Fake account and scam on debt collection

The first guy we talked to - "Jap" - was polite and promised that he would connect us to the "Risk Department" and call us back the next day at 4:30 EDT. He did call back, but an hour late and we rearranged our schedules to do that. We spoke with another agent who had so much background noise on her end that she could hardly hear us. They never resolved our issue. I suspect that she was not in the US.

They never sent us any information about the fake merchant account that was alleged to have run up a $5000+ debt that they sent to collections at Southwest Recovery Services. Why do I say fake merchant account? Because we never had any merchant accounts for the business that they cited. Ever. And my husband's ID was stolen and this has happened to him before.

Unfortunately, they dinged his Equifax report with the made up debt going to collections. I have filed an investigation report with Equifax and we've had our personal credit frozen for years. It will work out, but they are a scam and it will take our time and energy to resolve.

Several of the 5-star ratings have poor english and I suspect that those are plants from the company since most of them have just one review submitted to Trustpilot.

This is a scammer company

This shady company is claiming our company owes them money when they literally did not process a single transaction for us.

Somehow they're connected to another payment processor we started to use, but also didn't process a single transaction for us.

Never heard of them until they sent a bill via email. No details, just a random amount they claim we owe.

First of all in 2018 they started to…

First of all in 2018 they started to take out huge amounts of money for fees. I signed up because a friend of a friend told me I could save money and when he called he got some of the money back for me. I canceled in 2018 and this year they told me I needed to pay them $700 which I did for fees that were part of the cancellation process. Today they sent me another email from their collection agency telling me I owe them another $251. I am going to hire a lawyer tomorrow to get my account closed. This is ridiculous. What they’ll do is report you to the credit agency and run your credit. Beware very bad company!

find another merchant services vendor…

we had an account that was closed in 2018. after that point the continued to charge monthly fees after the cancellation. we were unaware of the charges until we saw that we had as debt collection on our credit score. we responded to the collection agency by certified mail disputing the debt. we didnt hear anything. a month later we contacted North American Bancard and was able to verify that our account was closed and an internal error caused the billing. They sent us a screen shot of the information. we then emailed the info to the collection agency with still no results. we again called North American Bancard to dispute the claim and was sent to a managers voice mail. We called back again to be transferred to another person in collections that said she could fix it and would send an email to confirm. Still nothing showed up I went from a 800 credit score down to low 600's and they could care less to fix this in a timely manner. I strongly encourage people to find other measures to conduct business transactions.

I had used this company for 10 years returned terminals and they still charged me.

I had used this company for 10 years. Went to return equipment credit card terminals and they never sent me email where to return it. So called one month later still they would not give me information where to send return equipment. Called 4 month later Jan 2021 they gave me an address returned equipment. Now May 2021 they send me a bill stating they did not receive equipment. When I called with tracking number. They say that I was out of original window to return september 2020. So now want to charge me beware they are losing business and try to get money out of you someway. Suggest go to SQUARE BETTER EXPERIENCE AND NO EQUIPMENT TO RETURN.

Today I want to share the frustrating…

Today I want to share the frustrating experience that I have with North American Bancard.
I was contacted by a North American Bancard agent back in 2019 for a better rate for the merchant credit card.
At first, the rate was good, but later on, it was so so (not worth the switch), but I still stayed with her.
Her name is Nya, phone number is 626-272-4929. She had been nice until the pandemic hit us hard. we are doing nails salon.
I could not afford the rent anymore so I gave up on the business. So in December 2020, I texted/called her to cancel the merchant service. She never responded since then.
So I had to call the North American Bancard customer service to cancel it myself. It was supposed to be done by my agent Nya.
And They were able to close my account and told me to wait for instructions on how to return the machine back to them via email.
I have been waiting since December 2020 for the instruction to come, but I never saw it in my email. And recently I kept receiving emails from North American Bancard about the invoices.
I was worried so I called them today 05/13/2021 to find out that I did not return the little machine and they are charging me $980 !!!
They even sent me to the collection department!
I explained it to them that I did not receive any instruction from them via email nor phone calls. The agent has not responded since then. So I did not know where to send it to.
I called customer service around 9:00 AM on 05/13/2021 to talked to Anna but she could not help me at all.
I told them that I have no use of the equipment whatsoever (since I closed the business). And I have been keeping the little machine with me all the time.
What is the point of keeping it if I do not use it? I would have not kept it with me if I had received the instruction.
So basically, the agent was very sweet when we were still in business, but not anymore after I told her that I had to close the business.
Customer service is trying to get everything that can instead of helping me to return the equipment. They are trying to get $980 for the card swiper machine.

THEY LIE TO YOU ABOUT CHARGES

TOTAL, ABSOLUTE, COMPLETE RIPOFF. Their sales agent, Amie Hobock, told us that there would be no charges unless someone used it to pay their rent, in which case all charges would be charged to the tenant. NO ONE EVER DID, and in the few instances where we tried to use their equipment. IT NEVER WORKED. So we assumed we were not being charged. I figured that Ms. Hobock would eventually pick up the equipment. Now I know why. THEY LIED TO US when they said there were no charges to us. THESE CROOKS WERE SIPHONING OFF CHARGES FOR TWO MACHINES even though we had only one that NEVER WORKED. If you enjoy being ripped off by crooks and thieves, North American Bancard is for you!

