We needed an emergency plumber for leak under the kitchen sink. Called up No1PHD - they were very efficient and pleasant on the phone. We had a call within 30mins from the plumber on Friday 16th and Lawrence arrived on time on Saturday morning and fixed the issue within 30mins. We were happy the way the job was completed and highly recommend him. We would definitely use this company again and Lawrence.

Staff on phone line were pleasant and informative.
Clear description of costs that might be incurred.
Team arrived onsite very quickly.
Problem identified and drains jetted out to remove the obstruction.
Team members friendly and informative about the issue and how it would be resolved.
Any complaints - not really but it would have been nice to be given a bit of a discount as the blockage was removed in minutes. Maybe offer a lower price for 10 minutes of jetting and then increase it.

Recently had an issue with No1PHD and left a review to reflect that. I received a call from Lucy Blake at No1PHD, who was extremely helpful, furthermore she arranged for John the engineer to get to me early the next day to try and resolve the matter. The follow up post that visit was also first class. Give No1PHD a go!!

I called this company out for a blocked outside drain. They did not turn up 2 times. When they did they told me that it could not be cleared and would cost 3.5k to take the pipe out underground and replace using a sleeve. I was told on the doorstep that they would not charge for the camera and initial attempt to clear the drain if i paid 1.75k deposit on the doorstep and and another 1.75k once work was done. Was told it would be a big job and felt pressure to sign immediately or they would charge for the initial assessment too. They arrived the following week and the work took about 2 hours. There is still soil all over the garden, and and tiles that were lifted were not concreted down properly. I wouldnt mind about these last two but was then told by insurance company and a similar company that it should only cost about 1.3k in total. I feel absolutely broken. I also work for the NHS and was not offered the discount they promote as they said it was already a good deal in the price. Currently now in debt.
***update*** Have been given an itemised list of costs. Being charged for initial callout despite being told I would not be. Being charged 400 for the guarantee despite being told this is part of the work. Being charged 2 days worth of equip hire despite the job being misquoted and only taking two hours. So far this is looking like an unscrupulous company looking to charge as much as possible and would highly recommend avoiding them at all costs* Attempted to contact to resolve and receiving no callbacks despite urgency. Will be going to small claims court to highlight many areas where I feel I have been taken advantage of*** Insurance confirmed that itemised bill was not only overstated massively but it comes to 700 less than the total anyway when all is added up. This will be escalated this week.

This is a really professional outfit.First contact via phone was highly efficient giving me a quote and indicating when an engineer would be available to undertake the work.
Engineer arrived on time complete with an impressive work station. He showed me the problem and together we agreed on a course of action and what the cost would be.
Upon completion of a fairly complex operation,Adam asked me to inspect the work to ensure that I was happy with the result.
Although fairly expensive I feel that I got a first class service and would not hesitate in recommending No.1 PHD.

Professional and polite team came to resolve my blocked drain. Unfortunately the issue was not resolved because the blockage was off boundary. They have done their best. Thank you guys.

Everything was explained in great detail as what was needed to be done. Quickly obtained a quote and gave us a date as to when the work could be done. On the day he phoned in advance to let us know that he was going to be late and gave us an approximate time to expect him to arrive and also phoned to let us know that he was on his way, which we appreciated. Once they started they worked quietly apart from when they needed use the machinery. They were polite and friendly and it was a pleasure to meet them.
