Dave and driver John were superb hosts! Dave had a delightful combination of humor and care for all of us. Very much enjoyed hearing about his adventures growing up in the country. Great job engaging... See more

We booked the Complete Scotland and Ireland self driving tour and our Travel Consultant, Michelle, was outstanding! She communicated clearly every step of the way, and planned an amazing trip and itinerary. All the reservations were flawless, with no mix ups. She booked us at wonderful accommodations, nearest to the main attractions of a town, city or village. Our itinerary included a map with areas clearly highlighted, along with complete travel guides. Hire Nordic Visitor if you want a hassle free travel experience, all planned for each day.

We booked the Express Ireland - Self Drive Tour and it was Amazing! When we got to our first hotel we received our welcome kit, which had all our vacation details along with tips and a book detailing all the sites we could see along the way. A large map highlighting the route we were taking and where all the sites were was also included and very helpful. Jana, our travel expert, was so great and answered all our pre-booking questions and then planned our trip. The hotel accommodations were great as well, one hotel being on the beach in Galway Bay and one being on a lake right next to a National Park In Killarney. We were so impressed that we are already planning our next trip with Nordic Visitor!

I will never travel out of the country any other way again! Nordic Visitor made our trip to Scotland so seamless, and for an amazingly affordable price. We took a 12-day self-drive tour and everything was taken care of for us! From the minute we landed, we had a scheduled airport transfer, hotel reservations for each day (in gorgeous and adorable hotels or B&B guesthouses + daily included breakfast), a rental car booked, and even ferry crossing reservations. We added on extras like the Glenlivet and Talisker distillery tours, a ghost tour, and a cruise on Loch Ness, and never ran into a problem with any reservation. Even the times Nordic Visitor selected for these fit into our driving schedule and other activities. Our agent, Magda, was with us all along the way and helped us customize the trip to perfection, we even got a nice welcome packet at our first hotel with all our reservation details and travel tips printed out for us. We are planning on going again next year, and are excited to book through Nordic Visitor again for an even longer trip!

The guide for our trip was exceptionally knowledgeable about Iceland. He knew everything about the geology geography history literature and language of Iceland. He shared a lot of stories that made our trip much more personal. Every hotel was quite different. Meals were excellent. I was really shocked and surprised at the variety of fruits and vegetables on a tiny island with very little sunshine. There was tremendous creativity in the culinary arts throughout the trip. Morning buffets for breakfast were more than sufficient. Weight staff were friendly I noticed that many of them spoke several languages we're not only saw and hiked and enjoyed many of the fantastic geological wonders of Iceland but our guide was able to fill in with additional information that you would never get if you visited these places on your own. As a photographer I always felt that I had adequate time to explore and catch the shots that I wanted and the ones that just seemed to appear.

We enjoyed a self drive tour around Iceland and we loved having a local travel consultant who us throughout the trip. They came in especially useful during the recent storm when they checked in on us to make sure we were safe.
We felt it was great value for money, loved the personalised travel documents and would highly recommend Nordic Visitor to everyone!
Thanks again!

there is zero service provided beside overpaying for hotel and car rental, our agent Karolina Lampert was rude and unprofessional when we called her to let her know the Hertz pick up left the hotel without asking reception desk to notify us pick up was ready, they didn't tell Nordic either, these things happen, but having a travel agent being rude and scolding you on the phone is unprofessional. The itinerary was shockingly poorly done, zero info on how long the drives are between attractions, or warnings which roads were closed for the season or paves, in case you dont have a 4X4 wheel drive car, each day had a few paragraphs with random palces to see, not a particular order or how to pace yourself, like someone googled attractions in the area and blasted them in the itinerary

I booked a trip to Iceland using Nordic Tours as I had never been to Iceland. The booking process was fairly easy after a few wemsils back and forth yo see what your would be best for us. We booked our flight and tour and we were off after letting them know our flight schedule, etc so they could pick us up at the airport . Since our plane was arriving from America at 6:45 am we opted for an early hotel check in. When we got to the airport no one was there to pick is up. I made several calls to the number provided but no response. Luckily I saw a woman with a Nordic tours sign who was waiting for arrivals . After talking with her and after she made several calls fur us- it was established that the Nordic has us down for arriving tomorrow so no one was there to pick us up. The woman agreed to take us to our hotel after dropping off her guests. Once we got to the hotel exhausted, we then found out that the hotel also had us down for arriving tomorrow and had no room for us let alone an early check in. Our Nordic contact was not reachable but the after hours line was . The woman on the phone insisted that WE were incorrect in our information. Once our Nordic rep. was reachable he confirmed that WE were correct and that somehow the information got put into the system incorrectly from Nordic. The manager at the hotel was extremely accommodating and was able to find a room for us and though one bed was a little twin bed I was only too happy to pass out on it. Now our itinerary was awful the way it was set up but I take part responsibility for that for not double checking things but I was hopeful the would put together a better timeline for tours. . I had the Northern lights tour which ended at 12:30 am and I was back at my hotel about 1am. I had a food walk tour booked the next morning at 8am. Needless to say, I did not make it . Then I later found out we had to extremely long days back to back. The glacier tour was 12 hours with no lunch break . The next morning we were scheduled for the Golden circle tour which we found out from others was a 10 hour tour . We opted not to go to the one. I had booked a helicopter ride which I found out I had to find my own way to and from the airport for that . The Nordic team reached out to apologize and were able to amply compensate us which was comforting. My advice: when booking check your itinerary for appropriate timelines. It will make for a more enjoyable trip.
Safe and pleasant travels-

Booked a self drive iceland trip with them. Everything went smoothly and organization of trip was great. I’m definitely going to book with them again when I return to Iceland in future. I believe they do any Northern European country.

We had such an amazing experience with Nordic Visitor who hosted the "Wonders of Ireland" 8-day tour. The group was small, 16 people, so we could use a large van rather than the huge buses that take forever for people to load/unload at each stop. The hotels were top notch, the sites we visited were diverse and enjoyable (distilleries, castles, gardens, waterfalls). Our tour guide Brian Simpson was truly incredible. He had a wealth of knowledge about the history, music and folklore of Ireland. He made the trip both informative and fun, and helped the group come together with his warm and engaging personality. Melissa our driver was also fantastic - kind, helpful and chatty. They both went above and beyond to ensure everyone was cared for and enjoyed the journey. I was torn about which company to use, and am so grateful we went with Nordic Visitor.
