Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 71 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the staff, particularly regarding certain anchors and commentators who they felt were unprofessional or biased. The marketing and advertising practices were a significant source of frustration, with numerous complaints about excessive, repetitive, and long commercials, some of which promoted products customers found misleading. Reviewers also felt the service was poor, citing issues with news content being blocked by ads, a lack of real honest news, and a perceived shift in editorial direction. Regarding the product, some people were dissatisfied with the quality of the news, describing it as mindless cheerleading or lacking substance, and mentioned issues with advertisements for physical products that they found unclear. Conversely, a small portion of people felt the news coverage was great, on point, and appreciated the focus on specific political figures.

Thank you Newsmax for moving Greta to 4:00! She had no business in prime time, she sounds more like a Democrat than a Maga person. The new lineup is way better! Now if you would cancel Jason Nichols,... See more

I hate all the commercials and how often they are repeated. Sometimes the same commercial 4 times in a roll. I turn it off and go to another network.

Quality of service unreliable

Quality of service unreliable. Poor streaming shows they stoped in the middle of and morning news comes on instead. Show completely not shown and morning news put on. My star rating was great now a two or three. Need to upgrade your service that people paid for.

Newsmax is Great, their commercials…not!

Newsmax is Great but their commercials are the worst. It’s like watching long segments from the home shopping network. I’m not sure who the advertisers think is actually watching Newsmax. I said to my wife perhaps we should subscribe to Fox News, thankfully she talked me down. Seriously, do something about the commercials.

I like the station except for the old…

I like the station except for the old Judge on freedom file. I feel like that guy is not a conservative. And he annoys me every time I’m drinking my coffee in the morning when he comes on. I switch the station. He’s always against Trump it seems and things that are going on with the Republicans. I feel he’s more democrat than anything. I thought this was a Republican station so if it’s not, I won’t be watching.

I do like the shows

I do like the shows, lots of good commentary. I DO NOT like the ads. They are misleading and often force you to watch long videos just to get to the sales pitch. The ads are not particularly relevant or worthy of my time. I’ve fallen for a couple and regretted both. I know that’s how you get the revenue, but you really need to vet the content better

Newsmax is Breath of fresh air. FINLEY!!

Newsmax is awesome with Rob, Greg, Chris great place to get real News and all of the newsmax crew. I've been watching them for years and love how they cut through the BS and tell you what's really going on. Although you have haters that try to make a an honest new station look bad, but the proof is in the pudding. If you want real news and know what's really going on with politics this is your station.

Newsmax doesn't want complaints

So I paid for a subscription to Newsmax so I could watch Greg Kelly and Rob Schmidt. There are a lot of other good shows on there as well. My complaint is they ask for feedback but they don't want to hear if you have complaints. The amount of commercials is excessive, I've read that also another reviews about Newsmax but even worse they have American Moments. They are very very long and there is several with every break. Plus they're all reruns they have like five different ones. I did not sign up for American Moments.. I have complained to all the shows. I've complained about other things like their app, it's the worst one I have on my phone. It doesn't load. You cannot find things. Worst app ever, and has been for years. And apparently others have complained about that as well. Newsmax customer service does not care if you are complaining They only want to hear if you're not complaining.. I really don't know if I would pay for a subscription again. They just don't seem to care what their viewers have to say.

Absolutely horrendous ads

Absolutely horrendous ads, I can’t take it any longer. I know they need ads for income but come on can’t you make them look a little more professional.

A Must for Moderate to Right-Leaning Viewers, Worth a Peek for those Left

If you lean to the Conservative side of politics, Newsmax programming is great. They offer six hours of terrific opinion-based news shows weekdays from 4-11pm EST. Programs lack Fox’s big-dollar visual bling, but the evening hosts are witty, outspoken, and entertaining. On the downside, Newsmax plays lots of commercials—seemingly more than any other cable news network—but this has improved and evenings aren’t as commercial-heavy as the daytime. I used to DVR the evening programs because commercials were so frequent, but now they are limited enough to make live viewing tolerable.
For those with moderate-to-right viewpoints, Newsmax is definitely worth watching. Folks to the left might still benefit from checking out Rob Schmitt or Rob Finnerty. They both offer light-hearted and often humorous perspective on events as seen from “the other side.”

Trash and not even accurate news

Trash and not even news. You would think that a news outlet would deliver accurate information instead of lie about what they want in every other sentence.

I’m not even talking about the opinion stuff, they genuinely get information wrong constantly to the point that their content is misinformation.

FAR TOO MANY COMMERCIALS

I really love the shows on NEWSMAX PLUS, especially Greg Kelley, Chris Plante, etc. But the little of bit of juice you get between the commercials is not worth the squeeze. I just cancelled my subscription because I don't think anyone should have to pay to watch commercials. And the commercials seem to consume so much more time than the actual shows. Sorry, I will miss my shows, but NOT the never ending commercials.

I call BS on Newsmax’s initial stock…

I call BS on Newsmax’s initial stock purchase offering. It was originally capped at $100,000,000.00 and is only open to people worth a million or with an income of $200,000.00+ who will receive a 25% discount and a 7% dividend. (In other words, only wealthy people can invest early to get discounts and dividends.)
So, all of us middle—and low-income people who represent 95%+ of Newsmax’s viewing audience must wait for the Initial Public Offering (IPO) to buy our stocks at full price with no dividend.
They have extended their cap to $150,000,000.00 and now to $200,000,000.00 for the initial wealthy purchasers. In their advertising of this issue, they say it is an SEC rule. If so, they shouldn’t have extended the cap so that middle and low-income buyers would be able to purchase shares at a reasonable price.
Another option for Newsmax to be fair would have been to establish a co-op (representing a wealthy investment) whereby all people could pool funds to get the appropriate share of stock with the discount and dividend.
I planned to purchase $2,500.00 of their stock but have decided to stay out. Because the wealthy receive their $200,000,000.00 worth of IPO shares at the 25% discount and dividend, which will lower the opening value of Newsmax stocks, only providing immediate profit for the <5% wealthy of Newsmax viewers who will be the shareholders on opening day selling to make an immediate 25%+ profit.

Newsmax Plus App keeps crashing. Canceling subscription.

Newsmax has been our go to new channel for years however, during the last few months, the TV app keeps bugging out with a message that “We ran into a problem, we are sorry.” It then reverts back to the “Watch Live Now” button. It is the worse in the evening. The app only lasts 5 minutes and then boots you out of the app. We are cancelling our subscription. If they know they have a problem, they should communicate with their subscribers.
