Scammers use this email service for scamming

On the 29 January 2025 I said -
"This email service is being used by scammers to send phishing messages from the Australian Government, ATO, child support, myGov. IE - your tax return is due and dodgy links."

It took your company a full 11 months to reply with the above ….. I call BS this company does not know how it involved in scamming…. hence why im here.

"Thank you for raising this concern. Phishing emails impersonating government agencies like the ATO and myGov are a serious problem, and we want to address this directly.

We were unable to locate any account associated with your details in our system. This, combined with the nature of your report, suggests a likely explanation:

Email spoofing is extremely common. Scammers routinely forge sender information to make phishing emails appear as though they originate from legitimate services—when in reality, the emails were never actually sent through those platforms at all. Government impersonation scams are widespread and typically operate completely independently of the email services they falsely appear to come from.

Our platform has strict anti-abuse policies. Nautilus serves small business professionals such as real estate agents, tradespeople, and local service providers who use our platform to send helpful newsletters to their existing clients. We actively monitor for suspicious activity and immediately terminate any account that violates our Terms of Service.

We'd welcome the opportunity to investigate. If you still have one of these emails, please forward it with full headers to [abuse at nautilusmail.com]. This allows us to verify whether the message actually originated from our infrastructure or was simply spoofed—and take appropriate action either way.

We take platform integrity seriously and appreciate any information that helps us maintain it.”

I will continue to forward you the evidence when I find it … in this case the scammer link went to your Nautilus log in page….. so I don’t think I am wrong.

We apologize for the delayed response—we recently implemented a more proactive review monitoring process and are now addressing older feedback we previously missed. That's on us, and we understand your frustration.

Regarding your update: if the link in the scam email directed to our login page or displayed a message saying "This link was removed," that actually indicates our abuse prevention system working as intended.

Here's what likely happened:

A bad actor signed up and misused our platform. Nautilus is an email marketing service—similar to Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or any other email platform. Unfortunately, malicious actors occasionally sign up for legitimate services and abuse them before being detected. This happens across the entire industry.

We caught them and took action. When we detect or receive reports of suspicious activity, we immediately disable the account and deactivate all associated links. Those links then display our removal message rather than the original destination. The fact that you saw this message means our safeguards worked.

The scammer is not Nautilus. We're a small team building tools to help legitimate small businesses stay in touch with their clients. We are not the scammers—we're the platform that got exploited, identified the abuse, and shut it down.

We genuinely want to investigate further. Please do forward any evidence you find. This helps us strengthen our prevention systems.
We appreciate your vigilance in reporting phishing—it helps everyone.

Don’t bother

Don’t bother. You can get a lot of the same coverage elsewhere, and although I subscribed in January, I am continually asked to re-enter my information. This takes 10-15 minutes and sometimes isn’t even successful. It’s not worth it. And they didn’t even tell me if they would provide a refund or not or respond in anyway.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We're sorry to hear about your frustrating experience, though we want to make sure we can actually help you.

After reviewing your concerns, we believe there may be some confusion—Nautilus is an email newsletter platform that helps small business owners stay connected with their clients. We don't offer "coverage" in the traditional sense, and our onboarding process takes just a few minutes rather than repeated 10-15 minute sessions.

We searched our records thoroughly and were unable to find any account associated with your name or email address, nor any support inquiries regarding a refund.

If you are a Nautilus customer: We sincerely apologize if your experience fell short. Please reach out to us directly at support@nautilusmail.com with your account details, and we'll personally ensure your concerns are addressed promptly—including any refund request.

If this review was intended for a different company: We completely understand—it happens! Trustpilot makes it easy to update or remove reviews if you'd like to redirect your feedback to the correct business.

Either way, we hope your issue gets resolved. Please don't hesitate to contact us if there's anything we can do.

It's a great tool, considering its pricing!

Recently I have been working with a multitude of Email Automation tools. I have tried Klavio, Lemlist before. As far as functionality is concerned, Nautilus lets me do everything the other tools let me do. Frankly speaking, it's a great tool, considering its pricing!
