Expect ZERO Customer Support for naviextras.com

I recently purchased a Stinger Horizon10 Infotainment / Navigation unit for my Jeep. A NNG Igo Navigation card was included in the package purchase. Although I was able to activate the Navigation card with some minor struggles, the customer support via naviextras.com is non-existent. There is no phone number or functioning website or email to contact the company regarding questions or issues. I've been checking back on the website for over a week, no changes. Additionally, Stinger Electronics could not provide me a method to contact NNG. This is perhaps the worst, most fraudulent case of allegedly customer support I've experienced.

Purchased map update for my Subaru

Purchased map update for my Subaru. The payment was processed without problems or delay. The tool box never updated my may. (used Windows task manager to monitor my removable disk).
Sent request for help to customer service. Only response was e-mail with a copy of my purchase invoice, NO RESPONSE from customer service.
Next step is to dispute charge with credit card company.

Just took trip from Denver to Seattle…

Just took trip from Denver to Seattle and had a chance to compare side by side the Naviextras app with both Google Maps and Apples maps.
Like comparing a beat up Beetle to a Rolls Royce.
It’s a worthless app that has none of the functionality of either Google Maps or Apppe maps. Its direction alerts are late ( as to which lane to be in so as to take and exit or stay on road) do not include naming the exit number, etc.
it’s NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Stay with Google or Apple.

Non existent help and expensive system.

Purchased an Alpine F9004DC media centre for my camper van this year. Updates for maps on iMac does not work. Support on website does not work. Email for help does not get a response referred back to non functioning website. Called Hungary in desperation as the only phone number given - no one picks up the phone! A very expensive exercise for very little in return. Would NOT recommend Alpine based on my experience.

I bought the Alpine INE-W116D

I bought the Alpine INE-W116D, Alpine being good and tomtom being good.. What i didn`t expect was too pay for packages, not get the updates and when you clock the contact customer support link the page not too work.
I even contacted alpine customer service no one answered. Yet Tomtom replied as quickly as they could but because it is integrated in a device not of theirs they cannot help and have to contact the navi customer service. SO anyone about too purchase any device with that uses the Navitool software system DO NOT BUY find something else

Naviextras update not showing speed warnings and no help from them

I purchased an update for western Europe maps for my Dacia Duster 4 years old, it cost 96.75€, when I updated from 2022 maps to the latest 2025 maps I found that the Speed warnings did not work and when they did at random times and roads the speeds were very wrong , for instance showing 90km through all roads in a town that should have been 50 or 30km. I reported this to Assistance multimedia, they asked for photos of several screens on the unit which I sent over several weeks, they insisted that I send the problem with each road and the correct speeds, this I told them was impossible as I had travelled over 1000km in various parts of the contry and mostly there were no speed warnings at all, they were very unhelpful and would only report to the map people if I supplied this information. I told them as the previous maps were fine and only went wrong after the update and it was a software problem and not something missing of the map, they did not want to know. Months later I thought that I would try another update to see if it corrected ( as they said it might do) the update turned my maps back to 2022 which in fact had the correct speed warnings.I then told them that and tried the update again this time back to the updated 2025 maps but agin same problem, no speed warnings and no help from them at all, they have washed their hands of the problem. There is no way you can contact the Hungarian company NNG Kft who make the maps and the invoice is from them. Has anyone managed to go to arbitration with them at all. One star is far too much for this company they should be zero

Map files bad no support

Bought an update and installed, went well but 2 months later the maps for Montana and Idaho would not work. Requested support sent pictures of the errors and receipt for map upgrade. 10 days waiting and nothing other than automated response.

Naviextras I paid 169 euro's for nothing and customer service is aminefield

Naviextras I paid 169 euro's for 3 years and 6 updates all went well until I put the memory stick into my van to update and then nothing 1/2 later nothing it had frozen. ( Engine going satnav on all the time )
When I took the memory stick out I got a message saying it was in compatible. I went back to my computer to delete the Renault sat nav I had chosen and double check I had the correct one to find I had chosen correctly.
And then find the mapping is not there under my I/D and password it's gone, So I'm 169 euro's out of pocket, And my slightly out dated mapping in the van has now gone and there's no one to talk to about it , I feel so angry about this I need help to sort this and the information they offer is not user friendly or helpful :-((

Bodering On A Scam

I followed all the instructions purchased two years of maps for $285 Aus.
When i put the usb in the car I get the message incorrect licence all attempts to contact support have failed and when i try to sunbmit a docket to Naviextas it tells me there is no support for the device I have selected. So why did the toolbox tell me there were map updates and take my money if the unit was not supported.Very expensive lesson so just be very careful, if any thing goes wrong there is no such thing as support. This type of issue cannot be solved in help files you need someone to communicat with but they have no intention of doin that.

Absolute waste of space

Absolute waste of space. Followed all the instructions to back up my system to USB. Started the program and just repeatedly told 'To start using Naviextras.com Naviextras Toolbox, you need to connect your device or storage card to the computer' USB card is conneted to computer and it is working. As for the help line and customer support it is not existant unless you live in the USA

Poor product, shocking prices and worse customer service.

I've shied away from using Naviextras with previous vehicles when they have wanted upwards of £150 to update a set of maps (and that's once only not lifetime updates!) but felt it surely must be better when using the official Land Rover update app for my other car. After spending over £100 the maps downloaded but all voice navigation was broken. I could find no way to fix this, other than to roll back to my previous version, so contacted support and asked for a solution or a refund. After 7 days and sending two chasing emails with zero acknowledgement or response I took it up with my credit card provider to get my money back. I finally got a reply from Naviextras over a month later. Hopeless. I will certainly avoid buying a car or headunit again that relies on Naviextras for maps.

Fantastic experience

Against some reviews in this portal, I had a fantastic experience with customer support of naviextras. After having problems with downloading the map update for my Renault, I contacted the customer support via website of Naviextras. They got back to me after two days and explained me how to download it and beyond that they gave me further guidance in the installation process.