TERRIBLE COMPANY! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM

Where do I begin. This is hands down the WORSE merchant processor i've ever dealt with in my 15+ years in business. Currently, they've been holding nearly $3,000 of my money and are refusing to release the funds. Even after sending in all the required information and they still refuse to release my money. This has been going on for nearly 2 weeks and as of today, they STILL have refused to release my money.

The "analyst" handling my account has been the worse person i've ever dealt with. They claim that she will be in at 1pm ever day and that they will mark it as urgent, i'll add all the team leads, i'll add her backup. With all of those people added to an email you would expect that a return message or an update, but no I get nothing. I have to call in EVERYDAY to get it myself.

They sent my account to collections for a piece of equipment that I NEVER requested and NEVER received. I was never even sent a tracking number for this "equipment". They were trying to debit my account for things I didn't receive and for things I NEVER authorized them to charge me for, nor that I requested the equipment.

Please understand that this company is terrible. Their customer service is non-existent, they come up with excuses EVERYDAY as to why they can't release your money. DO NOT do business with this company. My previous merchant processor had terrible customer service, but at least I got my money. This company has terrible customer service and steal your money, so don't deal with them.

We own a small business and have been…

We own a small business and have been with this company for a few years, but they keep charging us for all these hidden fees. One fee we tried to cancel back in January, when we called they said to go online to cancel. We called them yesterday and they said they had no record of a call or a request to cancel and that they could only refund us for the past 3 months of the fees for that. When we asked about the other fees they said each one was supposed to be there for a reason though the person I talked to was confused about what some of the fees even were. Terrible customer service.

We had been a long time client of NABC…

We had been a long time client of NABC but after years of terrible service we switched. I called to let them know we were switching services and I needed to mail the terminals back. The CCR I spoke with gave me all the information on how to mail the terminals back, the address and the phone number to put on the fed ex label. This was in June 2018. In February 2020 I receive a statement from them. I called to find out why and they state our service had never been cancelled. I confirm with them that we had not had a batch since June 2018 and they agreed. They cancelled the service. Another 6 months later, August 2020, we get a letter that we are in collections for over $2000 because the terminals were never returned. I sent the fed ex receipt and they say this is not good enough since the tracking number no longer works and they cannot prove the terminals were delivered. According to their contract we had 10 days to return them from the cancellation of the service, I replied that they were sent back years ago and they said its our fault, that the terminals are now considered lost and we must pay for them... Absolutely Unbelievable.

Avoid NABANCARD

Two months ago we received a settlement report from a NABANCARD approved and supported terminal for over 1,000 transactions for a settlement of over $50,000. To date, NABANCARD has been unable to account for either the settlement amount or the financial information for the 1,000+ transactions represented in the settlement. Neither the customer service representatives, or the unnamed folks on the "back office leadership" team have been able to provide any answers. Our last email communication sent almost two weeks ago has received no response. At this point, with the lack of disclosure and willingness to provide information on the part of NABANCARD, we're left wondering if we or our customers have been the victims of some sort of data breach. Avoid at all costs.

The worst of the worst!

Stay away from these crooks...the worst company ever. If you do have an account with them and try to close it make sure you check your bank statements. they will slip fees and service charges, In my case a year and a half later, and not once but a few times. It is almost impossible to get your money back. How they are still in business eludes me. Returning the equipment is a nightmare and they try and charge you $895.00 for equipment that is worthless They are not even worthy of one star!!!!

Unbelievably Terrible.

Unbelievably Terrible.

As other reviewers have stated, North American Bancard and its charlatan partners Sekure are the WORST. Sekure and specifically rep Vibeke "Vee" Pederson used the most aggressive tactics I've experienced in awhile to solicit my business, and while I was incredibly skeptical (due to a previous bad experience with Sage Payments) and demanded everything in writing as well as thoroughly read my documents, she still promised some things verbally and in emails, that later she denied and refused to honor (of course after I'd signed my contract). She completely blocked further contact, and later I was charged fees that were NOT in my original documents nor agreed to.

Moving on after Sekure (who seems to just be middle/brokers for the sales process), North American Bancard has fairly good responsiveness and ease of use overall when I have a technical issue, however their fee structure, opacity of contract, and refusal to reverse fees that were accidentally charged is completely unacceptable.

I (again) IN WRITING and even on a recorded phone call have proof that I DECLINED their auto-enrollment for their PaymentsHub paid service option (as they require), yet they charged me for almost a year and refused to refund me those fees, even to this day. One of my reps even had the audacity to use the reason that it was because I contacted them a lot to correct billing errors on their part and didn't deserve a refund.

STAY FAR, FAR, FAR, FAR, FAR AWAY FROM SEKURE AND NORTH AMERICAN BANCARD. PERIOD.

This company is a fraud. We cancelled this account last year and now they are saying we owed them for terminals that we sent them since last year. This is ridiculous and unfair to our company, we haven't have this company for almost 5 years. Carolina Baking company.

Scammers

Scammers. I signed up with Authorize.net, and was never told ANYTHING about "bancard". I never gave "bancard" my bank account information, and certainly never authorized debit's from my account. I have never received ANY statements from them, either by mail or by email. They were charging me a monthly "non-compliance" fee, although I was NEVER notified about being in "non-compliance". They point the finger at "authorize.net" not setting up a "bancard" online account so I could go and GET my statements. So over the last year, even though i have not used their services AT ALL since Jan of 2019, they've been stealing money from my account without ever notifying me. Somewhere in the neighborhood of $1000. Legal scammers.....stay away if you're smart. Square!
