I have parked on Russell’s hospital car…

I have parked on Russell’s hospital car park for my partner scan in relation to her being pregnant.

I have then received a fine via the post even though I have made a clear attempt to pay through the app with a payment reference.

I have disputed this and been told it has been rejected based on I had still parked there. I told them there is a clear issue with the app as there is a payment reference and has been a clear attempt to pay.

Because they are day light thieves I have still been demanded to pay the fine even though I tried to pay on sight and there was no actual transaction.

I never really write reviews actually this is my first one and can honestly say don’t park where they operate and find somewhere free to park and just walk to your destination. It will save you £40.

ID required for under 16's

No where does it mention that under 16's need ID to travel and have to go through a member of staff to enter the metro system. My 15 year old was caught out and embarrassed and upset by a member of staff who didn't believe she was under 16. Nexus response was basically should have read website terms and conditions and lucky she wasn't fined

Check their confusing documents!

No one is going to give 5 stars, but its access I have an issue with and a possible breach of equality standards. Tiny print, poorly laid out documents with inaccesseible layout and, so far as I can tell, no means to request easier to read documents. As a public service provider under the 2010 Equality Act,
reasonable sdjustments should be made and I cant see that they are.

Also, if you appeal it seems you lose the early payment discount. I appealed, got turned down on 9th December but they held the £60 charge for a further 14 days from then, however, 3 days later, I received a notice requiring me to pay £101.50. I will have to call them.

No resilience, so fragile it's unusable

The Metro network has no resilience at all. It is so fragile that it is simply too unreliable to use. From infrastructure, trains to staffing the delay excuses are the only reliable constant of this failing and expensive to use transport system.

If you have to be somewhere on time - do yourself a huge favour and use another way to get to where you need to be.

It's is quickly becoming a let down to the North East. It's probably about time for our local politicians to consider if Nexus is capable of running this service.

What a grubby little company

What a grubby little company. Don't attempt to pay your parking charge by phone. Their system doesn't answer and the time ticks away making them a profit. You then get a surprise when your mobile bill arrives. Then you complain about them breaching an implicit contract by offering this so called"service" and not delivering. Following this your complaint and request for a refund will simply be ignored. Utter scumbags of the first order.

Absolute robbing b******s

Absolute robbing b******s. I work at the hospital and pay as staff to park then get charged for dropping my mum off at an appointment. Impossible to read small signs. The other company that ran the hospital parking let staff park where they wanted.

Bad design of new trains.

Though the old metro trains were unreliable the new trains don’t seem to be much better.
Even though the new Metro trains are clean, very quiet & smooth they lack basic functions like the old train.
Firstly there are less seats & the seats they do have are rock hard.
The worst aspect of the new trains are there are NO windows to open & allow fresh air into the train 😡
I have know doubt that the operator will point to the air conditioning but I am sorry to say it’s rubbish & as the trains get older I have no doubt they will get worse.

Greedy Scammers

The company are scammers, they do not care about their customers one bit. I paid for a journey using a pop card, the card was scanned it at the station I got on and had a sufficient fund (£7) for the £1 journey. The pop card had become invalid (this is not my fault I still had money and was unaware that it had become invalid). The fined me £100 which I appealed twice. Even their own staff on the phone said it was ridiculous that I was getting fined! Then they sent me a court letter for the fine. A court letter, for a journey that was paid for and I additionally lost money from them taking the card off me so either way they profited. Greedy company that does not care about loyal customers.

Seen better train service in third world countries

I have the misfortune of having to rely on this unreliable service 2 days a week. I can guarantee there will be some issue every week whether it’s a leaf on the track, overhead cable problems or just not enough trains running. Terrible service for the working population of the north east. Late again for work today. Cheers nexus 😡

Nexus are the most farcical company I have had the misfortune of dealing with and it is pretty laughable that customers pay for this ‘service’. Good to see the price increases made the service even worse than previously

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. Nexus manage the staff car park where I work and am registered to park my car. I’ve now had a number of fines from parking in the car park that my vehicle should be able to park in. Nexus online platform doesn’t recognise the PCN’s, you can’t appeal by phone and they don’t respond to appeal letters. Now facing debt recovery. Not fit for any kind of purpose. Unable to follow their own procedures.

Can someone please sort out the…

Can someone please sort out the introduction of the new trams. Sitting in sidings in Switzerland getting covered in graffiti, entering service at a snails pace, frequent breakdowns and doors opening on the wrong side. It’s been 5 months since the first one was rushed into service so that it could be claimed that the promised 2024 deadline had been met. We are nearly into June and nearly all of the services are still operated by the faithful old units rather than the new £362 million fleet!!

Can the new Major not do something?
