This is our six or seventh year with Next and…

This is my seventh year with Next and the app makes things so easy for any insurance needs. From Adding additional insurance as we've grown, adding additional insured and when we had questions our rep was Johnny on the spot with getting right back to us. Next makes it easy for contractors and small business owners to find whatever it is they need. Highly recommend!

COMPANY WAS BOUGHT OUT—HIGHER REVIEWS NO LONGER APPLY

I have used Next Insurance for term insurance for many years. They were terrific. On July 1, 2025, they were bought out by ERGO Group AG (Germany). The company has gone to hell. Hidden service fees. Long wait times for online-only support. Service representatives that respond with script responses. Can't imagine what it would be like to file a claim. NO LONGER RECOMMENDED.

Your response raises more questions than it answers.

To address your claim that you cannot locate my account: I have already contacted your customer service department directly regarding these exact issues. That interaction was unproductive, which is precisely why this review exists.

Regarding your assertion that fees are "stated and signed upon" — that may technically be true, but it is misleading. I was a loyal Next Insurance customer for years and was never assessed these fees under previous ownership. It was only after ERGO Group AG completed its acquisition of Next Insurance on July 1, 2025, that these charges appeared. I did not learn of them through any proactive disclosure — I discovered them on my invoice and later had them confirmed by a customer service representative. Burying post-acquisition changes in updated terms and conditions is not transparency — it is an expectation that customers won't notice.

Further, when I contacted your chat assistant with a question about early termination, those fees were never raised. A straightforward question about leaving your service couldn't even prompt a mention of relevant charges. That is not a company that stands behind its pricing.

As for your invitation to email support or call your team: I have already done that. The experience confirmed what this review describes. There is nothing further to investigate.

This review stands as a factual account of my experience. Other customers can decide what to do with that information.

It is very easy to use

It is very easy to use, my only concern/Complaint, is the unwillingness to Actually cover a Legitimate Claim, when it is Filed.. and NOT try to use Silly “technical” loopholes to screw over their clients..

I was charged a “service fee” equal to…

I was charged a “service fee” equal to approximately 50% of the policy price. When I purchased, your materials stated “cancel anytime with no penalty.” There was no mention of a cancellation service fee during checkout. I only learned of this fee after cancellation and by searching through the lengthy contract, where it is not conspicuously disclosed. This is misleading and contradicts your “no penalty” claim.

For transparency, please identify exactly where this fee was clearly disclosed prior to purchase at checkout. If we can’t resolve this promptly, I’ll submit a formal complaint to the state insurance department and consumer protection authorities and pursue a chargeback with my card issuer based on misrepresentation/undisclosed fees.

Love this company

Love this company! Love the app.. they make it so easy to get my COI’s for my business. Way to go, NEXT!! Awesome customer service also.. I am really glad I made the choice to work with this company.
