I have hesitated to leave this review but feel it is important to share my experience with NBC and the owner and director, Andre Collier, so that others can make an informed judgement. I hired NBC for a simple rear extension and internal reconfiguration of my property that NBC estimated would take 16 weeks to complete. The project remains incomplete one year and six months later due to severe mismanagement and we must now undertake remedial work ourselves to complete the works properly and obtain building control sign-off. NBC’s director, owner, and the project manager, Andre Collier, had told me that building control approval had been secured a year ago in March 2022. This was not true. I received an email from NBC management on 25th April 2023 stating that the company is being placed into voluntary liquidation.

During the project, NBC dismissed concerns about the roof they incorrectly installed despite visible leaks that left the walls soaking. They installed a window designed for a minimum pitch of 15º onto a 12º roof and insisted it was fine despite leaks and confirmation from the manufacturer that this installation was incorrect. NBC defectively installed windows where the cills sloped back towards the house, allowing water pooling and ingress into the house. NBC installed a kitchen without referring to manufacturers’ instructions causing multiple issues and defects, and boxed in the mains sockets behind the units so that the appliances did not work. In the end, NBC overcharged us by many thousands of pounds by charging twice for items and by charging us for work that they did not undertake. The incompetence of the project management and the trades was terrible. I notice that NBC is still posting on their website and social media as well as advertising the business locally despite telling me that the company is being placed into liquidation. I hope the company will inform current and prospective customers and employees of the liquidation. I cannot recommend this company or the work of the owner and director, Andre Collier.

Back in 2020 NBC undertook a complete overhaul of our kitchen and living area. This included knocking down internal walls and an exterior opening for bifold doors.

From the outset we knew we were in safe hands. Andre introduced us to various kitchen designers and even attended attended various planning meetings with us. Everything was clearly costed under a JCT contract.

Upon starting the work they were very good at keeping us advised of progress. With Covid there were delays with materials, but this was understandable and any delays were advised about.

Apart from the noise of building works they kept themselves very much to themselves. Everyone was polite and professional and were happy to answer any questions we had.

The end result is stunning and we and our three sausage dogs are delighted with the new and improved living space that we now have.

I would have no hesitation in recommending NBC for any domestic construction and I would like to thank Andre and NBC for making our house a home!

After meeting Andre and talking through the work we needed doing to our garage, I felt confident that they would do a good job and I wasn't disappointed. The work was finished on time and to a high standard, with no hidden costs or surprises! I would highly recommend Andre and his team. Thank you!

We used NBC for our double story extension and they were fantastic. We felt like we were in very good hands from the word go, the quality of the work was outstanding, they were very trustworthy and weren’t phased when we added extras that weren’t in the original plans. We have already booked them in for our next renovation project and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any friends and family!
