Being a person who loves researching I have the Niostem headset. It connects to Niostem app via Bluetooth. The app has updated since I started about 8 months ago for the better.
To get better/faster connectivity the rubber electrodes should be stiff. Bought my unit used & had trouble—so I sent unit to Germany for repair (when it came back I noticed how stiff the rubber was & with my protocol of a few drops water then gel on each terminal —Connectivity is 100% in seconds..
This is low level micro current so you can’t hear it or feel it..
So does it work.. YES..New regrowth & hair shafts actually getting thicker & more pigmented. The device sits on top of the head.. So those hairs are targeted.. I have some weak receding hairs on sides so a future design might help that. But YES! it does work . I’m up to day 260.. & I used device while laying in bed with no straps..
This is only device (I know of) which makes new hair stem cells which make new hair follicles..
Remember DHT primarily is destroying hair growth & to counter that males in particular have to restimulate the hair to grow.. There are several ways to do this.. This device is another plus for that journey.

I have worn my Niostem daily for 8 months and have no cosmetic change whatsoever. Stuck to it daily with a few occasional days missed on holiday etc.

I wanted this tech to work as I want to support other entrepreneurs and this would be a game changer for millions of balding men.

But a product needs to work and deliver on its promises. It did not for me. Maybe because I am a norwood 5-6 or maybe because it is a fluke. I at least have lost trust and belief.

My plan was to stick to it for 6 to 12 months to see if there was any change and I can see none, and also their research does not show any data suggesting improved results over time, even if this is Mane Biotechs projection.

Also the device is uncomfortable, and leaves deep marks from the electrodes for 30+ minutes after a session. It is better with the electrode gel as it has a mild and cooling effect. However it does require you to form a habit. 30 minutes a day may sound easy, and it is if you begin the day with it everyday, but it is actually harder when you are not in routine (weekends and social life etc). Also the habit of having to think about and «hope» to start seeing hairs sprout again is for me exhausting and time consuming. I have better and more important things to think about vs the «fear of loss» in case I miss a session.

I have been active in their discord community and also see that most people who get results often combine it with many other treatments like finasteride and dutasteride. Hence I question the validity of many results.

Dont like to leave a bad review. This was a binary question for me - does it work, yes or no. It didn’t for me so I can’t recommend it- at least to others who have norwood 5+ and to be fair, Niostem does not recommend it for late stage hair loss.

The product is good quality and nicely designed, so I added 1 star for that.

I’ve been using the niostem device for several months now and the results are clearly noticeable. Before, I would see a lot of hair falling out every day – now it’s almost nothing. It has really helped reduce shedding and I feel more confident overall.

The device has become part of my daily routine, and when I had an issue after a firmware update, the support team was very responsive and helpful.

Iam now using niostem for 8 month.
As iam not using any fin or minox due to side effects I was waiting for some product like niostem. For traveling it’s a bit big, but not impossible to take it with you.
I was sceptical but it really works!!
It works even more in combination with other blood flow increasing treatments.
At the beginning I was sceptical cos of the negative comments. But at the end it really helps in creating more hair and it’s most effective at beginning stage of hairloss. They also say that when you are already bold for years nothing will come back, which makes sense after reading how this niostem works.
I would buy it anytime again!!

It seems like a SCAM. The product does not fit regular size head, and I tried to return the item, but they refused. What they did was to extend the conversation between us until the return guarantee was not viable. It is very painful to use. Do not recommend.

Response to generic response: you could had said to allow for return. Your message simply shows that your intention is not to allow any returns.

Update: niostem’s response is a lie. They simply do not honor refunds.

At first it was not fitting properly on my head, however, later I found the straps inside the case that helped me to get a good fit.

I am using the device for 4 months and just was at my hairdresser again, who noted that my hair is stronger and there is more hair.
I am really happy as I also see a difference looking in the mirror and feel a difference once I go with my hands through my hair!

Think twice before purchasing this device. It’s quite unstable and frequently disconnects and reconnects.

Also, be aware that you may not be able to return the device after a certain period. I started experiencing issues after three months, but support refused to accept the device+money back and didn’t resolve my Bluetooth connection problem. I’ve never had issues with Bluetooth on other devices. I eventually found a solution on my own, so I would say the support is poor.

As for hair regrowth, I haven’t noticed any improvement after almost six months of use. What I highly recommend is checking your vitamin levels, especially for a copper deficiency. I stopped losing hair when I started taking copper and massaging my scalp.

As for the benefits of the device itself—none that I’ve noticed. Is there even 5% growth? Does it really matter? More discomfort than results. Just look at the results from their customers—it’s minimal. Insignificant changes.
