NO ACCOUNTABILITY
Although they were more expensive than most of their competitors, I chose NMS out of Simi Valley because of their personal touch. They sent Jack out to check out my belongings to be moved, and he was friendly and answered my many questions.
However, the day of the move, one of the workers put a large dent in the side of my filing cabinet. I was in the basement at the time so didn't see it happen and was astounded when the worker tried to claim the dent was already there. I bought that filing cabinet new and nothing ever happened to it to cause such a dent.
At the other end of the move, the workers piled two heavy boxes on top of my heirloom china. The china was in a special dish-pack box and had fragile stickers on the top and all four sides.
I wrote to Jack to tell him about these two issues. Although I didn't ask for compensation, I did mention that the large dent in my filing cabinet probably dropped its resale value by $100. I got no response. No apology. Nothing.
Find a different mover.
