Additional Charges

Very difficult to remain positive about my experience with Nixon Hire… the delivery and weekly service was amazing and, the service driver had no issues over 12 month hire! However the collection team have failed to collect the toilet resulting in addition charges… rip off. If you plan to use this service I suggest you keep a grip to ensure/prevent additional charges. Good luck is all I can say.

Another hire price increase, but they do nothing.

Nixon Hire, were recommended to me, many years later still renting from them, but yet another price increase just landed. They charge for delivery, they charge for collection, the dont maintain equipment, in fact they do nothing, and do not honour the agreed hire charges, so after now buying the eq many times over I asked for a purchase price. the price given was the new price, no discount for the fact it was old and had paid for it over and over. Best advice as others say use someone else. Clearly the ratings on here show they do not care about customers, old or new.

Use a more reliable supplier

Ordered a portable loo for garden party on Monday, after many emails back and forth and speaking to assistant paid bank transfer same day for delivery on the Friday. Friday came but the loo didn’t arrive! Spoke to them and promised me a call back. What I actually got was an email to say they had been having system issues all week and my order didn’t pull through! Why not call me then as promised to explain .. because didn’t want to speak to me. No mention of said “system issues” when I placed the order earlier in the week? And if you knew that then every order/delivery should be double and triple checked!
Terrible / would not recommend.

No to Nixon

Had some building work done. The portable toilet arranged by my builder arrived on time. Thats the good point. On completion my builder informed Nixon to take the portable toilet off contract and were told it would be collected in a couple of days. 17 days later I’m still waiting. 6 telephone calls made to the company and each time given a day for collection and not collected. I called twice today. 22/05/23 on the first call I got told Wednesday on the second call I got told Tuesday. All I will say is don’t use this company. I’ll be informing my builder about the problems too.

False Accusations on Customers

I was happy with the service in July so introduced my dad to Nixon Hire but your company has left a really bad impression on me after this incident.

I have made all payment without any outstanding amount left back last year in July and a lady named Maureen sends me an email stating Final Demand of outstanding balance of £300. It’s ridiculous that I’m being chased for this after nearly 9 months. I have not received any previous correspondence in regards to any outstanding payment: no call no email and no letter through the post. I am extremely upset with this service and how your accounts department is not checking their records properly. Had I not received the email last week on Tuesday advising on a final demand which is the first ive heard if it, I would have been declared a defaulter with no mistake of my own and had my name ruined with credit Experian.

Her email was a threat saying it would be passed onto Experian and CreditSafe. How have you signed the letter in the email and not even checked to make sure your after the right person. I am deeply upset as to how this would have resulted in had I never received that email and no one had the audacity to call me and chase this even though none of it was my fault.

I am unhappy with the service and ridiculous staff. Ignores my email for a complaint. Would avoid using them in the future and will not be recommending to anyone.

UPDATE:
I sent my complaint email as requested and still no response or acknowledgment. Ridiculous and waste of time service. Also I received the same type of email again request to pay outstanding balance when there is none when confirmed by their own manager. Unbelievable. They just want to look good on trustpilot like their trying to help but instead just brushing it under the carpet. Will definitely not be recommending to anyone.

Shocking customer service from the…

Shocking customer service from the Newcastle branch. Have tried for over 2 weeks to sort an office cabin out, kept being told they would ring me back. They never did, I had to keep ringing back. Never anyone there to deal with the sale. Now resulted in them not being able to provide the cabin 2 days before I needed it. Appalling service given to a returning customer. We won't be making the mistake of trying to use nixon hire again.

Very poor

Very poor. Company would try charge extra money for failed collection when they never attempted in the first place and used a photograph taken with other purposeas excuse. Happy to charge full price for 6 months even though site was closed, toilet not in use and not serviced (cleaned). Took them over 3 weeks to collect. Overpriced and no communication. Avoid using this company!
