Ridiculously horrible customer service

Every year trying to get my RMD sent to me was a hassle compared to any other company I deal with. When you decide to create some cash in your account (sell some holdings)in order to have your RMD sent out and you want to sell on a day when the market is particularly high, that never works -- "processing" your request takes a couple of days and you could easily miss that high point in themarket. Then it takes about a week to get your money. This year was the last straw -- I'm getting my RMD this year after 9 days of requesting my RMD. Totally unacceptable!! So I moved my $300k to Fidelity where service is beyond the point of excellent! This year I had such terrible customer service trying to accomplish this simple task I HAD to talk with a person higher than a customer service rep and told them about their atroticous and poorly trained staff who deals with the public. I should have read some reviews on this company and would have bailed out years ago.

after 470 days am probable black listed…

after 470 days am probable black listed now because, I am still not registered with my energy supplier because documents not being sent. I had to put in two formal complaints and ask CAB to get involved before I received two forms then had to wait again for the last one .I have just tried to register with my energy company and pay the £250 fee , to be told I need another form . G98 or G99.
The out come from having 8 solar panels from this company , £10.685 loan £900 dept with energy supplier, not getting money back from the grid for the energy they have had from my panels. which would have helped pay for my night time use. The stress trying to get them to honour their contract just so I can sort out my dept with my energy company and start to get money back from the grid, I feel so let down and stupid for putting my trust in this company . its just been one thing after another trying to get it sorted

Nationwide sucks

Nationwide sucks, I would never use them again. They have basically doubled my premiums in the past year, and when I finally have a claim for golf ball sized hail, they denied it and said that it was just "natural deterioration" on my shingles even though my car has dents in it from the same storm (parked in the driveway). They said I had skylight damage and exhaust vent/pipe damage but nothing on the shingles. So everything on my roof is damaged except the shingles and all my neighbors had damaged shingles but I don't? GTFOH. I also had 2 contractors submit pictures showing the hail indentations and provide estimates, but they didn't budge. They're crooked....so I found other insurers within a month. Progressive is 1/3 of the cost on auto insurance so I saved $1000 a year and found a smaller company to insure my house where I saved $1500 a year in premiums.

I have car insurance through Nationwide

I have car insurance through Nationwide. I pay almost $170 a month. I have rental car coverage with my plan. I recently had a slight fender bender accident. I filed a claim. I assume Nationwide partners with Enterprise. The maximum Nationwide pays a day is $30.. There is no cars $30 a day, which leaves me paying out of pocket. I spend my hard earned money on car insurance for benefits to not work in my favor when needed.

I was impressed by the T.V ads

I was impressed by the T.V. adverts but my experience of customer service since opening an account are quite different. Staff in the branch were not helpful in me opening an account, I was told to return tomorrow after 2p.m with no offer of an appointment.
I returned a month or so later to add money to my account, staff seemed uninterested. I have not experienced this at any other bank and am inclined to not deposit any more funds now.

Results of Nationwide's "helpful" photo self assessment

A few months ago, Nationwide requested a self "photo-assessment" of my home. When I got the results of that assessment, Nationwide demanded several "corrections" that had to be repaired by a licensed, bonded contractor. Proof of those repairs had to be submitted to Nationwide within two months. When I contacted them, and told them that I could not afford these repairs within the given timeframe, they would not negotiate, and simply said that if I could not prove that the repairs were done by a licensed contractor that they would cancel my policy. One of the areas identified by Nationwide did not require a repair. A flap of indoor/outdoor carpeting was laying over a step that Nationwide said was a broken and missing step. I could repair it with a stapler, but no, I would have to pay $200-$300 for a licensed contractor to do it! When I asked for an extension of the deadline, they informed me that it was not negotiable, and that they would cancel my policies. After more than twenty years of only one claim on my homeowners caused by wind, not maintenance problems, and NONE ON MY AUTO. Goodbye Nationwide!

Child’s account

I wrote a review yesterday about a child’s account. I was told only one parent can access this. I’m a bit baffled as to why both parents can’t have access to this account. For example, if I want to add money, I have to send this to my child’s father to put in and or monitor but as the mother I can’t have access to this, but I can open another account so we monitor two accounts for one child? This doesn’t make much sense to me. Is this something we can look into please as both parents should have equal rights to over see their child’s accounts. Can someone please email me and not send a link as I am able to find this information online. This is the second time I’m asking to speak to someone and a link has been sent instead of an actual response from and actual person.

waiting for them to call me back been…

waiting for them to call me back been calling and calling leaving messages and nobody will return my call back the last time I spoke to somebody in the claim department named Matthew. He gave me his manager George’s number told me to call him and still nothing my roof got torn up on April 1 and 2nd with the High winds all over San Antonio. It was even on the news and they still won’t pay attention to me. They sent me a letter through the mail and said my roof is not covered because of wear and tear how can that be when they came to start the policy one year ago and took pictures how can wear and tear happen within one year it’s not like like cars drive on it I will continue to write reviews until I get a check through the mail that will cover my damages

Car insurance..if u need to call just keep pressing 1 at every decision juncture.

