting platforms.
Considering full switch to Northflank. So far it's been a short run for me, I primarily use Railway and Github Actions, since I only need a place for my Python bots, the rest is on Vercel, so far...
Experience so far is flawless, deployment of projects goes smoothly and without issues, the interface is intuitive and snappy, logging is done nicely - newest at the top, good filtering of logs and quick search within logs.
Haven't tried their Support yet, but am about to see how it is, not that I need it, but will test it and if something is of I can always come back and modify the review (not a threat, just checking because I have financial instruments deployed :))
UPD: Same day update, pinged support, instantly got a detailed answer. Perfect!
My experience with Northflank has been deeply disappointing. Despite reaching out to their customer service on multiple occasions and following up several times, I received no response. The lack of communication left me questioning the company’s ability to provide reliable support and dependable service.
In contrast to other providers who responded promptly and professionally, Northflank’s unresponsiveness reflects a troubling lack of commitment to customer needs and support. This experience has eroded any confidence I had in relying on their service for serious or time-sensitive projects.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Northflank based on this experience.
