Belgian license translation - April 2026

Had reservations for 2 cars in Japan, so was really counting - and stressing a bit - on the translation. But it literally took 1 minute at a 7-Eleven, a renewal is sent the day before, so no need to worry. Great service, thanks a lot to the team of NipponDriver! <3

Smooth and accommodating

Although the translation could not be delivered due to my own fault and was sent back from Germany to Japan, nipondriver sent it again without any fuss. I didn’t have to pay anything for the re-delivery

Bad experience

Unfortunately, my experience with Nippon Driver was disappointing. I was unable to obtain my driving license translation in time, which meant I lost my car rental deposit and could not rent a car during my stay in Japan.

The process has several pitfalls: the printing code is valid for only a short time, the translation must be printed exclusively at a 7/11 in Japan, and it can only be printed once(!!!), something that was not mentioned. Combined with the holiday season and the limited working hours of JAF, my case could not be processed in time.

The customer service was very responsive, but, in hindsight, they could offer little assistance in resolving the issue because everything was pending on the JAF. I might as well have worked directly with JAF once I arrived in Japan.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry that your experience in Japan did not go as planned and that this situation impacted your car rental.

That said, we would like to clarify a few important points for accuracy and fairness to future customers.

You did receive your official JAF-certified translation in time. Unfortunately, the issue occurred because you lost the printed document just a few days before your car rental pickup, during the New Year holiday period. At that time, JAF — the only organization authorized to issue and reissue certified translations in Japan — was closed, making any reprint impossible for anyone, including JAF itself.

Regarding the points you mention:
- The one-time print limitation and short validity of the print code are strict JAF rules, not conditions set by Nippon Driver.
- Printing at 7-Eleven is also a JAF requirement, as it ensures secure and certified output.
- These limitations apply equally whether you use our service, another one, or work directly with JAF by yourself.

Despite the holiday period, our team remained responsive and replied to your messages throughout. Given the timing and JAF’s closure, there was unfortunately no alternative solution that could have resulted in a different outcome — even by applying directly with JAF upon arrival.

We fully understand your frustration, but we respectfully believe that holding Nippon Driver responsible for this loss is not fair, as the circumstances were outside our control and unrelated to processing speed or service quality. Would you review your embassy with 2 stars if you lost your original driver's license or passport in Japan during the holiday season?

We truly regret that this situation affected your trip, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us further clarify these constraints to future customers.

Fast and reliable

Everything was great, from the quick support to the reliable translation. Chose the option to print in Japan and they provided a translation to be used at Family Mart without any issues whatsoever.

smooth process

I submitted the necessary information to Nippon driver on August 13. My application was reviewed and submitted for translation by JAF on August 18.
I recieved the translation in Belgium on August 27.
All went smooth. Regular e-mail updates during all phases of the process.

Fast and excellent service

Excellent Driving Licence Translation Service

Nippon Driver was not just quick and efficient, but they communicated really well too, both in terms of standard information and answering my specific questions. This is quite unusual in the modern, automated world, very positively so. I couldn't rate them more highly and would recommend them without hesitation.

Could not be easier and more…

Could not be easier and more convenient. In the past I always hesitated with self driving due to the effort but with nippon driver it's a few clicks on the computer and the printer in a 7 eleven. Brilliant