Car insurance... Honestly the worst phone system I've ever experienced. Took my elderly mum 40mins to speak to a human when she broke down. That was only because i got there and just pressed 1 at every decision juncture. Took about 4 presses and I got a person. After that all fine. I am 100% positive noone from nationwide gives a flying f what anyone in here says, but I advise you to use the system before you sign it off.

Terrible service

I am locked out of my vehicle. I've called NW 3 times in the last 30 min and either got AI which would not transfer me to a live agent or live agents who were having phone system problems. It's frustrating to need the help of your insurance company and can't even get them on the phone!! NW needs to do better for the amount of money I pay for my policy.

Dropped Us Once my Dog Became a Senior

I have had my dog on their pet insurance policy since I got her. And while on it, she gets diagnosed with 2 incurable conditions, and then she turned 7, and she was dropped! I will now NEVER be able to get those conditions covered under a different insurance plan because they are now pre-existing. So avoid this company; they really suck, and just think about their bottom line like a typical big company.

Nationwide not concerned with their clients financial interest

After having to jump through the numerous hoops to speak to a real person about getting a payoff amount to payoff a loan to my own annuity, an autopay was deducted from my regular checking account a few weeks later. The only way to turn off the autopay is to call customer service and jump through the numerous hoops they have in place. When I made this call the day after the unnecessary autopay was deducted (April 7th) I was informed that it would not be refunded until the 20th. Now it’s the 20th and they are telling me it will be the 21st. All of this was unnecessary. Nationwide is a long standing financial institution that should have it together enough for their clients to not have to endure this frustration. However, I have come to the conclusion after speaking with several different people (never the same one) including a manager that this was intentional. They have now had free use of my money for two weeks. If the situation were reversed I am positive they would be charging me interest. I just hope that I get my money back tomorrow.
Nationwide neglected its responsibility to inform me at the time I reached out for the payoff amount that I would need to call them again to turn off the autopay. It can’t be done online or via their app and it wasn’t automatically done in the paying off of the loan. Then after numerous calls to them and never speaking to the same person they informed me that I would have to wait two weeks to get my money back. It will actually be more than two weeks if I even get it back tomorrow.
Update: They still have not returned my money. They said one more day. We’ll see.

This company has changed for the worse

This company has changed for the worse. They still have been decent with (expensive level of) car collision coverage. But the home owners insurance is terrible.
NY Law(!) requires a mold assessor to be licensed and knowledgeable. They sent an adjuster with no such credentials, did not do what NYS Law requires in the assessment of the situation, and paid only for an inadequate job done without follow-up (the follow-up also required under NY Law). Not knowing NY Law at the time, I thought she actually did a decent job in taking care of the problem; much to my anguish I found I was taken in by her (scamming me) when a month later I got seriously sick from the mold spores still floating around the place When I left for my family's place in NYC, a doctor there told me I had a "dark spot" on my lung and prescribed 3 antibiotics. Luckily that worked
Nationwide is still refusing to appropriately deal with the situation. I'm reporting them to the NYS Insurance Department, and the NYS AG

Support liars. Terrible company

I wish I could give this company a zero. Denied a claim when one of their customers was at fault and who almost hurt a child. Completely disgusting company. Go with someone else! Terrible custom service.

The worst bank ever

The worst bank ever. They have a glitch on their banking app which they admit. They carry on paying standing orders despite being cancelled and then won’t pay the money back! They’ve tried lying and gaslighting and out of £900 they offered £175 for their ‘glitch’ NO PAY ME BACK THE MONEY YOU OWE ME AND ALL OF IT TOO. I’ve gone to the financial ombudsman now. All their promises of what they’ll do if they take money fraudulently from your account is a big lie. They treat you like David and Goliath and your money isn’t safe with these liars.

I give nationwide 1 star they are truly…

I give nationwide 1 star they are truly unethical.
I started an application through my company for pet insurance. They sent me a request for required information for the policy to be active. I decided not to provide that information but they went ahead and charge me anyway out of my paycheck because they had access to my paycheck. Pay very close attention because they will not treat you fairly.
