Bought a faulty iphone 14 from shop in York

Bought 2 phones on Monday. Galaxy a26 and iphone 14.
the shops in Holland have closed down. I still had a voucher so purchased 2 phones in York. I didn't have time to check the iphone was working. The voucher had been converted to British pounds.
Getting home after 3 days the galaxy was working fine but the iphone wouldn't. start up, stalled and got very hot.
I told them about the problem and all they could say take it a cex shop anywhere ??? There are no shops overhere. I proposed to have it fixed here and send them the bill. They wouldn't hear of it. As it was a Xmas present for my wife I had no choice. Took it to a repair shop. The battery was faulty and it needed new software. Cost me 114 EU in all. Send them the bill but they won't reimburse me.
What can I do? I even asked them to give me a voucher, but they declined that too.

Professional Service

I recently had to deal with a warranty issue on a laptop I bought from CeX, and I have to say they handled it really well. The whole process was straightforward and they didn't try to avoid their responsibilities like some other retailers might. They were clear about what was covered and what steps I needed to take, which made everything much easier to sort out. No runaround, no excuses – just straight answers and a proper resolution.
What impressed me most was how fairly they treated me throughout. The communication was sharp and to the point, no waiting days for vague responses. They stuck to their warranty terms and actually followed through on what they promised. It's refreshing to deal with a company that doesn't make you feel like you're fighting for something you're already entitled to. Based on this experience, I'd definitely trust CeX again for future purchases. They proved they're reliable when it matters.

I sent you my phone without warranty as you say it has a two year warranty. The second phone came with a terrible battery at 75% with no charge in the battery. The whole thing is in terrible condition. The back is all peeled off for the display. Not to mention that I waited two weeks. I am very disappointed with you. 🤬😡😠😤🤬🤬😡

good experience as always

good experience as always. I only tried the items about a week or two AFTER delivery. one of the items didnt work, within 3 days I got my money back. no hassle nothing. absolute goated site. hope they stay around.

The console of XBOX 360 was working…

The console of XBOX 360 was working completely fine such as the games which I purchased along with the console. I was also amazed with the fact that there were the official docs inside of the case of every game.
The only disadvantage was that the controller was plenty of dirt which was almost impossible to take it out.
